Sîla Âshkrenat sighed and closed the folder he was examining as a baby started screaming in the coffee shop; he was a short and frail middle-aged man, with long, wavy, grizzled hair.

Officially he was there as a tourist, to visit the city of Lars, but as chief secretary of the head of the economy organizing assembly, his unofficial mission for the Motherland of the Iorusahns was to secure the contract for the construction of an high-speed rail tunnel, connecting the Grand Duchy of Lars to Eiffelland-Retalia.

As he was putting the folder back in his briefcase, his cellphone started ringing "iêkkshkor" he mumbled with a satisfied look on his face, after reading the name on the screen.

"greetings, Sîla Âshkrenat here-... yes... I was hoping I could offer you some Iorusahni brandy I managed to smuggle here... glad you do... we could meet this evening at the Iorusahni embassy, I'm finding it to be quite difficult to find a quiet place here in the capital"

A black car stopped in front of the embassy, it was a car that could call anyone through the special app. A man with Germanic features descended from the car. Light hair and ice eyes were the man's signature. He did not really seem a politician, in fact he was only a secretary of one of the many politicians who animated the life of the capital of the grand duchy.

"I am waiting for a Brandy tasting. Mr. Nobody." The man said to the guard at the embassy gate.

The gate guard checks his paper folder by sliding his finger over a list of names.

"Yes, Mr. Nobody, I follow. I will accompany you to the room where you can enjoy the brandy in peace."

Sîla Âshkrenat was sitting on an armchair in the small library of the embassy, reading a book of a Iôrusahni author.
The library walls were all covered with dark wooden panels inlaid with lighter kinds of wood in geometric patterns, a small window illuminated the central area of the room, where a small table and two armchairs were.
Two big, wooden bookcases were by the shadowy sides on the left and right of the window.
As he licked his finger and turned the page someone knocked at the door in front of him
"thîpaenankor?" asked without taking his eyes off the book
"Mr. Nobody is-doing arrive" answered the guard from behind the door, Sîla quickly closed the book and stood up
"do enter! please" he said, opening the door "I wasn't expecting you so early, please sit down" he then looked at the guard "tôkaritak hêlih an jô" the guard nodded and left, closing the door behind him.

"I promised you some Iôrusahni brandy, and I always keep my word" said Sîla, smiling, as he reached the bookcase on his left; after putting aside a group of large tomes about the Tiburan church, he inserted his arm in the furniture and extracted a bottle and two small glasses
"the safest place of the embassy" exclaimed Sîla, "here, have a glass"

"you know the brandy wasn't exactly the only reason I wanted to see you, we know each other thanks to this whole tunnel project, our nation is very interested as you may have noticed... and I started to consider you as... a friend. and friends help each other right? so, there was a meeting of the economy organizing assembly on Monday and the chairman, Mrs. Shûkra, talked about a project to export this very brandy to the world. what she needed was a bridgehead to another country, someone we could trust to help us find the right companies to sell it to, someone that knew the local culture and laws, and someone that wanted a big bag of money for this very hard and crucial job..."

"It would be too beautiful drink brandy without having to talk about work."
The man answered taking the glass from Sîla Âshkrenat.
"Its right what you say now, we are friend, but i can't realize what you want without a powerful support." Mr Nobody sits in front of his interlocutor while tasting the liquor. The man swirled the liquid in the glass several times before drinking it, to enhance its taste.

"The Greens are stubborn people, but with the right advice I will give you, and your financial support, you could get the contract you so desire. Of course there will be a formal competition to preserve the appearance, you understand me, right? All this of course is a hypothesis, I'm not telling you to give me money in exchange for favors, we're just two friends talking in front of a glass of good brandy."
The man ended up drinking his brandy and placed the empty glass on the table.
"Right?"

 

[Furlanìe]

Sîla grinned "of course, my dear friend, I wouldn't ever ask you something like that. But if one, let's call it... Silâ, wanted... hypothetically, to influence the outcome, would it be possible? and of course my proposition for that job has nothing to do with this"

 

[Imimoya]

"Good question, very good question." Mr Nobody made a sign to fill his glass with further divine nectar.
"Hypothetically, it can be possible. You must know who to look for in the commission and in the ministry. But you are very lucky, because we are friend, and friend help each other."

"We all know that the Greens are very stubborn people, still believe in ideals, but they are also human and therefore can be convinced to be our friends."

 

[Furlanìe]

Sîla poured more brandy in both glasses
"and I'm sure you would know who to look for wouldn't you?"
"isn't all this lovely? Fierndly nations coming together and finding personal connections to assure peace and cooperation, I'm sure the assembly will be delighted to know this"

 

[Imimoya]

"It's really nice to see friends helping each other. We are friends who have the common interest in advancing their countries."
The man stood up from his chair.
"It's time to go for me, there are so many people I have to hear and as many to convince. I look forward to his donation for our good-hearted work."

Mr. Nobody greeted his friend and had himself escorted outside the embassy by the guard, where he could call a car to go home with his cell phone.
