Twåtter is a social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as twåts. Twåts are text-based posts displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers. The idea was invented in Suionia in the early 90's as a means for the Suionian Self-Defense Forces to communicate actively with their families. It was later noted that sensitive information was often made public (leaked) when soldiers twåt'd all day and thus the program was canceled and sold to an aspiring university student in the early 2000's. The student, Lars Ericsson who later dropped out of university founding his billion kronor company Twåtter now proclaims it as one of the most important online networks in the world hosting regular people to important high profile celebrities and politicians. Twåtter is headquartered in Umeå, Suionia.
