GOVERNMENT OF SERENIERRE
COMMISSARIAT FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

17. Avril. 1957

It is the official stance of the People's Republic that the situation in Borovanger is becoming untenable and there is a serious need for the various hostile forces operating in the country to come together in a neutral venue to negotiate, at the very least, a temporary ceasefire aimed at allowing civilians caught in between the fighting to be provided for and rescued by international humanitarian organisations.

It is our formal and official request to the Governments of Nichtstein, Aegada, Winfrew, Telora, and Zanzibar to form a multilateral international committee charged with the organisation of coordinating humanitarian relief for the peoples of Borovanger and to work towards bringing the hostile factions to negotiate a settlement aimed at ending or stopping the hostilities. The Government of Serenierre believes that there is a possibility for peace, provided, the international community attempts to exert a unified positive effort on the Borovanger Civil War.

The People's Republic of Serenierre furthermore calls on the Governments of Geotri, @Korystria, Borovanger, and on the leadership of the Revolutionary Guards and the Prometheist leadership in Borovanger to be open to whatever overture is made by members of the international community.
