ARCODOWZS PUBLIC RADIO
(Nradjnje Razsj Arcodowzs)

AIRED FIRST ON THE MORNING OF DECEMBER 7th,
a statement by Orda Marszjalk Agustin Brosz Khaletsj:

“32 years have now passed since the end of our war for independence, since the establishment of the Zarmaj State as a sovereign political entity. We have fought tooth and nail for this privilege as well as the privileges of personal freedoms, tribal rights, and international recognition. Zarmaj has become strong in the last 30 years, a fact to which our opponents are entirely ignorant. 10 years of constant war have hardened us, strengthening both our collective resolve and our armed forces. December 7 will be celebrated all across the State, but this Armistice Day is different from all others. As of 0456 hours this morning, the Gold Banner Army has been engaged in a full-out offensive against enemy forces over the entirety of the central front.

This is the first offensive of its kind to be launched by the State and the Gold Banner Army. All attacks done by the Gold Banner Army to this point have been reactionary in nature, miniature offensives orchestrated with the intent to reduce or eliminate enemy gains. This Armistice Day therefore marks the beginning of our military's inexorable drive towards Wislica, the corrupt heart of Lesser Sarmatia. A significant contingent of our nation's armed forces have been assigned this task, granted the honor of spearheading the assault upon the great fortress-capital. Our fortunes so far appear to be most favorable, many of the enemy's forward positions having been overrun and their troops forced into a retreat. We cannot however afford to delude ourselves, especially not now. There will be no easy victory to be found here. We are on the cusp of peace and glory, but it is a fleeting opportunity – something which must be seized firm with both hands! Here is where the hammer must fall, here is where the war must and will end.

We all stand shoulder-to-shoulder, whether we be Kharjatj, Mjarszat, Khaletsj or Uratow. This is Zarmaj, the free state for all Zarmaj, Cispji, and Khazars. We are all brothers of the steppes, and we can never forget the Lesser Sarmatian betrayal. Only here in the State do our people flourish, only here may our tribes coexist. Never again will we accept foreign rule, this a sincere promise. Work together comrades, contribute all you can to the war effort. The State needs you now more than ever, especially with the war's conclusion now potentially in our sights. Any assistance rendered to the armed forces is precious, and all those who provide material donations will be duly honored by the State Defense Committee.

We drove out the Zsjatj invaders in 1979, and we will do so again here in 2011. Let this be our second declaration of independence, a statement that Zarmaj refuses to be conquered.”

DULWICH, FRIDAY, 30th DECEMBER 2011

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty The Queen-Empress
to make known the following gracious Statement of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty
in respect of the Engagements of the Near East.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.

THE ENGAGEMENTS AND DISTURBANCES OF THE NEAR EAST

I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;

The intelligence of war of 1979 did not fail to produce in Great Engellex a feeling of deep and sincere anxiety at the loss of peace in the distant corner of the Near East and the unknown destiny for those people determined to achieve their want of independence. At the time his late Majesty the King in particular expressed quite a regret on the violence that erupted in a part of Europe that had fascinated the imaginations of not just the industrialists and artists of Great Engellex, but also its King.

To-day her Royal and Imperial Majesty, the Queen-Empress, has since addressed a letter to the Council of State, couched are the most agreeable and satisfactory terms, and in which her Engellexic Majesty, after recapitulating the advice which the Queen-Empress had received from his Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Greater Sarmatia, stated her earnest desire to maintain a line traced out by the imperial policy of Greater Sarmatia in the Near East, and to maintain that interest with Lesser Sarmatia and Zarmaj, which shall in the future be a foundation of close association between the Empire of Preuti-Borussia and the Near East.

Her Royal and Imperial Majesty the Queen-Empress has transmitted a statement on the recent events through his Excellency the Engellexic Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Stary Hrodino who, it is expected, shall reach Arcodowsk to-morrow evening.

By the Grace of GOD, of the EMPIRE of GREAT ENGELLEX, CHARLOTTE, the QUEEN-EMPRESS, through the SECRETARY of STATE, Sir ANTHONY PELHAM-HOLLES

Rationing Instituted in Western Territories; poor harvest prompts relief effort
Authored by Karol Jwan Arpad, per (Korszozs Pravdj) official commission
A poor harvest in the lands of the Solomantj and Heojrj tribes in the western reaches of the State has lead to the institution of rationing in the area's urban areas and within several of the larger townsteads. The yield for this year in grains was off by the State quota by a surprising 33%, forcing the local commandant, Marszjalk Ewjan I.C. Timszow to implement food rationing procedures in the province.

Though the infrastructure for it has been in place since the beginning of hostilities with Lesser Sarmatia, rationing has yet to be instituted anywhere in the State until this point. Previous deficiencies in provincial food production have been usually accounted for by surpluses elsewhere, and were so carried by that excess. The previous year's poor weather and unusually wet summer resulted in poor performance all across the State, the national production quota as a whole being off by an estimated 9%. It is expected that the shortfalls will be accounted for by available stockpiles of imperishable foodstuffs, but some among both the Presidium and the armed forces hesitate in making use of these valuable reserves.

"The poor harvest is troubling," commented Manszjalk Tomazs U.L. Arpaw, speaking on behalf of his superior, Kolszjalk Arkadj Ilarj Dorden of the SDC, "but this is no true famine we're looking at here."

"This occurred before in both 2003 and 2005," he continued, "in both cases the quota being off by a similar percentile. In both instances, the import of foreign foodstuffs was key in supplementing our domestic production."

While it is true that food in the form of grains was imported in substantial quantities during both these years, primarily from Yujin and Touzen, this help did not come cheaply. The purchase put a heavy drain upon the State Treasury, and the distribution of the food even more expensive with the infrastructure for their fair dispersal not in place. With the army supply network fully established and up to the task of implementing rationing, it has been argued by some in the Presidium that instituting rationing measures would be a significantly more economical policy than importing food. More importantly, argued Depty Gol Taras Janow, it would save us from having to use our "precious" and "currently irreplaceable" strategic reserves.

Rationing policies are to be properly implemented in their full in the western territories by the end of January, with citizens there receiving a weekly allowance of separate ration coupons. Since the current shortage is in basic foodstuffs, such items as liquor, butter, or cooking oil will not be subject to restrictions. The SDC and the Presidium are both expected to make a formal announcement regarding the issue in the near future, particularly in regards to how it may pertain to the entire nation.

Offshore Platforms returned to Lesser Sarmatian company
Authored by Krjstoff Rozs Lawrentij, per (Korszozs Pravdj) official commission
Following a ruling by the Supreme Tribune yesterday, the State Coast Guard has been ordered to return control of two offshore oil drilling platforms to the minor Lesser Sarmatian petroleum company, LozsGaz. The two platforms had both been seized by the Coast Guard during the first month of hostilities, their crews transferred to the mainland for temporary detention. However, the Supreme Tribune, following a close investigation and debate regarding the issue, yesterday declared that the seizure and operation of these platforms by Zarmaj State forces was entirely unlawful and is, in fact, a violation of the State Constitution.

The seizure of private property, irrespective of whether or not the nation is engaged in a state of war, is claimed by Legate Ilarj Razscieniw to be a grave violation of both international rights and the Zarmaj Constitution. The operation of the platforms for the benefit of the State is technically another breach, as it is also illegal for the ruling government of the State to run any "business" or "publicly funded risk-based trade venture" for profit. All this considered, the Tribune therefore ruled that the two platforms ought to be returned to the company and due compensation paid, whenever possible, for all the oil extracted from the two wells.

The Supreme Tribune's decision has reportedly caused some stir in both the State Defense Committee and the Presidium, many members of which are quite unhappy to lose direct control of the two platforms. Having been administered by the Zarmaj Armed Forces, all production went straight to supplying that very same military, and there are now fears that LozsGaz will not longer sell to the State.

Protests also occurred almost immediately after the decision was made public, several dissidents waving signs and shouting profanities outside the Supreme Tribunal in Arcodowzs. Local police broke up these demonstrations earlier this morning for lack of a permit, but it is expected that they will soon return with one.

Neither the SDC nor the State Marshall have yet commented on the Supreme Tribune's ruling.

In the spirit of Slavic fraternity the KPR is prepared to provide Zarmaj with food aid in sufficient quantities to ensure the proper nourishment of Zarmaj's population. Kyiv is deeply concerned about the threat posed by chronic malnutrition to Zarmaj's health & well-being and so is willing to provide deliveries to cover the period until the next harvest free of charge.

Lesser Sarmatia refuses open city proposal; intent on further bloodshed
Authored by Tadeuzs Karolj Uratow, per given official independent commission, SDC
The Sanation government of Lesser Sarmatia has recently responded to the noble proposal put forth by Marszjalk Miihajl Lew Rozs Mjarszat, unequivocally refusing to consider the open city preposition offered by the Gold Banner Army. The idea was raised by the State Defense Committee during the advent of the final stage of offensive operations in the north, with Zarmaj troops mere kilometers from the outermost suburbs of Wislica, the capital of Lesser Sarmatia. It was transmitted via diplomatic communique to the offices of various prominent statesmen in the Lesser Sarmatian government with the polite proposal that Wislica be declared an open city for the purpose of further military operations.

The dispatch, authorized by the Orda Marszjalk himself, listed in no uncertain terms the reasons and conditions for the necessity of such a declaration. They are listed herein, in Marszjalk Rozs Mjarszat's own words:

“1. The declaration of Wislica as an open city for the purpose of further military maneuvers; such that all engaged parties will make the sincerest effort to undertake military actions only outside a certain proximity of the city proper. As a veritable fortress, the State Defense Committee concedes that taking Wislica would be a difficult feat indeed to achieve, but the attempt alone would cause irreparable damage to the historic city. As proven in other conflicts, civilian casualties are invariably higher in such urban engagements than those of actual military participants.
2. The declaration of Wislica and its immediate surroundings as a no-fly zone for both civilian and military aircraft, such as to coincide with the previous aforementioned declaration of the area as a neutral and non-combatant territory.

In considering the prepositions listed herein, remember that the Zarmaj State does not suggest these measures from the position of a beleaguered defender, nor necessarily from the podium of a triumphant and ready conqueror. The Zarmaj State seeks to appeal to the common sense and latent altruism of the Lesser Sarmatian leadership, such as to minimize any further unnecessary bloodshed in an already long and bloody war.”

The Lesser Sarmatian refusal, therefore, comes as something of a shock. It is quite disturbing to think that the Lesser Sarmatian Sanation regime could be so callous and unfeeling so as to reject what can only be considered to be a fair and altruistic suggestion. They understand perfectly well that as a militarized zone, it is a vital target to the Gold Banner Army – and it is therefore particularly disgusting to witness the regime's especial willingness to subject its innocent civilian populations to the abject horror characteristic of urban street-to-street warfare. The battle is already raging within Wislica's suburbs, shells falling upon identified military targets within the city proper. As an act of military necessity, the capture of Wislica has been mandated to the Gold Banner Army as a primary objective, despite the obscene predictions regarding civilian casualties and material damage to the city itself.

“It is most regrettable that we must undertake this attack, this siege,” commented Marszjalk Rozs Mjarszat when interviewed, “but it is ultimately inescapable. We've come very far in these last ten years, and we now stand at the very gates to Lesser Sarmatia's corrupt heart. It was my sincerest wish that it would not come to this, but now that it has, we must make every effort to finish the fight here – to assert our sovereignty and independence.”

The News in Brief:
HOME The rationing measures which were set to take effect in the western territories at the beginning of the next month have been canceled in their entirety by the Presidium in the wake of an enormous import bid put forth by several leading foreign and domestic agricultural firms. Premier amongst them is a Kyivan State-sponsored agricultural corporation, offering to provide deliveries to cover the entire period up until the next harvest for a price considered “very surprising” by analysts and officials.

HOME The Orda Marszjalk has announced that he has canceled his scheduled visit to Touzen, citing several pressing domestic concerns as the reason. He offered a sincere apology to the Ambassador of Touzen, rescheduling to an unspecified date sometime during the spring.

MIĘDZYMORZE Lesser Sarmatian firm ”LozsGaz” reports unexpected boom in stocks following return of its offshore platforms. The company experienced a drastic decrease following their seizure but has now appeared to have rebounded past pre-war levels. It is expected that they will only continue to rise now that the company has negotiated a contract with the Zarmaj State government.

Kyivan freighter sunk in Lomsza Bay; Lesser Sarmatian Air Force responsible
Authored by Jwgenj Sjadj Jitarinaw, per given official independent commission, SDC
The Kyivan freighter 'Hryvinia' was sunk today as it entered Zarmaj territorial waters in the Lomsza Bay, attacked seemingly at random by two fighter aircraft reportedly of the Lesser Sarmatian Air Force. Air defense fighters were scrambled almost immediately after the two raiders were spotted on radar, but the closest airfield was still too far away for them to arrive in time to save the ship. The Hryvinia had, by their arrival, sustained two missiles to its port side and was already taking in great quantities of water. With the vessel rapidly submerging, coast guard cutters and other rescue vessels were quickly dispatched to the scene and succeeded in rescuing all but three of the crewmen.

"They bore down on the ship from the north-northeast," reported Arszat-Sjarszan Klazsjuzs U.S. Heojrj, one of the radar operators at the Rzsjatzs installation close to the coast. "It's likely they were returning from a sea patrol, not something we've observed too much, and just happened upon the ship."

"They were on a visible arc of attack from the first moment we spotted them, though," he added. "That was about fifty or so kilometers out, just outside of visual range. Seems to me like they were ordered to sink the ship, rather than just randomly coming upon it and firing away."

The testimony of the two radar operators responsible for reporting and monitoring this incident has proven to be quite instrumental in the brief investigation conducted by the State Defense Committee and the Zarmaj Armed Forces, which ascertained in short order that the attack had indeed been orchestrated by aircraft of the Lesser Sarmatian Air Force. Marszjalk Miihajl Lew Rosz Mjarszat was quick to condemn the action on behalf of the State Defense Committee, calling the attack a "prime violation of the international laws of warfare" and stating that "attacks against foreign civilian shipping” are“wholly unacceptable.”

Further condemnations were issued by the State Presidium as well as Kolszjalk-Marszant Jozsjf Lawrentij, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs under Orda Marszjalk Agustin Brosz Khaletsj. Both released quite substantial declarations regarding the legality, and, in great detail, listed the moral issues and ramifications of such unscrupulous attacks. An order by the Orda Marszjalk himself was given immediately following the latter's issued declaration, proclaiming that fighters with the Zarmaj Armed Forces will now be engaging in permanent armed patrols of the northern Lomsza Bay as well as the entrance to it; such as to prevent any other similar incidents.

All the crewmen rescued from the Hryvinia have been relocated to a hospital in Arcodowzs, and several are currently under treatment for hypothermia or other injuries they sustained during the attack. Following their medical release, it is expected that they will be promptly released back into the custody of the Kyivan embassy there and returned home. Three men are missing and presumed dead, all of them assumed to have gone down with the ship. Flags of the State all along the coastline are at half-mast today in honor of the three deceased sailors, victims of what can only be construed as a terrorist and rogue act by the Lesser Sarmatian military.

Political analysts are particularly interested in the international response to the attack, particularly the circumstances regarding it. Many claim that further condemnations will follow, though now from the international community.

The News in Brief:
HOME The LozsGaz petroleum firm has signed a deal with the Zarmaj Slanbjoro Corporation to construct a sizable refining complex southeast of Arcodowzs. This is meant to correspond with the recent return of the company's two very profitable offshore compounds on the State's northeastern coast, as well as the renegotiation of a similarly profitable contract the firm enjoys with the Zarmaj State itself.

HOME The advance on Wislica, the capital of Lesser Sarmatia, continues. Gold Banner Army troops advanced another four kilometers into the suburbs of the city today, engaged in heavy fighting against entrenched infantry. Commanders remain optimistic and continue the offensive, determined that they'll achieve a substantial breakthrough in the near future.

MIĘDZYMORZE The People's Republic of Boliatur has recently announced its intention to remove itself from isolation, declaring its wish to establish diplomatic relations with the State. A statement from Kolszjalk-Marszant Jozsjf Lawrentij was dispatched to the new regime, with both congratulations and warnings listed, the State expecting to establish a permanent correspondence with the country's new government.

INTERNATIONAL Reports abound in the international media of an ongoing genocide in the southern reaches of Himyar, perpetrated by the Cidonian government and armed forces against tribesmen in the country's north. There has been only a limited response to these events by other governments, and the State government itself has also failed to comment for the time being.

The Most Humble Pravadir, the Unity, and the people of the Zalonarusan Republic are appalled by this unjustified act of violence by the Lesser Sarmatian Sanation Government. While we Zalonarus do our best to maintain a mediating role in this ten-year conflict, there are simply some lines that should never be crossed. This act of terrorism, no different from the tactics of the fallen Grand Republican regime, are a stain on our collective Slavic heritage. To assault Civilian assets, Slavic civilian assets, no less, is a shameful display of barbarism that is decidedly un-Slavic. We Zalonarus expected better of our Lesser Sarmatian brothers, but it seems our expectations were too high.

The Most Humble Pravadir, the Unity, and the people of the Zalonarusan Republic promise immediate reprisal to this heresy that goes against the Great Plan of the Almighty, and against our Great Slavic Brotherhood.

Statement by the Department of Foreign Affairs

A truly vile act has occurred in the Lomsza Bay, one that frames our glorious nation in the despicable light of terrorism, and in its blinding glare shields the true culprits of this act so heinous and despicable. We hereby condemn in the strongest terms the rebels of Zarmaj, those animals who have lost their right to call themselves Slavs by being so desperate to achieve their evil goals, in the face of strengthening resistance by our armies, that they must drag other Slavs into this conflict through death and destruction, and then pin the responsibility on us!

This is the primary example of the tactics of a coward, a rat, a mongrel that fits the description of their blood claim to the description of Slav. This act of treachery shall not be forgiven nor forgotten by the people of Lesser Sarmatia, and we shall burn it into our minds when we inevitably lay waste to your armies and bring your people back to the fold, where they belong.

Hail Lesser Sarmatia!

Sincerely,
Jan Gorecki

State Abolitionist Bloc hosts rally in Arcodowzs; full leadership in attendance
Authored by Ilarja Uladja Janow, per (Korszozs Pravdj) official commission & (SAB) formal request 1/28/11
The State Abolitionist Bloc has organized a rally today in Wjeneszslaw Park beside the Supreme Tribunal in downtown Arcodowzs. With police approval and protection, the event has been advertised by the coalition to be the largest such rally to be held by them to date, with a great many among the party leadership in attendance. Several thousand State citizens have also turned out to participate, the park's two-kilometer expanse being filled near to the brim with people on this Saturday.

Several high-profile members of the Freedom Foundation, the primary international Post-Delegationist political organization, have also flown in to be a part of the rally. Krjstoff Lew Ilarj Janow, a highly placed individual in the Freedom Foundation and one of the State Abolitionist Bloc's key ideological thinkers, has also made an appearance at the rally, and is expected to feature quite prominently in the ensuing events. He is scheduled to speak at some length about Post-Delegationism as an ideology itself, and with particular attention to the issues which need to be addressed in the State for it to potentially prosper. Some attention will also be drawn towards Abolitionism itself, the particular brand of the Post-Delegationist ideology which L.I. Janow advertises as especially suited for Zarmaj.

As one of the country's premier political institutions, the State Abolitionist Bloc has been granted a full permit for the entire weekend by both the Arcodowzs Metropolitan Police Department as well as the Supreme Tribunal. The rally is slated to cease sometime during this evening and to resume in the morning, with many speakers from the SAB as well as foreign Post-Delegationist organizations expected to appear.

"Adjustments," I.L. Janow told reporters when asked what the focus of discussion would be, grinning from ear to ear. "It is potentially the case that Post-Delegationism as an ideology faces the same conflict as socialism does when it is considered in the context of any particular country."

"Each nation is unique," he continued, "and as such, the ideology must make certain concessions -- just as socialism must -- and adapt in some small form to suit particular conditions which simply cannot be changed, whether they be cultural or geographic factors. The ideal of the abolition of the collective, of the mere notion of slavery, is still a primary goal, but it ought to be acknowledged that the path to change is different everywhere."

I.L. Janow's Collected Works serve as one of the leading guideline texts for the State Abolitionist Bloc, and the party has, in recent years, adopted many of the man's beliefs particularly as it concerns Zarmaj itself.

As a highly-publicized and televised event, the purpose of the rally is, ultimately, to draw attention to the SAB in preparation for the oncoming Presidium elections.

The News in Brief:
HOME The Slanbjoro Corporation has formally announced the chartering of the new "Sjodnij Zhezl" PMC firm, organizing it as a division of its already quite sizable international security firm. Intended for operations overseas, Sjodnij Zhezl is intended to appeal primarily to markets in Touzen and Jurchen, where the domestic demand for private security has skyrocketed in recent years. "Zaszat Wlagj" and several other prominent Zarmaj PMCs have made great profits in these areas, and Slanbjoro is clearly trying to get a piece of the prize too while it still can.

HOME Zarmaj troops have halted the Lesser Sarmatian advance several kilomteres outside of Gwjna, counterattacking in the north-west and wresting control of the Mara from enemy forces. The fighting is fierce and is expected to continue for several days, Lesser Sarmatian troops stubbornly holding onto their positions outside the Bulwark.

MIĘDZYMORZE Zalonarus and Kyiv both condemn the Lesser Sarmatian attack on the Hryvinia, both countries cutting off any diplomatic and even material support to the Sanation regime. Their response bit deep, prompting a series of frantic and belligerent foreign dispatches from the Sanation government to those of the states listed.

INTERNATIONAL Zamosca, a province of Altai, recently achieved independence in the Treaty of Talemaniki. The State Presidium has refused recognition of the new country until a constitution is charted and elections held, citing concerns that it may not be a "truly free state."

Arcodowzs Municipal Authority tentatively announces reopening of the Ilarj Sjarsz International Airport; renovations pending
Authored by Sjasz Ilarj Engjaszj, per (Korszozs Pravdj) official commission & (AMA) formal request 1/28/11
The Arcodowzs Municipal Authority, responsible for urban development and architectural supervision within the Arcodowzs metropolitan area, has recently released a statement wherein it has announced that it aims to reopen the Ilarj Sjarsz International Airport by the end of this year.

Located just a dozen kilometers from the city's outskirts, the Ilarj Sjarsz International Airport was constructed following the Liberation War by the official commission of the State Presidium. It is currently owned by the Arcodowzs Municipal Authority, which was compelled to shut down most of the terminals and cancel all but domestic flights from the airport immediately after the beginning of the Lesser Sarmatian invasion. With recent military success in the north, the AMA has made public its intention to hopefully make the airport properly functional for international flights by the end of this year. Its strategic location in the eastern end of the Pontic Steppe ensures it a place of prominence among Europe's other premier international airports, as its position makes it a key point of confluence for travel between north Cathay and Scano-Germania.

In addition to the reopening, the AMA has also announced that it will be renovating several of the terminals and even constructing a new one at the airport's south end, complete with a new runway. This project is being conducted with the support of the Slanbjoro Corporation, Tarazs Rail & Energy, as well as the Touzen-based firm, Akimoto Aeronautics. Many of the electronics and radar equipment currently in service with the airport will be upgraded or replaced by more modern variants with the assistance of the last company, who are just one of many foreign investors in the project.

One of the more controversial additions to the airport is a planned housing and office compound, intended to serve the needs of the various security personnel the airport will employ. A representative from AMA has made it quite clear in several recent releases that the Arcodowzs Municipal Police will not be responsible for the airport's security, and that instead several private firms will be contracted to provide that particular service. Zaszat Wlagj and the newly founded Sjodnij Zhezl have both been several very lucrative contracts apiece by the AMA and are expected to begin operations quite shortly.

With the Tomasz Fjorej Khaletsj Airfield having been completed last month, the airport's military contingent will soon depart Arcodowzs's sole airport. The State Defense Committee has already agreed that the entire facility would be handed back to civilian and private control following the completion of renovations and its subsequent reopening.

"It is a testament, a symbol, of the State's growing importance in the east," said Lew Arseonj Solomantj of the reopening, speaking on behalf of the AMA during a press conference early this morning. "People from all around the world will pass through this place, through Ilarj Sjarsz International Airport, and they will be amazed by what we have here in the State -- all we have to offer. It is a sign of progress, of our country's growing role in economic and political affairs here in the orient."

Economic analysts have also lauded the move, as it is expected to generate a considerable number of jobs and provide yet another venue for imports and State income.

The News in Brief:
HOME Seven troopers dead after a lengthy skirmish in the eastern reaches, a deadly short-range firefight having broke out between two squads of patrolling infantry. Zarmaj forces mounted a brief retaliatory attack, withdrawing after dealing some damage to the Lesser Sarmatian line.

HOME The State Defense Committee has announced the chartering of the 191a Orzja Hrodj, honorific pending. With the north being surprisingly hot, the State Defense Committee has repeated its calls for more recruits, encouraging able-bodied citizens to volunteer for the State Armed Forces.

INTERNATIONAL The Adrari Socialist Party has recently orchestrated a coup d'état in Jurzan, seizing control of the apparatus of the state and effectively destroying the country's former multi-party republican system. It has declared itself the sole and ruling party of the country, de facto banning all opposition groups. The Orda Marszjalk and Presidium have both issued condemnations, calling for the return of democracy to the country.
