6 months completed! 6 months left! The conscripts have been doing great so far, that’s the way it’s been for all branches of the armed forces at all the locations. The conscripts in this photo are undergoing their military training at The 2nd Platoon, 1st EW Company, part of the 1st Mechanized Brigade (P1-Danstadt).

2023-2024, 12,000 19-year olds were called to the military. 12 months later, 200 had become full-time military personnel along with the already existing force of 50,000 active duty personnel, 500 joined the Home-Guard as part-time military personnel alongside their studies or their jobs, joining 20,000 who’ve done the same. 1,200 joined the reserves meaning that they are not soldiers but they take part in most large scale military exercises every year as training. There are 30,000 reserves. The rest decided to continue studying or working and were therefore added to the “trained citizens-list”. 11,000 conscripts are doing their military training 2024-2025.

Shocking images from Hamrun and Noria as Storm Berenguer has hit the Meridian Archipelago. The Lvant Island in Hamrun and central and southern Noria have been heavily hit by floods, with towns and fields damaged, people missing and infrastructure and goods destroyed. About 20,000 people have already reported that they had to leave their homes to escape the fury of the storm, while the current casualty rate stands at 25 people dead and wounded. The authorities are intervening to look for missing persons and to offer aid to the victims.​

20,000 flight hours! The Istav Air-Force C-123H Provider #842 is the 3rd out of 12 Sylvanian made C-123 Transport and Tanker aircraft that the Istav Air-Force purchased between 1965 and 1972. #71 and #845 have both been taken out of service and the 1970s #842 is now the oldest still in service and has just reached 20,000 flight hours and these aircraft have been well maintained and they have been a pillar of the Air-Force and will continue to be! We work around the clock to defend Istavania!
