• On the non-recognition of the Interim Government by the Tarusan Empire and Foreign Policy.

The Office of the Chancellorship presided by Interim Chancellor Ludwig Bohmer expresses surprise and deep concern over the recent statements of the Foreign Office of the Tarusan Empire, concerning the non-recognition of the Republic of Ostmark and the undergoing process of democratization.

The Republic of Ostmark longs to establish warm and friendly diplomatic relations with all the Nations of Europe that respect Ostmark's integrity and sovereignty, and to repair all diplomatic relations with those nations long considered as "enemies" by the now defunct National-Syndicalist regime.

As a sign of good-will and to further reiterate the Republic's desire for world peace and international cooperation, this Office revokes the expulsion of the diplomatic corp of the Nation of @Touzen , formerly known as the Anti-State, and officially expresses its intent to resume normal diplomatic channels, thus reverting the hostile policies enacted by the now defunct National-Syndicalist regime.

To the Attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Collectivist Archipelago of Saint Jopseh,

It has come to our attention that His Excellency the President, Herr Ioseph Konstantinos, has recently addressed the issue of homelessness in the Collectivist Archipelago of Saint Joseph. The Government of the Republic of Ostmark, presided by Chancellor Walter Eidman, expresses sympathy and support for the endeavour of the Government of @Josepania to guarantee a shelter to all homeless citizens currently affected by the housing crisis.

In the past years Ostmark had found itself in a very similar situation and has managed to overcome the plague of homelessness by approving the construction of new residential areas where dozens of pre-fabricated flats are currently standing, and as of today provide affordable homes for thousands of Ostmarkian families. The projects have been proven successful also thanks to the construction of satellite-facilities such as public parks, schools, sport-related facilities, police stations, clinics, recreational areas thus preventing the rise of socially dangerous phenomena such as gang-related crime and drug dealing.

The Government of the Republic of Ostmark would like to submit its projects to His Excellency the President, and offer the expertise of Ostmarkian architects, engineers and urban planners, to assist President Konstantinos in his noble mission. We strongly believe that prosperity and equality must also come from international cooperation, from mutual respect and assistance, and coexistence, in the name of global progress and the common good.

Ostmark is not a rich country and there is little we can offer in terms of resources and funds, but we didn't forget the darkest pages of our history and the immense suffering endured by our people in the past years. For this reason, and to show Europe that Ostmark, Germania's poorest country, will not turn a blind eye infront the suffering of the poor, the offer to send our expert architects, engineers and urban planners, is completely free of charge.

The Republic of Ostmark is perfectly aware of the current geopolitical balances and tensions and it is for this reason that my administration has decided to approach the Tarusan Tsardom in an attempt to ease up recent hostilities and ongoing escalations. I firmly believe our countries, the Republic of Ostmark and the Kingdom of Eiffelland, currently stand as bullwarks of stability and democracy in a region that seems to be doomed to a fate of sectarianism, ethnic and nationalistic strife that are unfortunately escalating into armed violence, state coups and military engagements.

It is not in my plans to entangle my nation in trade agreements with the Tarusan Empire, nor i will allow Ostmark to become dependent on Tarusan resources considering, as you have wisely stated, that Ostmark is already almost entirely dependent on Tarusa when it comes to the delivery of natural gas.

Instead, i will approach my Tarusan counterpart in order to reach some sort of low-level agreements in terms of trade tariffs and less-overburding bureaucracy. In all cases, the Kingdom of Eiffelland will continue to be Ostmark's major economic and political partners, and my administration will continue to work closely with yours to find common solutions and strategies to guarantee and protect peace, democracy and freedom in our respective countries.

I am most delighted to receive your letter, and I extend my heartfelt appreciation for the aspirational spirit in which it is written. Prior generations of politicians would have considered the possibility of this exchange remote, yet now it has come to pass that a Touzen and an Ostmarker are exchanging cordial words of rapprochement.

The significant transformation Ostmark has undergone over the past years has not been ignored in Shinkyou. Your proposal to officially reopen the Ostmarkian embassy in the Anti-State is both magnanimous and enthusiastically endorsed by me on behalf of the people of the Anti-State. I likewise wish to announce my intention to reciprocate and once again appoint an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Vienna to serve as the official representative of our government to the Ostmarkian people. With the appointment of Prime Minister Bakhmeteff, one of his first orders of business will be getting the Tarusan Empire back to business as usual, or we should say business as better than usual. The Republic of Ostmark and the Empire have had a history for generations that has had its ups and its downs, and under Konstantins rule he would like to thank the Republic for its position in the Tarusan affairs and its staunch neutrality and the support he has had unspokenly received since coming to power and the changes he seeks to make for the nation and the direction he wishes to guide it.

As such, it is in the interest of neighborly relations, and a look to the future, that Prime Minister Bakhmeteff would like to visit Wien in the coming weeks and discuss taking relations from a mere normality to something stronger as neighbors should have. Business as usual at the border should not mean in the future what it has in the past. One of the many topics of discussion might come as a reprieve for the Ostmarkian people, as during the civil war one of the few outlets of Tarusan oil was into the Republic via the pipelines, leaving an abundance that began to be stored, straining storage capacity and even leading to small amounts being burned off. While it was a source of revenue for Ivan, it was none-the-less keeping a lifeline for the people of Tarusa flowing, and as such perhaps Wien and the Republic would find themselves on the initial offering of even lower fuel prices as we must begin to unload some of the vast stores of oil to relieve some storage capacity.
