Where is Antarctica? Who is Antarctica? I'll do you one better...
I promised to make a thread on the new Antarctic Region and have been a bit tardy in doing so. Alas! Here we go! The premise is really quite simple. There is a new region that cannot be claimed via conventional means. If you see it colored in white down south you cannot claim it on the map thread!
Instead mechanically, the intention is to make this region an EF Mandate. That means, congratulations, you thought you managed to cancel culture the European Forum, but you were wrong! Thus we have a short time-limited crisis. The EF Mandate system expires on January 1st, and if that isn't remedied, the region is rather open to IC-claims. Consider it the Mapmaker's Holiday Event 2021!
The next map update will include a marker for the EF Int'l Research Base. So you can all RP as though you have scientists there.
