PM HORTEFEUX: ENERGY COSTS WILL COME DOWN SOON
The PM's Office announces positive developments will be made public soon
PROPONTIS | Speaking to reporters accompanying the Serenien delegation to its historic visit to Propontis, Prime Minister Hortefeux has announced that the diplomatic discussions with his counterpart in Pelasgia have proceeded in a mutually beneficial manner and once the respective governments finalized the details, the public would be made aware. However, he rallied the Serenien people by assuring them that the cost of petrol and natural gas is expected to come down fairly soon.
Though criticised as being cryptic, the Prime Minister's comments have been welcomed by the stock markets which have bounded considerably at the prospect of lower energy costs and enhanced economic cooperation with the energy powerhouse that is Pelasgia.
At the day's proceedings in the Parlement, a number of Liberal and Social Democratic deputies approved of the current government's efforts to bring the cost of energy products down. It was especially apparent to the reporters present at the legislature that the ruling coalition is at pains to correct the impression that cracks have formed between the President and Prime Minister. However, the Labour Solidarity League, along with its allies the Popular Democratic Alliance, and the National Labour Movement have criticised the Government's inability to come up with policies designed to benefit the average citizen, claiming that the lower energy costs will only help the industrialists and corporations.
