After the death of King Leonardi II at age 81 early Saturday morning, public protests against the monarchy broke out all across the country.

The well known Socialist movement United Workers of Boluxia was quick to act and they had already staged a massive gathering outside the House of Governance in downtown Nordburg, and late last night they succeeded in breaking into the building and taking control of the country. Former politicians were ordered to stand down or face arrest, which resulted in little resistance.

Movement Leader Francis Tuovic was declared De Facto leader of the Country, and significant headway has already been made to improving human rights and political freedoms, with all freedom of speech laws being repealed, and regional democracies have already been put into place.

The new administration is asking for other countries to recognize the new government as the sole legitimate government of all 8 states of Boluxia, and peaceful support is expected by all Boluxian citizens.

Chairman of the Worker's Revolutionary Party, Jacques Contee

Monarchism is the cruel invention of men in tin hats, and with the death of King Leonardi II, Moskilde proudly salutes the demise of tyranny in Boluxia. With the energy of proletariat revolution still vagrant in the air of our own nation, allow Moskilde to congratulate yet another socialist victory elsewhere in the world.

Boluxia, On Behalf of the Sinhai Union

We wish to send our sympathies to the family of King Leonardi II, and are deeply sorry for their loss. The death of any respectable leader should be accompanied with a customary day of mourning, which has apparently not been afforded to this individual in accordance with socialist anti-Monarchist views. The lack of respect for the death of any citizen, be they a worker or a King, is regrettable.

The Sinhai Union will make no decision concerning recognition of the new political parties legitimacy until we have been given time to review the new Boluxian regime's policy. The Unity Party, however, will send it's praise to UWB for it's liberalization of human rights and political freedoms.

Sincerely,
Arun Iyengar

It is a sad day when the passing of a national leader, be he or she monarch, president, or prime minister, is not respected with a day or mourning, but instead tarnished by revolution, let alone communist revolution. We shall refuse to recognize the legitimacy of this government over Boluxia, and send our deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased Leonardi II.

Sincerely,
Giuseppe Emmanuel

Head Chairman Francis Tuovic has ordered an official state funeral be held for King Leonardi II, as well as providing protection for the family if they choose to stay in the country. However it is not likely they will stay given the circumstances. The new government has not had a chance to prepare new state holidays yet, but it is expected a day of mourning will be held yearly for the usually benevolent King, who was well respected, despite political differences.

We congratulate Boluxia on the glorious, and surprisingly peaceful revolution. We would like to extend an invitation to Francis Tuovic so that he may visit Freistadt. It will give Boluxia the chance to see the Freiheitian brand of Communism.

The Central Council of Boluxia today voted unanimously in favor of the Boluxian Language Recognition Act, which is new legislation designed to provide equal language opportunities for both the largely English speaking Bolonese, and the mostly Serbian Speaking Luxem Community. King Leonardi II was a Bolonesian who made it clear that English would remain the country's sole language, despite a large Serbian Speaking community. The new legislation means that all Boluxians will be able to receive Government service in both languages, and all road signs and public transport will be required to display both languages Head Chairman Francis Tuovic made it clear that this legislation was one of his main priorities, as well as one of the reasons for his support of the revolution, as he is a speaker of both languages.

The new design represents the eight states of Boluxia united together for the common good. The traditional Blue and Yellow were deemed unconstitutional in that they represented the monarchy system rather than the people.

PLAN FOR PARLIAMENT TO BE REVEALED

The Central Council also announced today they would soon be revealing the new constitution of Boluxia and the new Parliamentary system to be put into place later this year.
Head Chairman Francis Tuovic announced Presidential elections would be held as soon as the new constitution is implemented, and then Political Parties would be allowed to announce candidates for the first Prime Minister. Francis also stated that Direct Democracy would be a main part of the constitution and it will be the only item that cannot be contested.

From the Foreign Ministry

Though we are happy that Boluxia now has a consitution and a stable nation as well as elections, but this talk of enforcing socialism across the world is a little unsettling for us and I am sure for many others. As long as the Boluxian government is not pushing the ideology on anyone or planning some sort of full-scale communist campaign across the world, then we do wish you well on the modernization of your nation.

Sincerely,
Malcolm MacQuarry
Foreign Minister

Anti-Socialist fighting in South West Boluxia

A group of around 100 Anti-Socialist rebels fought their way into the city capital building in Fort Alexei, SWB, and they took control of the building killing 6 Parliament members in the process. The flag of the Boluxian Resistance (See Bottom) was flown on the flagpole adorning the top of the building, and the 8 Starred red flag was seen being burned on the front lawn of the building.

Multiple other militia forces have attacked various military and political forces around South West Boluxia, and Commander Gregori Fontaine says he will be pulling his troops out of the state if violence continues. Prime Minister Alfred Capropoulos has declared a state of emergency in the country, and the parliament has been controversially disbanded, leaving Alfred as the sole leader of the country. All in all, citizens all around the country are showing disapproval of the government's dealing with the rebellion.

We are worried about the signs that reactionary violence may weaken the democratic achievements of the revolution and hope that the situation is solved as soon as possible.

The Empire will continue to monitor the situation in Fort Alexei closely. We recommend Commander Fontaine for his farsighted announcement that could prevent the loss of further lives and hope for a peaceful resolution of the political disagreements in Boluxia.

BREAKING NEWS: Rebels push UAFB Forces out of Southern Boluxia

After Rebel fighting began in South West Boluxia earlier this week, the council of the USSB has announced that Rebel forces have push the Socialist Government out of the 4 Southern States of Boluxia, effectively splitting the country between two factions. Little is known about the militia, except that they are an Anti-Socialist faction that wishes to turn Boluxia into a Federal Republic. After this weeks military scramble, it appears the well armed and possible foreign armed militia is edging ever closer to achieving their goals. The mood of citizens in the Socialist North seems to be leaning towards the Anti-Socialist Militia, and strong support in the south.
