Conhoi, Minhdao

The bright and vibrant city of Conhoi is situated to the northwest of Minhdao and is one of the largest locations within the closed dictatorship to border Taishan. Lately, there has been a large military presence within the city - more than usual that is - with little to no information to the public as to why that is. The Pháp cung điện or "Dharma Palace" was one of the largest standing buildings dedicated to Buddhism in the country and in the world. But since the Chuthe takeover in the old days, Sr. General Hien Suu Khan and the entire Chuthe panel have been using it for meetings that were to remain quiet and of the upmost importance.
On this particular day, General Khan and a few of the other Chuthe memebers who didn't remain in Diengam were coming to the Dharma Palace to meet Major-General Anchaly Pokuean, Minister of External Affairs for the Council for Democracy and Justice and the unmistakable leader of South Ratomkira. Having a national system much like Minhdaos', this meeting was the most anticipated for Gen. Khan for many months now. The Palace was well decorated, and though there were to be no outsiders or reporters within the Palace, both the Minhdese and what Khan called the "true Ratomkiran flag" were both suspended on each side of the long jaded hall leading to a large room of meditation and concentration which were now furnished with only the finest of Minh furniture ready for this meeting of the decade.

Like his Minhdese counterpart Major-General Anchaly Pokeuan was anxiously awaiting this meeting for quite some time now. He knew that this meeting, or more specifically what would be produced from this meeting, might be able to change the way the war was going back home. It had been difficult to arrange this meeting, Ratomkira's big brother Oikawa not being to found of the South dealing with non LFS states. Especially if it regarded military matters. Today, unlike the other 'diplomatic' days when Oikawa either had a representative listening in or a recording tape carefully transmitting everything to Nokanawa, Oikawa would not know what has been said or even realise that there was a meeting in the first place. It wasn't that the Council for Democracy and Justice wanted to turn its back to its largest donor, but for certain things one could go only to the militarist regime in Diengan. There had been plenty of meetings between the two nations even before the military take-over in january, but the Minhdese support for the coup only strengthened the ties between the two nations. Without a doubt the friendship was stronger then it had ever been.

Deeply impressed by his surroundings the Major-General, proudly wearing his highly decorated military uniform, approached the, in his eyes at least, beautiful building. Knowing Minhdao's strong military tradition he started the meeting of with a very disciplined salute while allowing his small entourage besides him to bow before Hien Suu Khan.

Standing in the halls with each of their respective entourages surrounding them, the leader of Minhdao had finally come face to face with South Ratomkira's Major-General. It was a surprise that no meeting had previously been developed in the past considering Minhdao's stance on which Ratomkira is the true Ratomkira. Needless to say, nothing would please General Khan more than to have communism exterminated across Toyou and Serindia - hell - even around the world. But sometimes its best to play nice until the right moment comes around. With General Khan was the Director of the infamous Dai Ly Police Gen. Than Nguyen, The Grand Admiral of the Minh Naval Forces Col. Hoai Lien, the Minister of Industrial Development General Tran Dung and of course, General Khan's right-hand-man and Foreign Minister Gen. Li Loi Duyet. All pleased to meet the Major-General coming from abroad, they too bowed respectively. All but Khan of course, who saluted back to his counterpart.

"Welcome to Minhdao Major-General." Khan uttered with a wrinkled smile upon his face. "I trust your trip here was smooth and undetected by the powers that be." Referring to Nokanawa indirectly. After the introductions were completed between the small group, they all began to move slowly down the long jade hallway towards the sitting area. Khan and Pokeuan walked side-by-side and seemed to be enjoying one another's company so far. Khan then stopped and the remainder of the group did so afterwards. He called down the other hall to the left "Mang Các Giải khát!" A mere seconds after calling these words, a boy came out of a different room - well dressed and balancing a tray of refreshments. This was a signature move for Khan. For those who know him well know that he's a bit of a drunk. Trying not to spill the tray, the boy arrived. Khan took two glasses, one for himself and one for his guest. The others were able to help themselves respectively. "Now then, please, join me and have a seat."

Anchaly Pokeuan was deeply impressed by his surroundings. It's not that he wasn't used to luxury, but this was something else. "I should take you boy back to Ratomkira, my friend. He'd make a better servant then the Lanxangese I got working under me.", he said mockingly referring to the boy who had just brought in the drinks. Like most member of the Council for Democracy and Justice the Major General was a Kambudjan, the largest and until the communist secession most powerful ethnic group of the psuedo-nation. Although the military regime in Siem Khun had a policy to create a 'Ratomkiran identity' in order to promote national unity, in reality only people of mixed heritage called themselves Ratomkirans. This had several reasons, most prominently people like Pokeuan who profiled themselves as nationalist Kambudjans.

The Major General wasn't much of a drinker, but in order to impress his counterpart he drank his entire glass in one quick move. While signalling the boy for a refill Pokeuan looked toward General Khan and decided to get straight to the point.

"You are without a doubt being kept up-to-date about the situation in my fatherland. Then you also know the reason why we can't achieve any significant victories. The jungle... It has come to the attention of the Council for Democracy and Justice that your fine nation has ways of subduing such a problem."

General Khan smiled and waved the boy away. With a glimmer of fear in his eyes, the thirteen year old went away briskly without spilling the tray. His life basically depended on it. "I like your atttitude Mr. Pokeuan." he complimented his counterpart on his up-forward way. Most diplomats would beat around the bush or "pussy-foot-around" as Khan often put it. Placing his arm around the Major-General, he directed him to two seats on each side of a massive stone fire place with a large picture of The Buddha over it. Both national leaders got the plush seats as their respective entourages got the smaller versions lined up besides their leaders. "We have indeed heard of your significant troubles across the pond. Communism is one hell of a disease - believe me. We have some here in Serindia as well." He sipped his glass and took his breath.

He leaned in to Pokeuan. "I will share a secret with you. We have had many communist and leftist protestation in the past when we, the Chuthe, came to power. Now, it is relatively unseen and unheard of in most parts. And that's because of one asset. This asset, Mr. Pokeuan, can most-likely resolves your jungle woes." Khan looked to Gen. Than Nguyen and uttered "Nhận được đồ án" to which Nguyen proceeded to withdrawing a leather briefcase from beneath his seat. He opened it and walked over to Pokeuan - placing rolled blueprints in his hands. he then sat back down and began to speak: "What our Dear High Chairman speaks of Mr. Pokeuan, is chemical warfare. These are some blueprints of what Minhdao's weapons manufacturers are coming up with these days. This could very well be of some use to your nation."
