BOARD OF COMPANIES HOUSE
A DEPARTMENT OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE PUBLIC BOARD OF TRADE

The Board of Companies House is the Engellexian Republic's registrar of companies and is an executive agency and trading fund of the Council of State. It falls under the remit of the Secretary of State of the Public Board of Trade (PBT) and is also a constituent member of the Engellexian Republic Congress of Trade (ERCT). All forms of companies (as permitted by Acts of the Republic legislation from the Senate and Bare Commons) are incorporated and registered with the Board of Companies House and file specific details as required by the current Companies and Enterprises Act 1905. All registered limited companies, including subsidiary, small and inactive companies, must file annual financial statements in addition to annual company returns, which are all public records. Only some registered unlimited companies (meeting certain conditions) are exempt from this requirement.

The Engellexian Republic has had a system of company registration since 1859. The legislation governing company registration matters is the Companies and Enterprises Act 1905.

The Joint Stock Companies Act 1859 permitted the incorporation of joint-stock companies, previously only possible by the mechanisms of Charter of the Republic or Acts of the Republic, which had meant few companies were formed. The act therefore required that all companies formed under it were recorded on a public register, and created the department of the Board of Companies House to be responsible for maintaining the register.

The Registrar of the Board of Companies House for Engellex, and Chief Executive of Companies House Engell Himyar is Sir Anthony Buldock. His office is based at Companies House in Hammersmith.

The Board of Companies House is also utilised as an executive agency to supervise any and all interests the Engellexian Republic Parliament may hold directly in an Engell company, with its supervisory provision observed and controlled by the Secretary of State of the Public Board of Trade. The Engellexian Republic Parliament has a direct and majority participation in three Engell companies as of 19th September 1956, with a final workforce over two-hundred thousand workers. It also has competences in the Engell State of Somers Islands, as a directly governed territory of the Engellexian Republic Parliament, granted as of 19th September 1956. Equally, it oversees minority direct shareholdings in eight Engell companies, as of 19th September 1956, also on behalf of the Engellexian Republic Parliament.

The Board of Companies House maintains its headquarters in Toyou House in Hammersmith, and delegated regional offices within Dulwich, Elephant and Castle, Babbage, and Henrietta.

Presently organized into the following categories are some of the constituent companies that belong to the Financial Journal Stock Exchange Index 100 (FJSE 100) a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hammersmith Stock Exchange, as of 19th September 1956, taking into account the activity and the functions which these companies carry out :-

REPUBLIC STAR LINE

When the first REPUBLIC STAR LINER, back in the early eighteen-twenties, made her way into Henrietta - Engell State of Mary-le-Bone, she was acclaimed the wonder of her time. Since that day, Republic Star Line leadership has been demonstrated again and again. Today when one of the famous Republic Star Liners passes the Battery, she represents but one unit of the Company’s fleet, which remains unsurpassed in construction, magnificence of passenger accommodation, cuisine, service, and general management.

The Fastest Passenger Service in the World.

COMPANY NEWS :- THE NEW REPUBLIC STAR LINER

The IMPLARIA, the third of the Republic Star Line company’s leviathans, which will be taken over from her builders, Hammersmith East Dockyards Company, Thames bank, Hammersmith, at Hammersmith today, is a noble addition to the Engellexian Republic’s naval architecture and prowess, and from her successful maiden trials, which finished at Hammersmith yesterday, she will do much to maintain (if not increase) the highest reputation of the Republic Star Line.

It has been growing apparent for some time that third class passengers by rail and steamer alike are being educated up to a high standard with respect to accommodation and general comfort, and in the Implaria the Republic Star Line has made a departure in this respect which so far is unequalled. The Implaria, while maintaining a satisfactory rate of spread is yet capable of combining high-class passenger accommodation with great cargo capacity, and the passenger arrangements diff from the older class of liner by the special attention given in the second class and steerage voyages.

The Implaria over all is 1020ft long, and has a breadth of 181ft. She is 81,000 tons gross, has a depth of 120ft, and her dead weight carrying capacity up to 80,000 tons, her measurement capacity running up to 82,000 tons, giving a displacement of 84,000 tons. The Implaria, the contract for which is to be finalised within the next three months, will embark upon her first trip between Hammersmith and Toyou in January 1957.

WOOLWICH REPUBLIC ARSENAL

Woolwich Republic Arsenal, an Engell subsidiary company of the Engellexic Thaumantic Company, is a defence, security and armaments company. Its headquarters are in Dulwich in the Engellexian Republic and it has operations and productions throughout Gallia-Germania and Himyar. It is among the Republic's largest defence contractors; it was ranked as the first-largest based on applicable 1952 revenues. Its largest operations are in Angellex and Gewissex, where it remains the largest supplier of armaments and land systems to the First Republic Army. Other major productions include Otho-Eam, and Somers Islands. The company was formed in 1665, and the present reach and diversity of the company was achieved through the acquisitions of other smaller arsenals within the Republic over the past two hundred years.

As a successor to a number of smaller companies, the Woolwich Republic Arsenal has acquired expertise in the research, design, and manufacture of military aircraft, main battle tanks, armoured vehicles, armaments and defence electronics. Acquired companies include the Witworth Signals Company, the first commercial company devoted to the development and use of radio; A.V. Roe and Company, one of Europe's first aircraft companies; Lennox, manufacturer of the Gloster Meteor, the Republic's first jet fighter; Engellexic Electric, co-manufacturer of the Republic's second jet fighter; Bournemouth Arsenal, builder of the Comet main battle tank.

Woolwich Republic Arsenal is involved in several major defence projects, including the Beefeater main battle tank, and the Engell Lightning fighter jet. Woolwich Republic Arsenal is listed on the Hammersmith Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FJSE 100 Index.

BEEFEATER Mk. 10 Main Battle Tank

Price :- £38,000

The Beefeater, introduced in 1945, remains the primary Engellexic main battle tank of the mid-twentieth century period. It is widely considered to be one of the most successful contemporary tank designs, with production expansions taking place from the summer of 1956 and proposed further production expansions in 1957, and seeing combat in the front lines of Himyar during the early 1950s. The chassis was also adapted for several other roles, and these are also within production and service.

Development of the tank began in 1943 and manufacture of the Beefeater began in January 1946, six prototypes arriving in Otho-Eam less than six months after production began in June 1946. It first entered combat with the First Republic Army in 1950, as the successor to the Comet main battle tank. The Beefeater later served in the Frontier Skirmishes of Himyar of the early 1950s, where it proved successful and was designated to succeed as the MBT of the First Continental Army (Himyar) in Otho-Eam, Camden, and Mary-le-Bone.

Main armament of the Beefeater Mk 10 is the Republic Ordnance 105 mm L7A2 rifled tank gun which is provided with a fume extractor. It has an effective range of 1,800 m with APDS-T rounds or between 3,000 and 4,000 m using HESH. A well-trained crew can fire 8 rds/ min. The weapon is normally aimed using a 12.7 mm (0.50) ranging machine gun mounted coaxially with the main armament which has a maximum range of 1,800 m and fires in three-round bursts using tracer ammunition. The gun is fully stabilised and the gunner can select any one of the following modes of operation: manual elevation and traverse, non-stabilised power traverse, stabilised powered elevation and traverse or emergency, single-speed power traverse.

The 105 mm gun fires the following types of ammunition, all of which are of the fixed type with the projectile securely attached to a brass cartridge case which contains the propellant and initiated by an electric primer: APDS-T (L28A1), APDS-T (L52A1), APFSDS-T (L64 ), DS/T (L45A1), HESH (L37) and Smoke (L39), all manufactured by Republic Ordnance.

Mounted coaxially to the left of the main armament is a 7.62 mm (0.30) machine gun and there is a similar weapon on the commander's cupola for anti-aircraft use. Six electrically operated smoke grenade dischargers are mounted either side of the turret.
