Honourable Master Ambassador,
I am writing to you as directed by His Imperial Majesty to address the concerns that your government might naturally have regarding the rejection of the Imperial Decree to Declare War on your Communist enemies by the Senate. This letter was sent by a trusted courrier and delivered to your hand secretly, so I am certain that Your Honour would have understood that its very existence is to be kept a secret from anyone but the very upper echelons of your cabinet, and to everyone in Tiburia. The Emperor did not trust electronic communications, as a direct call to Eiffelland could be traced, and a call to you would be easily monitored by the Army Counterintelligence Directorate (YAS) and the Special Directorate for State Security (DEAK), whose loyalties are uncertain, due to its very nature. However, your communications to Trier are not easily monitorable and are not suspicious, while a plane could deliver a copy of this message to Trier by the end of today. The Emperor will meet you in person later today. Please act as if this message does not exist, and do not mention in any way, shape, or form, or else the YAS or the DEAK will know.
The rejection of the Decree and the betrayal of Mr. Anastasiades, while unfortunate, are but a temporary hindrance to the Crown's commitment to the Trier Concord. Suffice it to say that the Constitution, under the interpretation advanced by many prominent scholars, the Church, and the Imperial Household since its adoption confirms the Divine Right to Rule and acknowledges the Power of the Sovereign to assume Direct Control of the Governance of the Polity, in times of national danger or emergency. HIM plans to use this prerogative by the end of tomorrow, so as to assume control of the state and bring the Empire into the war, disempowering and dissolving the Senate. Any opposition to the war by Mr. Anastasiades and his political allies would be legally supressed after that point, once the Wartime Sedition Laws are brought into effect. The High Command of all branches of the Armed Forces, even the most untrustworthy, the Army, is on the Crown's side, as are the Security Services, a fact which was confirmed earlier today by the Military Office of HIM Household.
From tomorrow on, I shall assume the duties currently held by the Logothete of the Exterior. The Military Office and the High Command have already raised the readiness of HIM Armed Forces, and while this is being played down as a defensive measure in the media, the Northern Military District and all three Fleets, including the Marines, are combat-ready, and will be fully deployable within a few days. As for the interior, the Politarchy and loyal elements of the First Army will surely suffice to disperse any opposition to the Crown. The Tiburian public has always been passive in the face of the Armed Forces' intervention in politics, and this time will be no different. The General Directorate for State Security (DGAK) is ready to deploy its plans to dissolve and eliminate the DKKP, which will be the only organise capable of putting up a noteworthy fight; however, the DKKP is a small fringe faction, and will be easily crushed once the normal legal barriers to the authorities' doing their job are lifted.
The Crown remains committed to our countries' alliance. If your government can persevere against the Red Onslaught, the Empire will be able to deploy considerable forces and halt the Kadikistani advance by the end of next week. Please direct all communications concerning the war and our relations, as well as those for the Trier Concord to my Office, or the corresponding Offices of HIM Household through the Special Liaison Intelligence of the Crown to DGAK. The Crown extends its warmest wishes to both you, Master Ambassador, and to the Sovereign and People of Eiffelland.
