Political and social environment: 67
Furlanìe is politically stable, with two main parties different but open to pragmatic cooperation, the score is considerably lowered by the known soft interventions of the Grand Ducal crown, supported by the military, in political matters; crime is fairly low thanks to a competent and pervasive police presence and an efficient judiciary.
Economic environment: 89
Economic freedom is highly respected by the government, which often intervenes in support of the larger economic entities of Furlanìe in foreign countries, it is an heritage from the once independent Free City of Tergest trade history, and now vibrant economic center of Furlanìe.

Socio-cultural environment: 45
Although the government does not intervene with force, minorities are not recognised in any way, and the society is generally anchored to tradition and topics as LGBT rights and gender equality are avoided and usually censored from the political debate by the Vuaite party and the crown.

Medical and health considerations: 87
The government provides a good health system for its citizens; there is an extremely organised recycling system; air pollution is low in the less populated and rural hinterland, but slightly higher on the cramped and industrialised coast of the mainland, nevertheless the water is kept clean and under control and the winds coming from the Reman sea help disperse air pollution.

Schools and education: 94
Work-oriented public schools offer an excellent preparation for the labour market while also supporting cultural activities and community-building; private schools offer a more artistic and philosophical education, and are generally affordable to most of the lower income citizens, with a wide number of public-funded scholarships and many crown-funded as well.

Public services and transportation: 91
The transportation system is excellent, a well-oiled, efficient machine, with a strong cooperation and dialogue between infrastructure maintenance and public transportation; Traffic is not much of a problem thanks to a well-organized net of roads that disperse the heavy traffic around the highly populated coastline, and the great use of naval-transportation.

Recreation: 82
Friuli is full of historical Frankish monuments and Tiburan structures and ruins; pubs and restaurants can be found in every district and village and usually offer local products, made with locally-crown food; sport activities and events are often supported by crown and the military, cinemas and theatres can be found in most cities and towns, competing with churches in number.

Consumer goods: 80
The "poor" Friulian cuisine requires few ingredients that are found all around the land, cars and most other land-transport vehicles are bought from Eiffelland or Lars.
Housing: 78
With the exception of areas like Grau or Tergest, housing is fairly affordable, most appliances and items are bought from local producers, with foreign more sophisticated products bought from the higher classes.
Natural environment: 74
Although most of the land is used for agriculture, there are a few parks, and the rural area is clean and certainly charming, and the oversea territories of the Free City of Tergest are a particularly loved destination by Friulians.

Index score: 787

  • Political and social environment 78.
The Republic is considered to be stable with manageable crime rates and an established society.
  • Economic environment 64
The economic environment is a reflection of the struggling Maduran economy. However, the Maduran economy is largely based on free trade and capitalism.
  • Socio-cultural environment 81
Speech and media are extremely free and personal freedoms are not directly limited. However, Madurja lags behind in women's and gay rights.

  • Medical and health considerations 70
Healthcare remains widely available and general sanitation is of slightly higer than average quality. Medical care is of average or high quality depending on region.

  • Schools and education 71
While university education remains of quite high quality, primary education has suffered form staffing and funding cuts. Standards have also lacked behind other nations. New reforms have improved education. Yet, Madurja remains behind several regional neighbors. Literacy is near 100%
  • Public services and transportation 63
Public services is something of a 'mixed bag'. 99.9% of the population have access to clean water and electricity . Public transport is off pace in terms of development in many smaller cities and the national rail network is not well developed. Traffic congestion remains an issue in Redondo.
  • Recreation 92
Madurja is home to a thriving leisure scene with many tourists flocking to its beaches and resorts. Madurja has a healthy sport culture with football/soccer, basketball, rugby, and fencing popular. Culturally, the theater scene has thrived since the 1960's and the food scene has exploded since 2000.
  • Consumer goods 83
Food and consumer items are readily available throughout the country. While in rural areas the offerings are generally less in terms of diversity, they are nonetheless available.
  • Housing 67
A housing shortage has existed since the late 1990's despite government efforts to lessen the deficit. Household appliances, furniture, and services are readily available.
  • Natural environment 85
Madurja takes its role in environmental protection generally seriously. Natural disaster prevention is mixed in terms of preparedness. Environmental laws are strict with strict penalties.

Political and Social Environment: 65
Auraria is generally considered to be politically unstable in the sense that the minority government currently only controls 38% of the National Legislature and relies on a tedious balancing act from allied parties to retain the government. The Legislature, overall, is fragmented and Aurarian political opinions are diverse. Not to mention there are several entities within the country that are seeking greater autonomy or even full independence. Auraria’s 2016 transition to a federal system has alleviated some tension but added unforeseen problems in its government structure.

Crime rates, beyond the ever frequent petty theft of pickpockets in major cities, is manageable and supported by a preventative/rehabilitative criminal justice system.

Economic Environment: 70
Auraria’s economic outlook remains fairly positive and optimistic, even if growth has consistently been slower than even the Government’s conservative estimates. Since the Restoration in 2016, the focus of the Government has been to restore confidence and stability within the economic sector as opposed to rapid growth. Nevertheless, the economy remains sluggish.

In some more rural areas of the country, commune councils have opted to support local businesses through generous tax incentives or straight up gifts in order to alleviate economic strains on small business owners and maintain rural communities’ quality of life. However, these economic strains seem to not have strongly impeded Auraria’s entertainment and vice markets, which remain profitable and abundant.

Socio-Cultural Environment: 85
Freedom of Speech, Press, Expression, and a general fierce support of individual liberties have long been a facet of Aurarian political thought even through the Caudillo Regime. As a result, the rights of people and protections for minority groups are staunchly protected and Auraria maintains an open-minded, liberal society that is welcoming of diversity.

Nevertheless, it can be difficult for immigrants to successfully integrate into Aurarian Society given the emphasis placed on preserving and celebrating Auraria’s cultural identity. Other cultures are not normally shamed or ostracized, but the feeling of “otherness” is nearly impossible to shake.

Medical and Health Considerations: 85
Medical care is considered a human right by the Aurarian Constitution and is guaranteed to all citizens with no cost. Medical facilities in Auraria, at least around the cities, are of high quality, highly regulated, and efficient. Since the interior of Auraria is sparsely populated, access to health care in rural areas can present significant challenges. It is not uncommon for patients to request or doctors to prescribe tests that are not truly necessary since the cost is not incurred by either. As a result, long wait lists for certain procedures can be common causing medical professionals to make - at times - controversial triage decisions.

In addition to physical care, Auraria has made strides in reclassifying addiction as a medical - not criminal - disorder and improving access to mental health care options.

Schools and Education: 85
In addition to health care, education in Auraria is seen as one of the things the country has “gotten right.” Auraria has several proud, old institutions of higher education that date their founding to back before Catamarca and Tauritania even united. Primary education remains compulsory and secular with religious schools being banned unless attended in conjunction with state-funded primary education.

The Caudillo Regime placed less of an emphasis on education and as a result, an entire generation has suffered from a gap in Auraria’s educational programs. The primary concerns are increasing university attendance, reforming education guidelines in the new federal system, and improving rural education.

Public Service and Transportation: 80
There is an old joke that the train schedules in Auraria are mere “guidelines not to be taken too seriously.” The country’s major cities are equipped with robust public transportation and railways connect significant portions of the country. Two international airports in Solis and Tauritania service international flights with regional airports dotting around the country. Highways are well maintained, but Aurarians don’t travel often and when they do the rail is the preferred option. Despite its popularity, trains in Auraria - no matter where you are - are notorious for never following schedules: sometimes arriving 5 minutes early, 14min late, etc.

Public Services are very well maintained in coastal and urban areas with 99.9% of the population having access to clean water and electricity. Some rural areas of the country are serviced by wells and can be difficult to access in periods of in climate weather as well as spotty internet connections, at best.

Recreation: 90
In a bitter rivalry as old as time, Aurarians pride themselves as being the most fun place in Europe. Internationally known for its libertine lifestyles, mid-day breaks from work for a siesta, vibrant nightlife, wide array of alcohol, and a stunning commitment to relaxation and enjoying life’s simple pleasures: Auraria has consistently remained one of the most vacation-able countries in Europe. Restaurants and bars are the most popular social gathering places and the variety is extensive.

Lax law enforcement, while bringing its own burdens, usually means you can get away with being sloppier than usual on weekends.

Consumer Goods: 80
Food and consumers items are readily available in any part of the country. While rural areas have less in terms of diversity and can experience much longer wait times for delivery of online shopping items, it is nevertheless available and an option.

Housing: 68
While modern appliances and comforts are readily available, the houses themselves are not. Auraria’s small villages often suffer from younger generations moving to the bigger cities for more opportunities, leaving properties vacant and significant aging (thus less working) populations in rural areas. The cities, in turn, see gentrification rise at steady rates, forcing the poor out of their homes and driving up housing costs so much that they are difficult to afford. Apartments in the downtowns of Solis or Tauritania are usually small and very experience. Overall, cost and the general overestimation of job availability makes entry to cities difficult.

Natural Environment: 85
Seeing that tourism is a large part of the Aurarian economy, the government has often invested in preserving the country’s natural beauty. Environmental laws are strict and readily enforced. Still, the growing size of cities does cause environmental concerns with congestion and waste.

The Continental Empire of Justosia
Information provided in conjunction with the imperial government & Avalon University.

Political and social environment:

90

The current scene of this facet in the empire is relatively calm. A Second Imperial Senate was just elected. This mostly quelled the public agnst over the 50/50 split of the first. The ruling Nationalist Right Bloc prizes law & order highly (like any nationalist does IRL). Funds have always been readily available for police, state security services, etc. There will always be trouble makers, especially since being a Socialist/Communist is now legal across the lands, but that angst isn't permanent.

Economic environment:
80

Banks have funds readily available for lending, the related. Their general condition is pretty stable. There is usually not an issue with currency exchanges unless there is to be an abrupt about face in Justosia's relation with the nation of said currency. Other economic indicators are generally average or moderately in upswing.

Socio-cultural environment:
90

Media/general press censorship generally doesn't exist in the empire. Yes. Once upon a time it did. This was during now bygone, isolated days. Days without geo political & image savy politicians who know the aforementioned is political & international image suicide. IHN has competitors. They're just simply out spent & out hired. The right to freedom of speech, press, assembly, is pretty prevailing. Unless one is actually espousing treasonous sentiments, violent sentiments, etc.

Medical and health considerations:
70

In the major cities hospitals, medical supplies/attention, public health standards like waste removal, sewage treatment, etc is pretty good. They receive most of the government funding. This is somewhat lacking in rural towns across the empire. Simply because there aren't as many people. The government tries to lean on private contractors to pick up the slack here.

Schools and education:
50

School system in the major cities receive the majority of government funding. Simply for having vastly more students to tend to. Inspections standards are lax in the rural parts of the empire. Hence Annabella's addressing it in her maiden address. There are currently no international universities or schools in Justosia.

Public services and transportation:
60

Justosia is no longer a second world nation. Standards of living like health, electricity, water, etc are usually readily available in virtually every part of the empire. Traffic congestion during rush hour in the major cities however is bad. The national transportation system is in need of update.

Recreation:
50

Movie theaters & general recreational activities are prevalent in the major cities. Not really in some of quiet, small town Justosia.

Consumer goods:
80

Food, general household items, convenience items are readily available across most the empire, except for the small, small towns. Food available there of course, but they're slower to recieve the rest often.

Housing:
70

Readily available in most cities & towns.

Natural environment:
60

The First Imperial Senate was split 50/50 between right & left. As such, to sometimes placate the Social Democratic Union on passage of greater legislation, more environmental packages were passed & ascended by the crown than at any time in recent memory. Pollution is of course worse in the cities. Urban Justosian are very used to this. In regards to international tourism, the government points to the tropical splendor of its smaller coastal areas first.

Political and Social Environment: 77
Beira is a democratic republic with a two hundred year tradition that was interrupted by a single authoritarian episode in the 60s and 70s. It is considered a free society whose political life is traditionally dominated by six political parties, put together in two blocs, the National Democratic Party, the Popular Party and the Liberal Initiative forming the centre-right bloc and the Socialist Party, the United Party of the South and the Green Party forming the centre-left bloc. Usually either of those alliances form the government as not even the main parties, the Socialists or the National Democrats ever manage to get 50% of the votes to form the government by themselves. The score is brought down though by the emergence of a 7th big political party, the National Union, a far right party and their growing popularity even if they openly commend the dictatorship years, shows that there is a growing anti-liberal-democracy trend in Beira,

Economic Environment: 70
The economic outlook is relatively positive, even if the nation did go in the past decade through an episode of stagnation. Besides a series of companies that the government does see as "Critical in relation to National Defence", most of the economy is privately owned and free to function. While the Escudo is allowed to float freely, the National Bank does keep an eye on the exchange rates so that there won't be any speculative attacks on it.

While in the cities one can live for months on end without needing to use cash as the payment by card can be used nearly everywhere, in the villages one can barely find any bank or ATM at all, and payments like allowances and pensions are still being handed out by the postman.

Socio-Cultural Environment: 70
Free speech and free press are thoroughly observed and their defence is imbued in the constitution. Many newspapers and TV stations who are quite critical of the government do operate freely with no issue and besides the national ones, there are local stations that operate in Aurarian, Friulan, German, Montedoran, Faro and Caboes too. Recently there has been a strong development of the entertainment industry of Beira with many telenovelas produced locally being broadcast in neighbouring countries too.

While there is no law against blasphemy, the society is quite conservative and frowns upon mockery or attacks against the Church. Homosexuality, while decriminalised, is still frowned upon and public displays of affection aren't really seen with keen eyes. While there has been a trend of relaxation of such norms and a liberalisation of the people's mentality, the rise in popularity of the National Union and their open calls to censor what they see as blasphemous or non-Beiran does raise some concerns.

Medical and Health Considerations: 80
Beira respects the human right to healthcare, as taxpaying entails a form of basic health insurance, and most if not all workers and Trade Union members (over 70% of the nations' working class) have a form of state sponsored health insurance.

While the cities have a series of private hospitals of premium quality, the state is pouring a lot of money into keeping the health care system in the rural zones very good too.

Schools and Education: 80
The Constitution of the Republic declares that all schooling up to the 12th grade is to be compulsory and free. School infrastructure varies greatly, with schools in Ribamar, Setubal, Carmona, having state of the art equipment and classes of 15 students, to schools in the rural areas which might have as many as 35 students in a single class. The Beiran schooling system, offers free tuition for the top third best students, from undergrad to PhD. This creates competition at its premier universities, the Catholic University in Sao Felix, the National University and the Polytechnic Institute, both in Ribamar, being extremely tough.

Public Service and Transportation: 70
During the 19th century, railway transportation developed so much that Beira had one of the world's densest networks. In the 50s and 60s many lines were closed down, as they were seen as unprofitable. Currently, the train still is the most used form of transportation, with Caminhos de Ferro operating on a network of 20,000km long. Highways started to be constructed only in the early 2000s, and still remain quite rare, with the main one connecting Ribamar to Setubal and another small corridor from Sao Felix to Vales.

Public transport is developed in bigger cities, with Ribamar and Setubal having subway systems. Tramway, Buss and Trolleybus systems are present in many cities of the country.

With the exception of the most isolated communities in the rural ares, most of the settlements in Beira have access to electricity and water, even though the quality of the tap water has been described by many as sub-par.

Recreation: 85
Beira is a probably the biggest producer of Gallian Telenovellas, with the state owned RTB Group sponsoring the creation of many of such television programs, which end up exported to Auraria, Vaquero, Friuli, Lars, Friuli, Madurja and even generate spin offs in those countries. The country hosts the Oscar Carmona International Movie Festival every spring. Sports wise, football is the most popular sport with an extremely large number of teams playing, both professional and amateur. The traditional sport is bullfighting, with many towns still having bullfighting rings that still operate with no issues. Gardening, hiking and surfing are also popular activities.

Consumer Goods: 75
Consumer goods can be widely found everywhere, with many cars, appliances, food products being locally produced. While many Beirans prefer to do the shopping in supermarkets, it is still a very popular pastime that early on the Saturday morning people go to the farmers' markets and buy produce and cheeses. Campaigns of the government to promote buying local has produced instances in which in some cases local markets targeting young middle class are much more expensive than places where imported goods are sold, even if import tax is paid for them. Even so, in more rural and isolated settlements many informal shops have been set up.

Housing: 80
Many of the cities still keep the old, traditional aspect that do make them an attraction for tourists. During the 60s to the 80s a series of state sponsored housing estates were built in many of the cities, making home ownership a norm, over rent. Since 1997 such housing estates are built up by private companies. While numbers of renters start to rise, home ownership is still about at 95%. There still are many rural settlements that are slowly depopulating as the young people move to the cities.

Natural Environment: 70

Updated for the new year now that I worked a bit on Furlanìe and know it better

Political and social environment: 67

Furlanìe is politically stable, with two main parties different but open to pragmatic cooperation, the score is considerably lowered by the known interventions of the Grand Ducal crown, supported by the military, in political matters; crime is fairly low thanks to the competent and pervasive presence of a mixture of police and military police, and an efficient judiciary.
Economic environment: 97
The Grau stock market is probably the greatest example of free trade in Gallo-Germania, attracting investments for Friulian companies and free competition from the whole of Europe.
Outside the market, the Friulian State plays a significant role in the Friulian companies in a soft form of dirigism, especially focused on outside expansions, to make the free economy of the Grand Duchy equally competitive with the generally much more state-directed economies of Europe, this policy is well structured and regulated, being the evolution of the ancient trade methods of the maritime republic of Tergest.

Socio-cultural environment: 31
Although the government does not intervene with force, minorities are not recognised in any way, and the society is generally anchored to tradition, topics like LGBT rights and gender equality are avoided and usually censored from the political debate by the Vuaite party and the crown.
Medical and health considerations: 51
The government provides an effective but very basic health system for its citizens, that are required to look for private healthcare when in need of advanced procedures.
There is an extremely organised recycling system; air pollution is low in the less populated and rural western hinterland, but significantly higher on the cramped and industrialised East, around Grau, and while the winds coming from the Reman sea help disperse air pollution, the intense naval traffic makes the waters around the Eastern coast quite polluted.

Schools and education: 94
Work-oriented public schools offer an excellent preparation for the labour market while also supporting cultural activities and community-building; private schools offer a more artistic and philosophical education, and are generally affordable to most of the middle to low income citizens thanks to a wide number of public-funded scholarships and many crown-funded as well.
Public services and transportation: 84
The transportation system is excellent, a well-oiled, efficient machine, with a strong cooperation and dialogue between infrastructure maintenance and public transportation; Traffic is only an issue in the Eastern hinterland, as the coastal areas make great use of naval-transportation.
Recreation: 92
Friuli is full of historical Frankish monuments and Tiburan structures and ruins; pubs and restaurants can be found in every district and village and usually offer local products, made with locally-grown food; sport activities and events are heavily funded by the government, cinemas and theatres can be found in most cities and towns, competing with churches in number.
Consumer goods: 65
The "poor" Friulian cuisine requires few ingredients that are found all around the land, cars and most other land-transport vehicles are bought from Eiffelland or Etruria.
Housing: 68
With the exception of areas like the Grau city center and Tergest, housing is fairly affordable, most appliances and items are bought from local producers, that focus on a middle ground between affordability and reliability, with the higher classes buying more sophisticated foreign products.
Natural environment: 69
The mainland is either overcrowded residential and industrial areas or cramped rural land divided in small profitable lots, there are few natural parks, but most of the natural beauty of Furlanìe resides in its mountains, hills, and the oversea territories of the Free City of Tergest; particularly popular holiday destination by Gallo-Germanians.

  • Political and social environment (political stability, crime, law enforcement, etc.) 81
    • The Federal Kingdom of Etruria is Politically stable, even if political life happens to be upset by some political scandal. The population has good esteem and respect in political institutions and the monarchy is the bond that keeps the country united in difficult times. The main referent of the community are the municipalities, which represent the will of local citizenship directly.

  • Economic environment (currency exchange regulations, banking services). 85
    • Etruria is an open market economy with partly state participation, which regulates the impossibility of creating monopolies. The Kingdom is part of the largest free trade area. The country also represents a natural port for Germany and every year it always manages a greater flow of containers. The country also has a strong industrial presence.

  • Socio-cultural environment (media availability and censorship, limitations on personal freedom). 90
    • The government does not apply any censorship to the press, radio, television or on the internet. Etruria is the founding member of the ODS, and the main supporter of ODS citizenship, which guarantees freedom of movement and work in all member countries, as well as diplomatic protections. Minorities are protected by law and enjoy special representative bodies within the political system of Etruria.

  • Medical and health considerations (medical supplies and services, infectious diseases, sewage, waste disposal, air pollution, etc.). 92
    • The Federation recognizes human health as an inalienable right, and for this reason it guarantees free treatment throughout the national territory. Coverage is assured on the coasts and large urban centers, while private companies operate in the cities of a few thousand inhabitants and inland. Citizens treated in these clinics, I can request the deduction of the cost from taxes.

  • Schools and education (standards and availability of international schools). 71
    • By law, school education is compulsory and free of charge up to the age of 18. However, school construction is lacking, as the classes are not sufficient for the number of students, effectively creating an overpopulation. University education is not compulsory even if the fees in public faculties are only a few 100 euros. The state and many organizations offer scholarships to access and cover the cost of housing, especially for students who live far from big cities.

  • Public services and transportation (electricity, water, public transportation, traffic congestion, etc.). 95
    • The public transport of Etruria is one of the best if we consider the trains and the adoption of buses and electric vehicles within the metropolitan areas. Every large urban area is interconnected with high-speed trains. The service is offered by state-owned companies and private companies, which guarantee an impeccable service.

  • Recreation (restaurants, theatres, cinemas, sports and leisure, etc.). 89
    • Etruria is a country of Tiburan culture. The numerous theaters, cafes, cinemas are present in all cities and offer a wide variety of shows. In addition to a wide selection of today's shows, Etruria is the site of numerous archelogical remains of the Tiburan Imperial age.

  • Consumer goods (availability of food/daily consumption items, cars, etc.). 79
    • The population, thanks to a massive presence of a middle class, enjoys the possibility of accessing goods, cars and services from all the common market of the ODS. Etruria is a land renowned for its wines and meats. There are also several mature and fresh sheep's cheeses. Bread (without salt) also has a particular importance. Stale bread is used for numerous soup recipes.
The meat can be consumed cooked, like the famous steaks, or processed and preserved, in the form of salami or prosecco, fat is also preserved. Game is a very popular meat, wild boar, rabbits and pheasants are a very delicious meat.

  • Housing (rental housing, household appliances, furniture, maintenance services). 69
    • A dated building heritage, and a lack of inadequate urban planning in previous decades, an ever more constant presence of tourists, have made the price of houses in the major urban centers skyrocket. While there is a constant absence of care and abandonment of old houses, farms and farms in the hinterland.

  • Natural environment (aggregate of overall climate, environmental laws, and record of natural disaster response/prevention). 90
    • A vast kingdom, with a population allocated on the coast, allowed the birth of huge national parks and wildlife reserves in the hinterland. Etruria also enjoys the strongest green party in all of Gaul-Germany. The country plans to achieve total independence from fossil energy over the next 10-20 years.

Political and social environment: 76
The political and social environment of the Confederation is stable. While constituent Socialist Republics may have disputes, the Confederal government does not have issues. Social problems exist between rural and urban societies, and between Gallian and non-Gallian ethnicities, and between Tiburan Catholicism and evangelical Liberationism, though these disputes take place in politics. Incarceration rates are below .05% and violent crime is almost unheard of, while human rights groups warn about the treatment of prisoners and exorbitant conviction rates.
Economic environment: 35
Taxes are high to provide for services, the welfare state will be unsustainable with an aging population in the future without an expansion of taxes, system reform, or other financial solution. Corporations are in part-syndicalized, with limitations on personal stockholding ownership of 2% per business, stocks being provided to workers, and unions are formed by companies to direct corporate decision making. Foreign credit agencies are not recognized in Asteria, nor are foreign banks; local banks are responsible for providing personal loans and for establishing credit on a bank-by-bank basis. Personal credit is not a major part of the Asterian economy.
Socio-cultural environment: 84
Television and internet access is limited in rural households, and internet is typically provided by net cafes in rural areas. Local restaurants become popular communal gathering areas for mass watching of popular TV shows or games. The government has strictly forbidden all Marxist-Leninovist media channels, but does little to regulate what is aired on television. Restrictions which are applied include culturally relevant age ratings. There are no significant structural limitations to personal freedoms.
Medical and health considerations: 72
Universal healthcare is applied to all citizens, and emergency service treatment is provided regardless of citizenship status. Healthcare quality is average, as most doctors are paid by salary, meaning that wealthier citizens may travel abroad for critical operations and access to better doctors. Domestic medical drug production is poor, and most drugs are imported from Auraria, Serenierre, Madurja, or Eiffelland-Retalia, observing their drug approval regulations. Mental healthcare is considered a right and is available to all.
Schools and education: 53
Primary and lower secondary education (Elementary to 9th) are compulsory. Higher secondary education (10th to 12th) and above are optional, with vocational technical schools as an alternative, including agricultural or fisheries high schools being common choices. Higher secondary education is primarily limited to one per comune. University attendance is lower compared to neighboring countries, but has a heavy international focus with international teachers and foreign language training emphasis. Universities are primarily located in cities with more than 250,000 population.
Public services and transportation: 78
Public transportation is the primary form of transportation, especially buses and trains. The country does not yet have a national-level high-speed rail. Electricity is primarily provided by oil and natural gas plants, while green energy is considered space-consumptive and destructive to habitats. Coal power has been all but phased out. Water is primarily collected via aquifer extraction or stream collection, while climate mitigates the need for irrigation. Utilities are public and covered for with taxes. Highways exist, but provide limited access, while rural roads sometimes suffer for maintenance.
Recreation: 64
Athletics complexes are featured in every comune and every athletic facility available at lower secondary level schools and above is available to public use on weekends or after school hours. Popular sports include swimming, calcio fiorentino, archery, water polo, and rowing. Marina's are all stocked with rentable kayaks and rowboats, while row clubs and outrigger canoe clubs are common. Theaters are available in major cities, while cinemas are available to most towns, though domestic film production is of poor quality and access to foreign film distribution is very limited. Restaurants are very common, ingredients are generally local, and food safety standards are high.
Consumer goods: 72
Having access to Gallian markets results in high availability of all goods, though trade restrictions on some items can result in high prices. Fuel prices are notably high, and availability scarce, resulting in high use of public transportation. Supermarkets are rarer, typically serving doubly as pharmacies, and present only in the municipal seat of comunes, while grocers are more common.
Housing: 91
Free housing is provided to all single occupant or families and is maintained and administered by the government, however is poorly accommodating. Rural villa's typically see multi-generational familial households maintained. Falling growth rates have brought Asterian areas largely into replacement rate levels of growth, meaning that existing housing infrastructure typically satisfies the demand. Within urban areas, condominium living is most common, while transient visitors such as tourists will reside either in high quality, expensive resorts, or in capsule hotels for approximately $15/night. 90% of households own their own home.
Natural environment: 97
SRC Asteria has some of the most restrictive environmental regulations in the world, in large part stifling industrial development. Farming patterns retain traditional mixed-forest techniques, and environmental regulations enforce such patterns. Asterian coastal law harshly punishes bilging in EEZ waters, and encourages communities to self-regulate sustainable fish take quantities. Most chemical pesticides are strictly forbidden, and genetic modification of agricultural product is also forbidden. Hunting is limited to the use of pistols, non-automatic longarms, bows, crossbows, and spears; hunting grounds are geographically limited and seasonally adjusted, and property leases for the purpose of hunting are forbidden. Asteria eschews green energy as being destructive to habitats in respect to the acreage per watt required to produce power, and is pursuing other means of limited emissions, such as household and corporate energy consumption limitations.

Political and social environment: 70

With the death of the monarch and no immediate heir apparent to take over the throne the political arena was recently thrown into a mixup, while monarch had no direct say in governing, the loss is still a shocker and has caused legislative and executive branches to make moves to change the direction of the state, but overall national government is functional with a majority party in control. Law enforcement and crime rates are dependent on location and laws of the local region as there are very few national laws except for the most severe crimes. The deeper into the country and in less populated regions crime can at times run rampant and enforcement be lax due to budget issues for the municipalities.

Economic environment: 86

The Central Bank is in charge of the currency valuation of the greenback and maintaining the general direction of the economy. Currency exchange is quite easily handled at several locations across the country, however currency exchange of those belonging to the communist blocs are prohibited. Tax rates are kept at a lower rate compared to many countries in the world owing in part to fiscal budget management that covers the needs of the populace and security, but not a cent more, this keeps the public sector small and encourages a large prosperous private sector.

Socio-cultural environment: 93

Personal freedoms are staple of government policy for the last century having rolled back some of the restrictions placed in the mid 19th century upon them. The citizens of the country are as free as when the place was first settled, some would argue more. Wide range of media outlets are allowed, while technically banned, some pirate radio stations from communist bloc are not censured by the government as has been historically.

Medical and health considerations: 63

Infectious diseases are more common in the interior of the country due to environmental factors and the unique flora and fauna that still dominates the interior and some hard to access regions. Medical is subsidized by the government to cover all costs for the poor and some for the middle class, but has a large private sector insurance for those who wish to have it to cover costs the government subsidies do not. Air quality is relatively high despite the number of personal vehicles due to the low density population.

Schools and education: 90

Universal standards were implemented across the country decades ago and universal education is considered a staple to a higher standard of living and continued advancement of the economy and society. Education is fully funded by the government thru primary education. Extended education is funded for the first 2 years (so trade schools are largely fully funded, and first 2 years of college) but to supplement this government grants are available for many who can qualify that are not required to be paid back upon successful completion of education, these grants also cover education abroad.

Public services and transportation: 67

Mass transit while available in all cities and towns across the country is largely dependent upon where you are looking for it, no nation wide mass transit system exists beyond rail lines for the mass flow of goods, owed largely to expansive private ownership of vehicles and geography of the country. The country is interconnected by a series of highways and roads that are heavily maintained by the government, and some private entities on private roads. Power and water resources are available across the country including many remote regions, infrastructure is however beginning to show its age and some areas are not interconnected to the national grid in these remote regions.

Recreation: 87

The expansive coastline and amicable climate results in a large amount of time being spent in the waters and on the beaches, and sometimes even in the mountains along the eastern border. Entertainment is easily found along the coastal regions and the interior between large chains and local small businesses that give a taste of their region and native customs. This is helped by the tourist industry who wish to experience a whole different culture that has interchanged and formed on a different level.

Consumer goods: 82

Access to ODS and Westernesse markets and the domestic food alongside the urban agricultural policy and mining industries of the nation has granted easily affordable access to foods and other commodities for the citizenry of the Confederacy which looks to accelerate even greater in the coming years as these agreements reach full implementation.

Housing: 77

Owing the spread of the population across the large country housing for ownership and rent is easily accessible and moderately priced and even extremely cheap in some parts of the country, with coastal regions being the most expensive but still moderately priced for the average working family. Services are quite accessible with many opting for trade schools thru the education system due to the higher pay of skilled trades and facts minimal costs are incurred by pursuit of such educations and affordable goods from either domestic or foreign suppliers due to trade agreements.

Natural environment: 63

Urban agriculture is a policy that was implemented in the late 40s to help protect the natural rain forests of the country and since then several other nature protection laws have come into procedure that makes it difficult for farming and ranching operations to expand at the costs of the natural landscape. While mining and agriculture are important to the country laws are in place to limit their impact and protect the natural flora and fauna. While it is hard to sometimes stop some abuse in the interior at times by those attempting to sidestep the laws, enforcement is quite strict with harsh punishments handed down to make examples of those who will attempt and abuse the system. Natural disaster response can be extremely hampered in parts of the country given the difficult access without high level government support.
