The Polar Open
Dronningens allmennheten tennisklubb årlige tennisturneringThe Polar Open[SUP]1[/SUP] is held every year in Østveg as part of Europe's professional tennis circuit as one of the Major tennis tournaments of the year along with the Cantigian Open. This year the best four players from each nation —two of each gender, may register for the tournament. The Polar Open is proud to have the support of Claire Meadows, Markus Lindback and others. (

) Played on grass surface, the Polar Open marks the beginning of summer in Østveg and festivities shaped around the celebration of this summer will be marked throughout the tournament.

The Open will begin on June 20th, 1953. Registration is open until the afternoon of June 20th (12:00) local time. Dress code is relaxed.

[SUP]1[/SUP] - The Polar Open is the name that has been given to this tournament for the express purpose of international marketing to a non-Austwegian audience. The tournament is referred to nationally as the Queen's Public Tennis Club's Annual Tennis Tournament, affectionately called Allmennhetens Cup.

All-Fennian Tennis Association

Due to a travel advisory issued by the Foreign Office for the territories known as Ostveg, as well as persistent concerns that Fennian citizens would come under serious physical threat or even assault by anti-Fennian Norse jingoists, no Fennian players will be participating. The All-Fennian Tennis Association will officially boycott the Polar Open in protest to the warmongering by the current Norse administration and in order to demonstrate solidarity for the Fennians in the Union constituent of Malminmaa, who are finding their homes looked upon greedily by Chancellor Bakken and her henchmen.
