From CarrickAodha “Wieser goods to be embargoed”,

CarrickAodha, Lumina, Warre, Boreasic Continental Union Following a meeting of the Guth na Cúige, the Port Wardens have been ordered to deny any ships of Wieser origin from entering Boreasic Continental Union territory, the naval homeguard have been ordered to stop any Wieser, Wendish, or Franconian ships coming near the continuous Boreasic Continental Union's 70 Naval Mile border, and from an one hundred and fifty nautical miles from the Hyborean territories [former Germanic Freestate]. Further, the Port Wardens have been given authorization to check any ships of Franconian, Wendish, or Danmarker origin for Wieser goods, and to deny any such goods entry into the country, either by confiscation or immediate destruction without compensation. The government also said that, Wiesers within Warre will be expected to renew their visas immediately via an interview with their state's authorities, lest they be deported by the Union/Republic government.

Conversely, the Union government has offered a clause of reimbursement to the shippers for their shipping costs and a return of confiscated goods, but it has only been given been given to any ships under the flags of the Intermarum Federation, Suionia, Eireann, Wing Sing, Modravia, Frescania, Arendaal, Oikawa, Confederal Republics of the North, Padania, Breotonia and Sinhai. The recent act's exact reasoning has not been explained, and when questioned in their offices, the only two representatives who'd answer our calls replied with:

“We have tired of dealing with the scum which they produce.” -Dvery Representative Terrence O'Mell.

“By the sweat of your face- You will eat bread; Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return." - Ryaner Patricson of Executor for Stommaigh, Rygard

This reporter can't really understand either of the cryptic replies he was given, but relays them faithfully none-the-less. While the embargo and nautical restriction might seem not much to the layman, this reporter would like to remind the reader that Warre claims 200 nautical miles from it's continental coast, connecting Caorachstyr and its islands to the mainland's naval borders, and the waters in between the coast and this island are all claimed by Warre's government as nautical boundaries. Luckily for our boys in the Naval Homeguard, the borders spoken of in the statement our our land borders, including Caorachstyr, so there's some level of gap in the otherwise huge bay they'd have to be patrolling for Wieser ships. I'd like to think our government would not assume Wiese's imperialist government would try to smuggle weapons and other criminal goods to the former Germanic Freedom state's remaining insurgents groups, but I myself am not sure Wiese is beyond that movement either.

The government of the Boreasic Continental Union is free to do business as it pleases. We respect the idea of national sovereignty unless regional stability and prosperity is at stake. There is no need for His Majesty's Government to take any actions, because this particular issue will be resolved by the market itself in the middle run. For the time being, a travel notice will be issued for the BCU by this ministry advising citizens on journeys to the Boreasic Continental Union on account of political tensions caused by their national government, which could hinder the free movement of Franconian citizens. Furthermore, we will observe the situation closely.
