It is with regret that we must now be notifying the Yuan Empire that the Republic has suspended the agreement that was reached in Cunill these months ago regarding greater cooperation over Gran Moluca and the various initiatives to further increase trade between our nations. We have given adequate time for entities to begin to make their decisions over the Far Northern Republic, and the silence of most of the world over the Caledonian affair is one that is quite sickening to the stomach of the Caudillo and the rest of the ministers myself included.
The world laid silent while warfare over diplomacy was the chosen avenue and the world did nothing, and now the world remains silent beyond declaring they will not recognize the FNR but have no stomach for actually taking measures to force the necessary change. We had hoped that the Yuan Empire as one of the largest economies in the world, and a status as a world leader would make the choice that is correct, one that showed it too cared about territorial integrity and diplomacy over that of diplomacy at the barrel of a gun, but it too has remained silent and we cannot in good mind, body, and spirit do business as such.
Until such a time as the Empire decides to share the same ideals as the Republic we have suspended the agreement reached in Cunill, the purchase of the modified Tangzhen 5, or known in the Republic as the EF-6, has been temporarily placed on hold as well. As more time elapses we will be forced with no other option than full enforcement of our sanctions packages as ordered by the Caudillo, with this being the first step in the following the sanctions package. We do hope that the Yuan Empire decides to comply, as well as issue its own sanctions showing that it will take its position in the world seriously and stand up for what is morally right.
