MFI'S 54th FILM AWARDS

Join us for the 54th Annual MFI Film Awards. The MFI board will be the judges as per normal.

Entries must be films fully released between November 21st 2008 and November 23rd 2009*.



We will be taking an entry from each nation for one of the following categories:

Best Picture
(Include synopsis, leading actors, director, and date of release)

Best Director
(Include film title, 2-3 sentence overview of film (Max is 3 sentences), date of film release)

Best Actor
(Include film title, overview of role, date of film release)

Best Actress
(Include film title, overview of role, date of film release)

Best Supporting Actor or Actress
(Include film title, overview of role, date of film release)

Best Documentary
(Include synopsis, leading actors/narrators, director, and date of release)

Best Screenplay
(Include film title, overview of film, date of film release)

Best Original Song
(Include film title, artist(s), date of film release)

Best Score
(Include film title, date of film release)


Best Restored Picture
(Include brief synopsis, leading actors, director, restoration team, restoration release, and original date of release)

The story of Empress Josephine is retold in a modern setting of a middle aged woman struggling to keep her upper middle class status. She finally marries a prominent and ruthless attorney whom she does not particularly like. Lachens makes a mediocre film into a good film.

With superb dialogue and scenery, Mountain Snow is a classic for the ages.
