A shootout has taken place in Cancosa, capital of the Vidacha department, in a police action to dismantle the remnants of the Selva Cartel, whose leaders were arrested in an operation in 2022. The National Police has been following the turf war that started from the decapitation of the leadership of the cartel and is now moving to cleanse the remnant factions. In a raid that led to the arrest of a lieutenant and the discovery of a cache of more than 10 billion pesos, two policemen were wounded, five sicarios were killed and ten more arrested.. #ElEspectador #WesternJournalism​

Weird position from our colleague, Senyor Gonaugh, probably from the high humidity of his islands. Meridia has not held hostile intent to any of its neighbours in the last century and has a sane, functional and consolidated democracy, that just brought us, the Labour Party in power, after being a decade in opposition. It is insulting to any Meridian or Cervian citizen. If they want to argue with someone there are true authoritarian states out there, and the Spascirians just need to look around their archipelago for them.​

Just home from the summit in Toyou, Presidenta Marissa de Herrera has visited the Vidacha Department and has met with the local government, entrepreneurs and organised a public cabildo where she met with the regular citizens. This comes as part of the government's plan to increase visibility to the issues of the interior Departments and to promote entrepreneurship within them. Presidenta de Herrera has announced that in the next year, important public infrastructure projects will begin in the area, which will create the perfect environment for an economic boom. #ElEspectador #WesternJournalism​

In Ordo City, since 1940, all cobblestones with a minimum size of 18x18x18 cubes have been approved for road construction. The size of the stones prevents abuse through violence. By (for example protesters) digging out the stones and potentially throwing them. Which means one less security risk for the city.

The Grand Magistrate of Jianshan, the Kingdom's judiciary's third highest authority, has petitioned the King to ban all social media accounts, publications and enterprises that may be linked to Urban V and the Church of Solaren.
