There are four primary versions of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences; Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat/ Reconnaissance); the Tornado ADV (Air Defence Variant) interceptor; and the Tornado CAS (Close Air Support) armoured tank-buster. In 2008 Air Forces Monthly labelled the aircraft "for more than a quarter of a century... the most important military aircraft in Western Europe."

The Tornado CAS is a specialised version of the normal Eurofighter Tornado designed for close-air support, as an equivalent to the A-10 Thunderbolt II and Su-25/Su-39 Frogfoot. The Tornado CAS can operate as a subsonic fighter-bomber or tank-buster with high survivability ratings, intended to be used on the front line while maintaining sophisticated equipment and a broad variety of strike weapons available.

Royal Air Force on behalf of the Royal Armory

We would like to make an offer for business which we think is more than fair. We wish to buy 40 Eurofighter EF 2000 Typhoon's at full price and purchase a contract to build 60 by mid 2010. In addition, we would purchase 6 trainers. The contract may be extended to the purchase of 20 more aircraft and a license extension to build another 20.

Eurofighter GmbH would like to inform the Royal Marquen Air Force that its proposal has been deemed as incapable of being accepted at the present time. We offer, however, to produce 60 EF 2000 Typhoon Block 5 plus six trainer aircraft for the Royal Marquen Air Force, with a further 40 produced and sent in kits for assembly at the Marquen Royal Armoury.

The option of a further 20 Block 5 aircraft, with another 20 of the same variant in kits, is also given. The total price of the order will be $3.5 billion, with a further $1.28 billion if the option is taken. Deliveries will begin in January 2010, with the aim of completing them by December 2010, due to the large volume of your order.

There will be four batches of aircraft deliveries, one for every three months of production (April, July and October 2010 and January 2011.) Each batch will include 15 VRL produced and assembled EF 2000 Block 5, and 10 VRL produced EF 2000 Block 5 for assembly at Royal Armoury. The first two batches will include three training aircraft each.

We find these terms acceptable. We will pay half now and half after the first shipment is received. We request the delivery of a training aircraft as soon as possible so we can begin training instructors. We will decide on the option by March, 2010.

Thank you for your speedy response.

We would like to get a price quote for 30 A400M aircraft. We would also like to know when they will enter production. If an acceptable price can be agreed upon, we may be interested in placing an order so long as the timetable is also acceptable.

[Press Release] Airbus Military GmbH - A VRL Company

With honour, Airbus Military would like to finally announce that deliveries of the first operational A400M transport aircraft is currently expected to begin between the late first and early second trimester of 2010, after the beginning of low-scale mass production.

Our programme, which has been ridden with a number of delays thus far, is entering a final route towards mass-production, and we will begin with our current launch customers Belmont, Eiffelland, Franken and Wiese.

Unit price for the international market is expected to be at €100 to €120 million per aircraft. The A400M is the first truly new transport aircraft design in over three decades, with a full glass cockpit, and a number of different configurations available.

[Secret IC] Belmont: Thank you for choosing Airbus Military. Under current standards, the delivery of your A400M can be expected to begin between March and April 2010, at a rate of one per month, given priority has been given to the existent orders of the three partner countries Eiffelland, Franken and Wiese. The total cost, including training and a number of spare parts, is expected to reach some €800 million.

[Secret IC] Batavia: Thank you for choosing Airbus Military. Upon consultation of the board of directors and partner governments, Airbus Military is currently authorised to export up to 10 Airbus Military A400M, with the option for 5 more, at the price of €1.25 billion for the original order plus €600 million if the option is taken. Deliveries, assuming production begins as planned, can be expected to begin starting in June or July 2010 at a rate of 2 per month.

We also inquire whether it is acceptable to announce limited details of this deal to international media, in accordance to our intention to maintain a general openness of our arms contracts, and if it is indeed acceptable, how much detail would you mind seeing in public.

Communiqué Privé

Greetings,

We thank you for the approval of the order and are delighted to accept the offer as well as the option for five additional aircraft. The down payments will be delivered by wire on Monday from our bank account in Augsburg. Aircraft may be flown to Windhoek Air Force Base on Windhoek Island for delivery.

Also, permission is hereby granted for the entire order to be released to the media. We have nothing to hide.

OOC: I applaud the use of longer times for more realism, however, June 2010 is a long way off when you think about it. Would it be possible to bring those dates a bit closer? I will be participating in an overseas internship probably beginning in May so I wouldn't even be able to make use, if you understand. If not, I also understand. Hopefuly a compromise can be reached.

[OOC] Please check your messages. As I stated there it's because of the order volume of the primary launch customers and a fixed production scale; if you lodge an in-character complaint or request, your order is more than likely capable of being fulfilled earlier, perhaps at an increased cost if it proves to be a hassle for a launch customer. In the worst case, Wiese's government can be willing to swap some of its orders with Batavia's in order to accommodate your orders earlier, though this might cost a compensation. [/OOC]
Airbus Military GmbH, a VRL company, is pleased to have conducted business with your government. We shall include your country among the launch customers in the next relevant press release.

Also, we would like to inform you that our company is capable and willing to handle service and maintenance of your purchased aircraft, with a limited warranty of their operability.

[Secret IC] [Belmont]

Airbus Military GmbH recommends the dispatch of pilots prior to deliveries to be properly instructed and trained for the A400M. These pilots can then function as instructors for future Royal Air Force pilots.

In accordance with your wish, the exact details of the Belmontien A400M order will only be notified to the relevant authorities as per the law our company operates under.

Also, we would like to inform you that our company is capable and willing to handle service and maintenance of your purchased aircraft, with a limited warranty of their operability.

Upon agreement from the partners of VRL GmbH, the production of the A400M military transport is to commence ahead of schedule and earlier within February 2010. The aircraft was anticipated during late February.

We wish to inform our customers that their orders will, too, be affected by this rescheduling, free of additional charges. The Airbus Military A400M is open to orders from international customers and will be displayed at the ongoing Hajr Military Exhibition for any potential customers.
