Liberdade Stock Market to reopen on monday
Imprensa Nacional do Brazul

In an unexpected announcement, the Liberdade Stock Market declared it would reopen coming monday, giving investors a little over a day to prepare. According to officials, the short time frame was chosen deliberately and the date of the reopening kept secret until exchanges across Europe had closed for the weekend in order to limit the impact of speculation and possibly intentional manipulation in advance.

The Liberdade Stock Market, a bourse of international renown, had been closed down for almost half a year now, following a fire in late April that led to the destruction of the building. Ultimately, arson could be ruled out by investigators, who blamed faulty wiring in the historical building for fire. During its downtime, Brazulian traders and companies evaded to major stock markets in foreign countries, giving them a commercial boost that is sure to subside with the return of Brazuls major exchange.

While the fire ravaged much of the historical 18th century building and it was initially believed that the landmark would have to be torn down, constructors were able to salvage most of the historical facade and incorporate it into a new structure, saving the appearance of the Avenida do Cómercio and Liberdades historical downtown as a whole.

However, much of the documentation was destroyed during the fire. For this reason, managers of the Liberdade Stock Market have announced that the reopening of the market will require renewed registration from traders and companies wishing to trade stocks in Liberdade.

Protestors clash with police at Pelasgian embassy
O Verdad

Protests at the Pelasgian embassy in Liberdade have ended violently, when police was attacked and the demonstration dispersed. According to a spokesperson of the Gendarmaria, the protestors violently resisted arrests of suspicious individuals that had been spotted within the crowd by throwing bottles at the police force scuring the area. Police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets, ending the protest and dispersing the crowd. No police officer was harmed.

The protest had been called by Zionist groups in response to statements by the Pelasgian government which were seen as a rejection of Jewish ties to the holy land. Pelasgian authorities had denounced plans by the Jewish Congress of Nedernesia to fund trips, called birthright, for young Jews to reaffirm their ancestral ties to the city of Jerusalem and the surrounding lands. According to the Pelasgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, only Pelasgian citizens can claim a "birthright" to the land, a statement that had sparked furious outcry from several Jewish groups across Europe.

However, according to the Gendarmaria, members of Jewish groups were a minority at the violent protest in Liberdade. "The majority of protestors could be identified as members of extremist, Post-Delegationist groups," the spokesperson commented.

State of Tiburia
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Public Statement

Propontis, 22 October 2019
To Whom it May Concern,

The State of Tiburia condemns the unacceptable displays of barbarism by fanatical groups outside our diplomatic mission in Liberdade. We would like to thank the authorities of the Republic of the Azure River Bay for their assistance in protecting our Embassy from these radicals.

The State of Tiburia does not deny and never has denied the spiritual, ancestral, cultural and historical ties of various Jewish groups to the Holy Land. However, we reject any claims of a right or birthright to that land that seek to negate the legitimate right of the indigenous Philistaeans. As these Philistaeans are citizens of Tiburia, our State has a duty to guarantee their rights.

Regarding the large-scale presence of post-delegationist radicals at these clashes, the Government of Tiburia intends to keep a closer eye upon these dangers ideologues in the future, given their displays of hostility against our State.

Signed and sealed,

Petros K. Lazarides
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Government of Tiburia

Liberdade to consider import ban on Folxmashin
Imprensa Nacional do Brazul

In the ongoing row between Eiffelländer car manufacturers and the Polesian company Folxmashin over copyright violations, Liberdade has now announced it is taking a stance. Having evaluated the accusations raised against Folxmashin and with lawsuits being raised against the company at Brazulian courts, the President of Commerce has said that the government is considering an import ban on Polesian cars.

Such an import ban should not be seen merely as defense of the free market from lawless communist state dictatorships, the Chamber of Commerce noted, but also as a protective measure for domestic car manufacturing against the unfair advantage Folxmashin is earning by copying designs developed with the money earned by other companies.

"Today they are copying Eiffelland, but how long, before they begin ignoring Brazulian patents?"

Brazuls biggest banks drive small landowners into bankruptcy
A Estrela Azul

For over a year now, small landowners in Brazul have chafed under increasingly restrictive policies by Brazuls major banks. Citing growing risks for small landowners in Brazuls agricultural market, which is dominated by major companies, it has been increasingly difficult for independent farmers to receive the necessary loans for continued investments and modernization and increasingly, farmers have warned that the next bad harvest could mean bankruptcy altogether.

Sources within Brazuls banking sector, however, have spoiled the fact that this is not an unfortunate developement driven by market forces, but rather a deliberate policy employed on the initiative of the Banco Thaumantico. As part of the Campinas Conglomerate, the bank seemingly acts in service of its agricultural branches, seeking to monopolize landownership in Brazul.

It is unclear, what deal has been struck so that both the Banco Brazul and the Banco Dourado have joined the Thaumantico in its relentless assault on independent landownership. Traditionally, both banks, as part of competing conglomerates, have sought to undermine attempts at land speculation by the Banco Thaumantico. The sudden cooperation between the conglomerates could spell certain doom for small landowners in the country.

In the face of such business practices, it is clear what is needed: independent organization of all citizens in Post-Delegationist organizations, revolution and a comprehensive land reform.

Police Raids Post-Delegationist Newspaper
O Verdad

Police forces have raided the offices of the Estrela Azul newspaper, following a lawsuit by Brazuls major banks. The minor newspaper, which is ideologically associated to the post-delegationist movement, had published a report in November claiming that Brazulian banks were secretely cooperating to bankrupt smallscale landowners throughout the country. Claims the Brazulian banking sector has strongly denied.

Fearing loss of profits in the range of millions of dolars, the Banco Brazul led the offensive against the small newspaper, suing for defamation and demanding recompense for the damage done to Brazulian businesses through the reports. Both the Banco Dourado and the Banco Thaumantico have joined the lawsuit and the Estrela Azul has claimed that, even without taking into account the possibility of having to pay recompense for lost profits, the lawsuit threatens to bankrupt the small newspaper.

Meanwhile, state attorney Mario Werner ordered the police search of the office and the confiscation of computers and paperwork relating to the case. The state attorney claims that the story published by the Estrela Azul may have been in fact a foreign attempt to subvert the Brazulian nation. "I have opened up an investigation into the cae and while I have my suspicions, I will not speculate publically on the perpetrators behind this misinformation campaign," Werner commented.

The Ulkoministeriö finds the actions as described by O Verdad to be a horrible display of the corruption within the deepest levels of the Brazulian State. The orders of State Attorney Mario Werner are seen as a gross abuse of power and an attack upon the free speech rights that all humans should hold dear.

Pohjanmaa and its inhabitants are outraged by these developments and call into question the government practice and abilities to conduct free commerce in Brazul. These developments will have all free peoples doubtful of their freedoms in Brazul based upon their political beliefs.

The Commonwealth will launch an investigation into whether or not there is likely to be any economic consequences on the basis of these events and the attacks upon those who believe in Post-Delegationism and the liberty and democracy enshrined upon it. Until the investigation is complete, trade and channels will remain open with the Brazul, afterward the Eduskunta (Parliament) may decide on the course of action thereafter.

President Serra Chastises Pohjanmaa
O Globo

The Brazulian President has harshly chastised the Pohjanmaan government, following a public statement made by Pohjanmaan Foreign Minisiter Venla Säkkinen in support of the Estrela Azul. After the small newspaper, known as post-delegationist mouthpiece, became the target of an ongoing investigation, the Pohjanmaan government attacked the Brazulian state as a whole, speaking of "corruption within the deepest levels of the Brazulian State".

President Serra has called the comments "wholly inappropriate" and "widely out of place", reminding his Pohjanmaan counterparts that Brazul is still a proud of its democratic traditions, including independence of the law. "The state attorney will not bow to attempts by any government to influence his decisions, and much less a foreign one," the President said, noting that his government was committed to maintaining the rule of law in Brazul and advising Pohjanmaa to refrain from any further attempts at influencing the course of the investigations.

"Minister Säkkinen should reconsider whether a few good boy points with its Post-Delegationist allies are worth antagonizing the whole of the Brazulian nation."

We need a Crusade for Life

Cruz da Esperança

Recent news from Madurja may have put your hearts at ease. So, at least, it was for me, when I heard that the Camara has upheld the ban on abortions. Yet, when I heard how close the decision was, my heart fell. So it did when I remembered the many loopholes and exceptions the existing law still makes. And I wondered: should christendom really be content with just that? Defending the status quo?

A status quo, mind you, that still sees the murder of innocent children each day.

I could not call myself a good Christian if I were to accept this fact as merely lamentable. It is a global evil that compels us to action on a global scale. We, as Christians, must push the governments of Europe, force their hands to act in charity towards the unborn children of this world. Not merely react to the offensives of the sinners and blasphemers, the enemies of family and mankind, but seek to protect the sanctity of life by enshrining its protection.

We need to make sure that such laws as the one insidious circles had tried to push in Madurja do not merely fail in parliament, but that they never make it to such votes in the first place, that laws calling for the death of children are not material for public discussion. And we need to broaden the protection of these children and their mothers, protect them from the murderous claws of those that tell them they do not deserve to live if they have been conceived under the wrong circumstances, that a mother could not love her child if her father was not good to her - and whatever else falsehoods they may peddle in an attempt to erode the laws of god.

Thus I ask you, fellow believers, to join me in a Crusade for Life, in a public campaign that seeks to end this murderous campaign against our children. To take to the streets, wherever on the world you may be, and let your country know that abortion is not merely a personal failure, not merely a sin to be confessed to your priest and atoned for with a few ave marias. No, it is the organized murder of our future, a campaign so vile and evil, it deserves our undivided attention and righteous anger.

Signed,

Benedict Louis Taft
