The past year has seen great changes in the world. Once might alliances stand broken and powerless – the old guard of international politics has yielded their control over to a new, most noble philosophy espousing the values of tradition, nobility and chivalry. Yet where the light shines bright, an opposing ideology, clinging to the very worst aspects of the former system, tries its level best to hold back the world in its propagation of the petty politics of universal democracy.

It is with these concerning issues in mind, the Kingdom of Belmont, upon the express instructions of His Majesty The King, extends an invitation to the most noble nations of Great-Engellex and Cantigny to meet in Villesen to discuss the issues of common concern and mutual interest in the emerging geo-strategic set-up.

The Kingdom of Belmont would be honoured greatly to host such a gathering to discuss the initial policy initiatives of greater cooperation until a more formal and standing agreement can be put into place.

DULWICH, TUESDAY, 17th JULY 2012

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty The Queen-Empress
to make known the following gracious Statement of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty
to the Queen, Lords and Commoners of the Kingdom of Belmont.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.

TO THE QUEEN, LORDS AND COMMONERS OF THE KINGDOM OF BELMONT
I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;

On seriously reviewing the present state of affairs and balancing chances for and against our adherence to a formal alliance with the Kingdom of Belmont, I do not believe that our capitals should not find great success in this noble enterprise. I do not, of course, pretend to affirm that such will be the case, but merely to say that there strong hopes and aspirations to see this diplomatic arrangement bear fruit.

As First Lord of Aldwych d’Evercy, I shall personally oversee the preparations for an Engellexic delegation to arrive within your august metropolis to partake and negotiate the framework for such a formal and potent relationship.

By the Grace of GOD, of the EMPIRE of GREAT ENGELLEX, CHARLOTTE, the QUEEN-EMPRESS, through the SECRETARY of STATE, his Grace the DUKE of NONSUCH
