Humanity has always looked at the birds with envious eyes. Flying through the air has always been a dream. The first attempt that succeeded was in the end of the 18th century, with a hot air balloon. The invention of the aeroplane really made the difference. Since then, the developments went fast. Now we can conclude only one thing: The future of long-range transport is in the air.

The Eiffellandian industry provides several solutions for air travel. One of them is the air ship, also known as the Zeppelin. This air ship can carry 72 passengers with luggage over the Thaumantic Ocean. A non-stop flight from Trier to Charleroi is possible with the Zeppelin. It is even possible to reach Gran Occidentia from Trier.
Air ships constructed by Darner Flugzeugwerke are filled with helium only, as per Eiffellandian safety regulations, which forbid the use of hydrogen-filled airships in the airspace of Eiffelland.

The Darner L200 is our most recent development. It is a four-engine plane that can carry up to 30 passengers with luggage over a distance of more than 3000 km (actually 3560 km / 2210 mi / 1920 nmi). But its main feature is the fact that it can fly at high altitude (up to 6 km / 19,700 ft) to save fuel. Its top speed is 380 km/h / 240 mph / 210 knots at 4.8 km / 15,700 ft altitude, and its cruise speed is 335 km/h / 208 mph / 181 knots at 4 km / 13,000 ft.
This plane is available as a civilian airliner, but also as a military transporter or bomber (with up to 1000 kg / 2200 lb of bombs internally or 5400 kg / 11,900 lb of bombs externally on underwing racks).

A smaller plane is the Darner L52. This plane can carry 17 passengers over 1000 km It’s top speed is 277 km/h / 172 mph / 149.5 knots at 910 meters /3000 ft altitude, and its cruise speed is 246 km/h / 153 mph / 133 knots at 910 meters / 3000 ft altitude. Its service ceiling is 5.9 km / 19,360 ft.
This plane is available as a civilian airliner, but also as a military transporter or bomber (with up to 500 kg / 1100 lb of bombs).

The SB3 is a dive bomber, designed for precision bombing of small targets. This plane can carry out a dive at close to 90 degrees.
But its most important technique is the fact that it can carry out much of the procedure automatically. As soon as the pilot sees the target through his bombsight window in the cockpit floor, he moves the dive lever backwards, sets the trim tabs, reduces the throttle and closes the coolant flaps. Then the plane automatically makes a 180 degrees roll and noses the aircraft into a dive. Systems are activated to start an automatic dive recovery system for the case that the pilot loses consciousness due to the heavy g-forces. Meanwhile, the plane makes a 60-90 degrees dive at a constant speed of 560 to 600 km/h (350-370 mph) to provide maximum accuracy. When the bomber is at a prespecified altitude, a light switches on to indicate to the pilot that he has to release the bomb. Upon doing so, the bomb is released and the plane automatically manoeuvres into a recovery flight. As soon as the nose tip is above the horizon, the dive brakes are automatically released and the throttle is automatically opened. As soon as the pilot regains consciousness and can take over control again, he resumes normal flight.

The J19 is a plane that can be used as an interceptor, reconnaissance plane, bomber escort, day-, night- and all-weather-fighter, fighter-bomber and ground-attack aircraft. The maximum speed is 520 km/h / 320 mph / 280 knots at sea level to 640 km/h / 400 mph / 350 knots at 6.3 km / 20,669 ft altitude. Its service ceiling is 12 km / 39370 ft. It is equipped with two 13 mm / 0.51 inch machine guns, two 20 mm / 0.78 inch underwing cannons, and a 20 mm / 0.78 inch centreline cannon.

Darner Flugzeugwerke produces more planes than shown here. More information will be added during time.
