Based on Coro's drawing of my borders in the current version of the map, I made an elevation map of Eiffelland. This is version 0.1.

I also added some cities; more to come. Please do not add those cities to the map; I will come with a list of important cities later on.

I created a swampy area in my Northwest around that big lake that Coro created there. An option is, that that swamp area continues in Petis-Pays, but @Petits-Pays what is your thought?

There is one lake in my North that is not fed by a river. I could drag a river there, and that river could drain towards that sea arm completely in the North. @Salen what is your thought?

For the mountaineous area in the South, I added it, because we need to explain why that gigantic lake (or is it an inner sea, complete with salt, like the IRL Caspian Sea?) is located on my southern border. It needs water from somewhere. I know about people who wanted the mountaineous areas to be drawn into the world map, but I never heard anything about again. Therefore, I took the initiative. @Zhola @Kurkhazia what are your thoughts? By the way, is it already known who will border me and Galea in my Southsouthwest and Galea's West?

I agree Eiffel. The river could be our natural border. Also, I would like to draw up a smaller mountain range like there is in Belgium-Luxemburg and Germany. So basically the Ardennes-Eifel that also would form another natural border. Highest point would be exactly 700 metres. Is that something that fits your idea of your geographical lay-out there in the north-west? If so, you may want elevate the terrain a bit in that area?

Let me think ...

Is this your current mapspot:

You're placing me before a couple of serious geological challenges. Why does a river float like it floats?

What about version 0.2:

EDIT: That city close to your border will be Aachen. Or in Ripuarian dialect: Oche. But I will have some more challenges. How will I be able to explain that the Kölner say "Paraplu" instead of "Regenschirm"? Maybe because the people in Sachsen-Holstein say "Paraplu" as well?

I misunderstood you. I thought the river was flowing further north - i.e. downwards - to that smaller bight in the Gothic Sea, basically your most northwestern mainland tip (left below your island in the Gothic Sea). Having that river flowing westward, towards that larger sea arm, would indeed pose a challenge if I am having hills or a low mountain range in that area...

It seems ok so far! At the moment since I haven’t drawn the “official” borders, I wouldn’t get too heavy with the lines. One must remember that the rough sketch map I drew for us was drawn with a pencil and things might marginally change when I start doing it with a mouse. Not for any real reason other than if I try to get every little pixel right from a pencil drawing it will take my much much longer to get the map published. — Otherwise I’ve been leaning to referring to my Germans as Sachsen-Polaben, but perhaps even that is up in the air still hahaha

Thanks for the confirmation that it is fine :) When the official map is there, I will see that I incorporate the official borders in my map.

That's what with official borders etc it will be easier to get a better picture of how things will look. I believe coro will make things very nice as always. I myself haven't given much thought to the landscape or much beyond without having something official to go by and trying to incorporate matching with the neighbors so it's more cohesive
