UNITED REPUBLICS in the THAUMANTIC​

The UREOS is the diplomatic service of the United Republics in the Thaumantic. It supports the actions and diplomatic initiatives of the URT’s foreign affairs secretary - the Under-Minister-General for the External Oversight Service - and, in doing so, the external priorities and interests of the URT’s Commons External Agenda.

The cornerstone of the responsibility undertaken by the UREOS is seen through the legitimacy, and respectability, it sustains in its relationship and intimate support for the foreign and defence ministries of the member states of the URT, and other institutions of the URT such as the United Republics Ministry, Security Council and the United Republics Assembly. It is committed to a close working relationship with other international organisations.

The UREOS is headquartered within the Tertius Point building, located in New Union City, Republic Capital Territory. It maintains and is reliant on an extensive network of URT diplomatic presence worldwide, complimenting and reinforcing independent foreign service apparatus of individual member states globally.

Diplomatic and trade representatives of the United Republics’ to host nations around the world are administered and the responsibility of the UREOS. Similarly, diplomatic representatives to the United Republics are welcomed and received by the UREOS in New Union City.

The democratisation of the Ostmarkian state represents the greatest impetus for a renewed committal to internationalist ideals in a generation. The United Republics, having succeeded in the readjustment of politically insular concerns in pursuit of addressing the Climatonic Urgency, is now unequivocally compelled to recognise its outward responsibilities in shouldering the global and humanitarian efforts. To this end, the United Republics Ministry is pro-active in the organised delivery of coordinated assistance about Europe, where it is found necessary and viable within our immediate means.

Ostmark, unperturbed by the injustice of a geopolitical campaign that appears to be dissipating in failure as swiftly as it was undertaken, faces uncertainty without sustained international support to alleviate the negative impacts affecting ordinary Ostmarkians. The United Republics Ministry appreciates and is relieved by the generosity of Ostmark’s immediate and more sensible neighbours, a humanitarian kindness that has not gone unseen within New Union City, indeed the whole of Europe. It is likely that, contrary to diplomatic openings, the risk to further, escalated tension and turbulence between Ostmark and Tarusa remains sadly undeniable. It is not a European interest to see the citizenry of Ostmark face renewed suffering in consequence of geopolitical posturing.

In spite of the concerns and expectations of the United Republics Ministry, it is urgent for the stability of the region that Tarusa and Ostmark re-evaluate tensions, lessening the severity, and committing to the restoration of deepened diplomatic engagement. In respect of the latter, the United Republics welcomes the efforts of the Frankish Government to achieve interim resolution. Rehabilitating the agreement Ostmark has with Lianozov, as to be governed by the principle of equity, remains imperative to the permanent defusing of regional tension that so undermines our collective interests.

The support of the United Republics, through the United Republics in the Thaumantic Humanitarian Aid Service (URTHAS) announced today, while not exclusively pertaining to the Ostmarko-Tarusan matter, recognises and empowers the self-determination of the Ostmarkian people, genuinely and equally.

• The United Republics will organise financial assistance [$15 billion/year], through URTHAS, to alleviate persisting economic dependency and transitional concerns. The URTHAS will proceed with expansive discussions involving technical contribution developing permanent energy diversification and independence, the realistic profile of long-term financial aid from the United Republics [15 years], and further measures to sustain Ostmark’s economy and self-determination.

• The URTHAS will undertake a review, alongside the Government of West March, of continued humanitarian aid [$5 billion/year].

​

• The United Republics External Oversight Service (UREOS) and URTHRAS are to coordinate a position negotiating cooperation with the Prydain Government on expanded humanitarian aid [$5 billion/year] and a widening of humanitarian policy in the country. The UREOS hopes to initiate intensified dialogue with the Prydain Government to lay the political groundwork for a wider reach of the URTHRAS’s anti-poverty advancement, supporting national government policies, and developing improved response from allocated aid investments.
