The Republic of Sylvania has, in typical Sylvanian dissidence, determined to challenge the Vithraic Peacekeeping Force that was declared mobile several weeks ago, and had departed by way of ship earlier this week. With the Republic's past patterns of warlike behavior, we are not convinced that the issues Sylvanian threats against the Kingdom of Vithrais are a bluff.
In harsh terms: this primarily unarmed fleet carrying standard infantry soldiers and support crews will pass Insegal within the next 16 hours, and would cross in to what we deem to be roguish territorial waters that belong to the bellicose Sylvanian Armada. Our nation does not want a war with Sylvania despite even the dangers this decapitated regime, so we believe there are only two options available to ensure the future of our mission to stabilize the middle and southern Occident:
- Our forces and naval assets will press ahead and risk the possibility of an armed conflict that would bring the continent to its knees.
- Our forces and naval assets will dock at Stark in Insegal with the expressed permission of Insegal with the intent of negotiating terms with Sylvania and avoiding an all out war.
Retreat is not an option for the Kingdom of Vithrais as we rush to support the Commonwealth Republic of Ommeroth, whose President Jakob Rothstein requested a token force to guarantee its independence from the unstable and rogue like Republic of Sylvania, and to assist in quelling the rampant rise of Anarchy and so-called post-delegationism. We furthermore believe that Insegal faces the same threats from the same evils, and that it would also be the duty of all honorable Vittish Folk to defend the lives of Vitts residing peacefully within Insegal.
Fifteen Thousand Royal Army troops will either pass Insegal and continue in to a potential massacre and outbreak of war, or they will seek temporary and reimbursed shelter on Insegal until Sylvania's senses can be regained. Sylvanians believe that the mere sabre rattling and threats are enough to bully fellow nations in to submission. We have seen this time and time again in these last years, all culminating in the illegal invasion of the Dansk Faroes Islands. And since the bare skeleton garrison defending the Faroes was easily defeated in quick and decisive combat, we believe that future campaigns by Republican Sylvania will get bolder and more aggressive until Insegal itself is next on the chopping block.
To guarantee our good intentions, the Prime Minster Leonard Harbourne, a Baron of the Royal Order, and an Archpriest of the Vithraic Christian Order have all volunteered to hand themselves in to Insegal's control and supervision until the conflict is resolved. We not only want a peaceful solution, we want a lasting peace on and around the Occident. We have guaranteed the independence of Ommeroth, and if need be will guarantee the independence of Insegal.
