The Barca Stock Exchange is one of the worlds largest Stock markets. Though operated by an independent public company the Barca Stock Exchange is recognized by the Alliance for a Greater Europe as it's primary stock exchange, large companies from AGE countries being encouraged to get listed in Barca. The Financial Times publishes a number of important stock market indices based on companies with their primary listing being in Barca.

OOC: Mkay, this is my attempt to replicate Miguel's/Azores success with the Mercoburg Exchange. In the coming week I hope to make a google docs file and form, allowing you to include companies into this thing. In this thread you can post short updates on your companies (for example year figures, but also rumors about increasing debts or something like that) and based on that a new update for the stock market is written up. I wish to emphasize that the Barca Stock Exchange is not limited to the AGE.

Skånske Aeroplan AB (Saab)

The Scanian Aeroplane Ltd, is one the largest aircraft producers, specialising in small to medium sized commercial aircraft. It is also a major defense contractor within the realms on aerospace defense. Major products in include the JAS 39 Gripen, Saab 2000 and Erieye Airborne Early Warning and Control System. The company is headquartered in Nystrå and is listed on the Målmöholm and Barca Stock Exchanges under the symbol SAAB.

Koenigsegg Automotive AB

The Koenigsegg Automotive Ltd, is a premier car manufactorer in Lundholm designing and manufacturing luxury cars for the European market. As of this article, Koenigsegg is currently in the process of completing the process of buying Saabs' automative division. Since opening its doors in 1999, Koenigsegg has seen rapid expansion and its in the process of opening offices across the AGE and EDF economies. It is listed on the Målmöholm and Barca exchanges under the symbol KOEA.

Skånskbank AB

Skånskbank was founded by the Kunglig Nordiska Handelsföretag in 1610 to fund and maintain its' accounts. During the Golden Age of the Trading Company, Skånskbank's presence in increased substantially. Today, it is the largest bank in Scania and continues its foreign-oriented outlook with branches and subsidiaries across the world. In 1994, the KNH turned the company public in an IPO on the Målmöholm and Barca exchanges and it now trades under the symbol SKBA.

Skånskoil is the largest natural gas producer in Scania as well as a major oil producers. Having a monopoly on extraction of natural gas and oil from the off-shore reserves that are rich around Scania, the companies profits are very high. The Government in 1999 privatised the company while remaining a golden share and 65% voting stock within the company and floating the rest during an IPO on the Målmöholm and Barca Exchanges. The company trades under the symbol SKOL.

Formossa Petrol is the biggest Levantine petroleum company. The company's main business is the exploration for and the production, processing, transportation, and marketing of hydrocarbons. Coming about from the merger of several oil companies during the 1970's, the last number of decades has shown steady growth for Formossa, it's gas stations becoming a common site across the Levant.

A media conglomerate found by Media Mogul Isaac Romans, RMG has grown into the largest media company in the Levant since his death. The RMG portfolio includes publications such as the Financial Times, the Weekly International. RMG also has the exclusive live television rights for the national Levantine football league, and controls a number of tv stations.

Agostí Defense is a multinational aerospace manufacturer, global security and advanced technology company former in the late 80's and based in Tiflis, the Levantine States. One of the World's largest defense contractors, it receives a majority of it revenue from the Levantine military and other customers, mostly included in AGE.

An important financial services provider headquartered in Barca, the Levantine States. Rosenblum Almaguer serves a diversified group of corporations, governments, financial institutions, and individuals. The corporation, formed by Simon Rosenblum came into being in 1937. The main areas of business for the firm today are Global Wealth Management, Institutional Securities and Investment Management.

As opposed to Rosenblum Almaguer, the First Carthaginian Bank is aimed towards retail banking. Traditionally strong in the Northern Levant, and especially in Phoenicia, Judea and Carthage it has recently been expanding into the southern Levant, which has historically been less well off, this expansion has had mixed success, but investment is starting to pay off with significant market shares being consolidated in the states of Gilgamesh and Kazan.

The biggest Levantine airliner, LS Airways possesses a fleet of 200 airliners and active as both a national and international airliner. Based in a suburb of Antioch, some of it's most busy lines are to the Scanian States and the American Union. Nationally, the Antioch-Barca line is busy, although since the opening of two tunnels, including a high-speed train connection, going to Barca this line has faced increased competition.

The oldest bank in the nation, it was established in 1856 by the merger of Masette Bank and Banque de Thase. The bank is headquartered in Marseilles and has active foreign operations in Anglia, Wiese, The Confederate States and many of the EDF nations. In 1968, the bank branched out into Investment banking and management. The bank's stocks were first floated at the Barca Stock Exchange in 1996 and it trades under the symbol BATH.​

Petro-Bel Corp

PetroBel Corporation is a petroleum refining and exploration firm. Founded in 1972 by Armand Pettal, the company has become the sole refiner of Belmont and processes millions of tons of crude oil and refines it into several petroleum by-products. The company exports tar and wax to many countries across the world. The company refines 43% of all oil imported to Belmont. The company trades under the symbol PTBC.​

Groupe Limagrain

Groupe Limagrain was established in 1916 and is the market leader in Belmontien agricultural exports. The company deals solely in the export of whole grains (wheat, barley, maize and oat), corn & potatoes. The company is well established in Belmont and its output accounts for majority of wholegrain exports, from Belmont, to many nations across the world. The company trades under the symbol GTLC.
