In only a few days it will be Halloween weekend. A good time for nation leaders like yourself to kick back and relax, contemplating what the future for you and your nation may bring. That budget for next year has to be finalized soon. But you have it all under control, don't you? That's what you'd think, if it wasn't for those pesky Zombies which tend to crawl out of the local graveyard each Halloween, ... And this halloween as well, a zombie apocalypse is expected to befall the nations of NationStates.

Oracles have predicted that this years onslaught will be a bit more infectious, with stronger zombies. That doesn't bode well! Still, there's hope you can do better than , especially if you're the kind of ruler who can plausibly proclaim afterwards you really did intend to have fewer survivors this time around.
Europe too will be participating in Z-day, which, by the way, is fantastic fun. It's a time for the region to bond together and play one of the great sports of NationStates – preventing all of your citizens from being murdered by ravaging zombies.

In 2014, we lost citizens. In fact, we were the 13th worst region. And last year, we were also 13th. Compared to places like the Pacific, which did excellently last year, we aren't doing so hot. But this year, we can make a difference. There is much we can do. But a few grounding facts:

1. Military kill squads are based on your defence forces stat.

2. Your ability to use cure missiles are based on your cure development and scientific advancement stats.

3. Zombie empires are horrible for the region and cause people to die. Plus, playing as a zombie empire is much too easy. It simply isn't sporting.

Anyway, to prepare for Z-day, try to increase your defence forces and scientific advancement statistics. Oh, and about the zombie empires, we can either eject them or leave them around to screw everyone else. . Leaving them around though, changes the game from Hard to Near Fucking Impossible.

Anderson Holmes, the Prime Minister of Imperium Anglorum, ascends to a podium in the centre of some meeting of a European Parliament in an undisclosed nation. He says, grimly,

"Last year, billions of our fellow citizens died in the horrific onslaught of a zombie menace. This year, we want things to be different. Last year, billions of our fellow citizens were annihilated by inaction in hundreds of governments, their leaders indoctrinated by the zombie horde. This year, we will regain our freedom. Last year, we were taken unawares in a cowardly surprise attack. This year, we know where they are and how to get them."

Kill squads all the way. So what are we going for in Europe, most survivors?

Well, I'm hoping for getting more survivors this year. Last year, we were 13th in terms of deaths!

13th. Should be aiming for first with deaths. It's doable - not easily.
