The events in Caledonia have been heartbreaking for any true Catholic, as it saw the faith and religion perverted into an instrument of chaos, hate and destruction. We feel that with the last event, this finally shows that world the true tragedy that is the fanaticism and hate of Covenanters and Urbanites, which take innocent lives in the name of what is nothing but their Satanic beliefs. Empress Catalina has been a guiding light for the Caledonia since she was a teenager, always striving to improve the lives of the downtrodden and always publicising charity cases. It just shows that the time has come for the world tu turn its back to such politics, when all they do is sow suffering and death.​

The government is set to meet in an emergency session in regards to the events in Caledonia and the Far Northern Republic. Previously, Prime Minister Arnau Estrada i Regas has condemned the break apart of Caledonia and has called Justosia to participate in the coalition to reform Caledonia as a functional nation, together with Justosia, Cantignia and the Hanseatic Republic of Yorck. Now, it is believed that Meridia might take further steps to push for its opinion that the nations of the world need to aid the needy, not break them apart. #MeridianNews #TempsdeValls​

The events in Caledonia are slowly but surely touching only now every country as lines are being drawn and camps are being created after the recent events. While we do not endorse Justosia's expansion, not support it, we understand the position of the Far Northern Republic, which has been created out of frustration that comes in the aftermath of a genocide, where chemical weapons were used by the Covenanters against the northerners. Sadly for the Northerners, their project failed financially and from there, the support Justosia offered. While ideally for us, they would have been reintegrated into a new Caledonia, we find no reason for Meridia to intervene in the affairs of the Engellexic isles and thus will not align itself with anyone on this matter.​

The National Meteorological Agency has issued a warning as it observed the generation of a tropical-like cyclone forming north of Al-Qamar, on the south-eastern fringes of the Meridian Sea, and starting to gain force as it moves to the north-west. It is feared that it may rise in intensity to become a Medicane, and thus hitting Hamrun and Chiste extremely hard. I do not condemn or condone the actions of Justosia with the Far Northern Republic at this time. However I cannot see how the people of the FNR will benefit in the long term by having their nation and very identity absorbed into an alien culture. My Secretary of State has sent a message to the foreign ministry of Justosia asking to discuss with me the annexation of the FNR, my hopes is that the Justosians will slow the process down and allow to the people to hold a referendum on annexation rather than hold firm with the FNR's national assembly vote which passed only by simple majority. Such a decision cannot be decided by such a simple vote.

With the administration's position reaffirmed with these new elections, I am bringing the Acosta Doctrine, to a vote in Congress, as part of a larger Bill of Humanitarian Solidarity. We will make these United States be a beacon of hope and defence of human rights both at home and in the world. The Acosta Doctrine will make us deal first and foremost with democratic governments, not authoritarian ones, and will turn us into actors on the world stage. We will open the gates to the Caledonian refugees and we will send aid and funds to the Coalition there. We must lend a hand to the people who suffer, for we will always be happy when someone comes to aid us when we suffer too.​

It's nothing short of repulsive to me that the Josepanians would subject a people under occupation to a galant parade of the literal corpse of the wife of their occupier. Have the people of Caledonia not suffered enough indignities? I've said it once before, I'll say it many times again: the only good royal is a dead one. May many, no all, royals follow the example set by Her Late Royal Majesty.

Heavy rainfall and flooding has been reported in Hamrun and Noria as storm Berenguer has hit the Meridian Archipelago. The Ras ir-Raħeb and l-Imtaħleb rivers in the Lvant Island of Hamrun have flooded, with the towns of Xerri and Xagħra being heavily affected. In Noria, the Highlands have received rainfall for a whole year in only 30 hours, leading to floods on the very little populated southern coast and with landslides on the northern slopes, which have affected the railway on the island. The incredible storms that have hit Hamrun and Noria should be a concern to everyone in this world, as we are facing increasingly violent storms. In a day and a half, the eastern island of Hamrun and Noria have received the equivalent of a whole year of rains with heavy damages to the settlements and infrastructure where the storm hit. The government has mobilised all its forces to aid the victims. We are bringing more than 5,000 emergency workers to the islands to look for missing people and to help the people who have lost members of their families and their homes. ​

Catholic and Royal Army units from the Norian Division and the Ebrian Army have been mobilised, together with the Hamrunite Legion, to aid the search, rescue and extrication services in the islands of Noria and Lvant to aid the people affected by Storm Berenguer. Rainfall continues heavily in the Archipelago and as has now reached Campania and Ebria too, albeit at much lower levels. The Acosta Bill, also dubbed as the Caledonian Bill Redux, has been voted and approved by the Congress. The bill opens the way to the return of a foreign policy based on democratic and humanitarian values, and offers to help nations going through through crises and catastrophes. The bill will allow as many as 70,000 refugees from Caledonia to move to Nueva Betica and will reinforce the Josepanian presence there with funds and supplies to aid the Caledonian people and with volunteers to distribute the emergency supplies. #ElEspectador #WesternJournalism​

The updated numbers released by the government show the level of damage Storm Berenguer has caused 170 deaths and about 2,000 wounded people which have been admitted to hospitals all over the country. The government issued an estimation of the damage to the buildings and infrastructure rising to around 10 billion Reales. The Ferrovia de Noria continues to be damaged and it is believed that in late March, at the earliest, it will return to normal functionality. About 200 buildings, most of them wooden annexes and temporary homes have collapsed and even some stone and brick ones have been damaged. #MeridianNews #TempsdeValls​
