The lies continue, the propaganda spews. PM Diepenbrock's private comments are now being used by Lumina to justify ending a prosperous relationship between Éireann and Batavia? Laughable. The past conflict between Éireann and Batavia during the Great War is now being used to persuade their fellow Celtic folk to simply end a partnership in the Northern Council? Unbelievable. The Great War was a chaotic, horrific time for the world. What's more, Batavia's involvement in the conflict, while brief, was led by the former Principality, an entirely different government. Vlaanderen would never for a moment consider repeating the mistakes made by the Principality during the Great War. Our friends in Éireann are and will remain an important partner. Our friendship and cooperation shows the world that differences can be overcome with time, diplomacy and hard work.

Though it is true that it was the Batavo-Engellexic Union that brought about Na Am na nDolas, The Time of Sorrow, a time that the HÉireannaigh, young and old alike, know and will remember long after your and my bones have turned to dust as the memory of that time, of those events, of the sacrifice and the heroism, of the agonies and the dispair, will be handed down from generation to generation in book, story and song. Knowing the barbarism that the HÉireannaigh experienced at the hands of the Batavians, I have little doubt that the Da Graff Regime was quite capable inflicting the same on the People of the Eagle's Plains, and though you may believe that that we would simply shrug away such a sin, we neither shrug and it is not simple. Éireann has treaties with Batavia, both directly and via the Northern Council, and though we may not agree with the deeds of past Batavian regimes, and even when the Prime Minister of the present government finds it easy to do us a dishonour, we, on the otherhand, still find ourselves honourbound to adhere to those treaties, and will do so until such time that the Batavians break them.

Hijacking In Boreas Causes Commotion In Dáil
Historically, the Oireachtas (Houses of Éireann), especially the Dáil (Assembly), has had little concern with foreign matters, being more interested in domestic affairs, but lately they have been more vocal concerning things the are happening beyond Éireann's shores. With the Batavian PM's anti-Christian remarks last week revealing that the Dáil can effect foreign policy, they have been emboldened and with the latest event in Boreas, the hijacking of a Brettish Airways plane by what appears to be terrorists connected to the "Radical Legitimists" in Aresura, every Teachta Dála (Assembly Delegate) spoke up condemning the terrorism and any and all connected with it, with a majority even going as far as signing a petition that has been sent to both the Ard Ri (High King) and the Príomh-Aire (Prime Minister). Though the petition does not exactly make a demand it does strongly suggest that the crown and the government and recognize the "Reformists" led Constitution Creation Oligarchy as the legitimate government Aresura.

So far there has been no official response to the petition.

Warreic Blames Norhtern Council For Ex-High King's Declining Health, Promises Retrobution
After a long spell of silence from the Kingdom of Warre, the new reigning High King, Lubra MacTherran (aka. Ceith NaAodh) announced that "he would deal with those responsible for his father's ailing health, and that the criminals in Batavie, Eireann, and Suionia whom had chosen to poison the High King, both physically and metaphorically, would pay", came as a surprise in Átha Cliath, especially considering the course of action he has decided to take, that "the nation has decided that a stance of peaceful resolution is not enough" and "so the nation has ramped itself to war".

Though it is unknown how this this announcement has be received in the other capitals of the Northern Council, it was ill received in Átha Cliath for after hearing such news, the order for the mobilization for the defence of the realm has been given. This mobilization will not be restricted to just the Óglaigh na hÉireann* but also the activation for national service of the kern** and hobelar***. Sean Thorton, Aire an Chogaidh (Minister of War) told reporters, "the reason for the mobilization is simple, when it comes to our Warreic cousins, it is best to be prepared." He continued by urging the other members of the Northern Council to follow suit.

* Óglaigh na hÉireann = warrior of Éireann, term used for the Éireann Defence Forces.
** kern = term used for the light infantry that make up the provincial militia
*** hobelar = term used fro the light cavalry (armour) of the provincial militia

Warre Acts On Threats. Óglaigh Engage Warreic Invasion Forces

As was feared, the Warreic have launched an attack on the High Kingdom of Éireann as well as Suionia. As Warreic airborne forces landed on the Suionian island of Lyngholm, but thanks to the High King's forsight in ordering a full mobilization of the country, Warreic naval invasion forces bound for Éireann were detected and intercepted on the Aren and Lyric Seas. Though no reports have been released concerning the engagement beyond that it has occured, ground forces, both regulars and militia, are being moved, especially those station near the coast. Though no declaration has been made, it is almost a certainty that considering that military forces have clashed, there is a state of war between the High Kingdom of Éireann and that of Warre.
