IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OF SIKANDARA
COUNCIL FOR DIPLOMACY
PRIVATE COMMUNIQUE
The Imperial Government would like to highlight an important matter to the signatory governments of the Trilateral Agreement. A recent statement by the Carentanian press has alluded to the mention of a possible closure of the Long Sea to Sikandari maritime trade. Such a statement is concerning for Shahdara and should be for many governments, as the Long Sea trade route is the main avenue through which Sikandari oil tankers make their way to the ports of the western world. A closure of this maritime lane of traffic would be very dangerous for the stability of the international price of oil and would be, in our opinion, an illegal occupation of international seas by the Carentanian Military. As a major oil producer, Sikandara requires open lines for maritime trade to conduct a vast majority of its business. While we can divert other cargo ships to use other, safer routes, the closure of the Long Sea would delay oil shipments across the western Germanic and Gallic region. While the Empire of Sikandara does not have any formal agreement with this organisation, we would like to consult with representatives of this group to resolve the issue of securing international lanes of maritime trade. We seek an urgent response. Rustam Ghaznavi Grand Councillor for Diplomatic Affairs |
