van Aartsen "concerned" by Belmonti actions

Good afternoon, it's just past noon in Meddo and I'm Eva Kroon with Algemeen Leidenburg Persbureau Radio News. The top story is the rise in Belmonti-Coronado tensions in central Europe. Tensions between the two countries have been on the rise as of late, after the Martinique government in Paris accused the Coronado government of being behind a plot to assassinate the premiere of Belmont. The Coronado government has vehemently denied this claim, saying they have no involvement what-so-ever. The diplomatic back-and-forth have continued and seem to be reaching a fever pitch. There are concerns among some observers in Europe that this diplomatic dispute might soon become something more than that. Today, the Rosenthal government responded for the first time. Speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Meedo, State Secretary Uri van Aarsten said he was very concerned by the actions of the Martinique government, calling the actions of Paris, quote, very disturbing. The Foreign Secretary said he had been in consultation with President Rosenthal throughout the diplomatic conflict and will continue to monitor the situation. He also hinted that the president might make a major statement on Belmont later this week.
