Would COURTS become a vehicle for restricting access to nuclear energy to developing world countries, using the pretext of "they're trying to build nuclear weapons!"? Asking for a friend.

I had some thoughts about this with @Elfríki that I wanted to elaborate on here.
If we were to have this become an organization immediately post-Great War, there would inevitably be some UN shenanigans depending on who had bombs. Right now I think we've determined that the Elfriki Federation and Józefania had bombs alongside @Eiffelland. Perhaps also the Empire of @Averin and Montelimar because they have deposits, so @Bourgardie could chime in here. And of course the @CCCR. Other folk who conceivably could have had nukes should note potential proliferation here.
Otherwise I don't wish speak for any other nuclear powers, but having Józefania involved from the outside is probably one that starts tough because of war reasons, given the whole Mezhists and then Mazovists era, but the restored monarchy could perhaps weasel its way in French Talleyrand post-Napoleonic Wars-style, which could provide some initial controversy.
There's also the CCCR if they want to sign a no nukes treaty, which would also provide for some fun historical controversy.
What was also mused upon by Zalo was if this whole organization started out as a regulatory body, and it was slowly hijacked it over the decades to become an OPEC cartel. So in the modern day it's technically still an anti-nuke body, but it has extra cartel functions added over time. Right now, it's definitely more of a cartel with a veneer of regulation.
These are all SUPER draft thoughts that need way more elaboration, but I want others to have their own musings, and feel free to push back on any of this and offer different proposals.
Late to the party. SB stayed neutral during the war and acted as a useful conduit of goods and people (spies, refugees, diplomats). Perhaps had a small nuclear weapons research programme due to the uranium deposits but quickly gave that up. I still need to flesh out my own history but perhaps among the chaos of the war, SB used that as an opportunity to fully occupy the Goudkust, which until then had been the fiefdom of a private trading company with royal decree, the Suid Himyaarsche Handelsmaatskappy (Southern Himyari Trading Company).
Great question! As I just posted in Oneida's immigration history thread, I think it would be cool if there was an SB colony or two in North Occidentia from the 15 to 1600s. They were not necessarily crown lands, could have rather been private property of the trading company. It would be separate to the SHHM. Let's call it the Nuwe Wêreld Handelsmaatskappy (New World Trading Company - NWHM). They would have cooperated with the SHHM on the slave trade. I see an island in the south of Oneida with sugar, northwest of Il Caribe. That spot would make the most sense. Maybe it has a Curaçao vibe today, still some Baais speakers and colonial architecture, but lost in a war or sold quite some time ago? @CCCRWould the SHHM have been involved in the New World/West Nandies? Or would SB have had a separate company for that?
InYou must be registered for see linksit was established that by the very least side A involves Eiffelland and Józefania and side B apparently at least Elfriki and Serbovia.
But yeah, the broader who fought who still needs to be figured out.
My conflict seems to have been a war against Montélimar, and if there is any involvement, it is because Montélimar and Bourgardie had alliances tied to the other combatants, but the primary battles should be on my western front in theory.Beyond this I've lost track of the sides of the war lol. I think @Bourgardie was also involved but not sure.
Yeah, I think it's a good idea for each of us to like, lay out a list of who we were with, and who we were opposing, if any. To at least help smoothen things out.
On my end, while I don't recall any solid actual alliances, there was definitely a lot of co-bellegierence against Mazovist @Józefania . On that list would be @Ebria , @Eiffelland (I think?) and @Serbovia .
In my internal RP, I have this timed to be roughly around the Third (and final) Archipelago War - so my estimation is that Pelasgia could have (yet again) gone to war against Catholic maritime powers to finally secure controls of the waters near it, while the hostile powers tried to forcibly open the straits (like RL Gallipolli) and failed. The war would have devastated the Archipelago islands and coastal regions, but the Pelasgians ultimately came out on the side of the winners (though the losses were so grave their whole political system collapsed, ushering in the parliamentary period).
They tried to capitalize on their losses to secure additional territory, but this proved fruitless; instead, they were allowed to directly annex the patchwork of client states through which Pelasgia had come to unofficially reclaim the area from the Catholic powers in the Second Archipelago War (back in the 19th century).
Any takers for this scenario? (God I miss Radilo sometimes.)
