freakish winter storm blasts Golarsen

On Thursday Golarsen experienced a rather rare winter blast with heavy snowfall downpouring on the city all day. Reports of up to 7 inches were measured around the North Golarsen and West Golarsen Heights areas yesterday, and the Presidential Manor reported around 6 inches of snow. All government offices and schools were closed across the region, and the airport as well as the train stations cancelled trips going in and out of the city. With temperatures to remain below freezing all next week, the snow is expected to remain. Sand trucks have been out today in an attempt to reduce sliding on the roads and sidewalks, but many accidents were still reported across the metro area yesterday. One fatal crash killed a woman of 62 years and a man of 49, and five were reported injured and taken to the emergency room. Government offices will reopen on Saturday and schools will reopen on Monday.

anarchists protest in Rellispen City

Mass protests by the anarchist group Liberation Centralia have taken place outside the Rellispen City Hall after the mayor announced the raising of sales taxes of up to 11%, among the highest in the region. The group called for an end to ridiculous taxes as well as for the release of jailed prominent anarchist leader Malary Volitza, who was jailed for reportedly vandalizing the city hall and other government property last Saturday. Volitza is also facing fines of up to $DD 500 for the vandalization. The protests began at around 6:00 Friday morning with hundreds waving red and black flags as well as huge banners with the letter A and the circle around it, a prominent symbol of anarchy.

tensions rising between Valkany and Portusgalia?

The Central Centralian government has been closely analyzing the activities and threats between Valkany and Portusgalia, and has ordered the ambassadors to temporarily return home, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reports. The Central Centralian government has called for peace talks between both countries and hopes to use the advantage of being one of the few countries to have embassies in both Portusgalia and Valkany to engage talks between the two countries and avoid armed conflict. Through diplomatic relations the Central Centralian government hopes to ease the rather bellicose rhetoric between both countries and soothe tensions between both countries.

the University of Central Centralia announces breakthrough discovery in cancer cure research

The University of Central Centralia's medical research laboratory announced that they were able to ''defeat cancer in a test snail'' using specially modified genes from an exotic fish species. This discovery may lead to advancement on finding a cure in humans, the lab reports. However, the snail also faced moderate intoxication from the treatment, signifying that this cure still has ways to go.

This is not valid, for all the world Portusgalia and Valkany are in good relations. The tensions are a kind of small "Cold War", if your press ask to a Valkanian or Portusgalian politician about the situation they all say it is fine and they adore each other.

If it is propaganda or sensasionalist news, man... Thats different ;)

deadly twister hits Jalapala suburbs

The Jalapala region was bombarded with severe thunderstorms on Sunday which spurred four twisters in a rare warm spell, one of which slammed right into the eastern suburbs and killed five, including two children. The lack of weather shelters in this part of the city brought protests the next day to the mayor, who in a statement released on Monday said that he would attend the funerals of the five victims and offered deepest condolences to the families. The mayor also promised to construct larger and more sturdy weather shelters throughout the city.

Central Centralia officially added to world map with new borders

Last week Central Centralia literally was "placed on the map" by cartographers in Cantignia working to accurately provide global maps throughout the world. The Central Centralian government recently expressed gratitude to the Cantignian workers for their hard work and on placing the country on the world map. So far, neighboring nations that share borders with Central Centralia are yet to be documented and added to the map.

government to seek ban of Right Way group

The centrist group known as Right Way is under fire as reports coming out from the group indicate signs of a right-leaning political group, which are banned in Central Centralia due to the laws enacted after Civil War of 1927. Intelligence reports that "the leaders of Right Way have strong sentiments for restoring a strong military and seek to establish a leadership which shows signs of dictatorship, and seeks to condemn minority groups such as the Yalozoolians," the reports say. Right Way is a group headed by mainly Mitronian men who have been under fire for their notions towards racism and aggressivism. A petition was made by Yalozoolians across the nation to ban the group, and has gained wide popularity throughout the country. The petition has gained enough signatures to reach the president's desk, and is now awaiting approval. If the petition is signed, then new laws will be enacted to bring Right Way down to its knees and shut down another proven conservative group.

talks between ambassadors and president finalize; ambassadors set to return to their countries

President Calovva Telnizki and the ambassadors of Valkany and Portusgalia are set to return to their countries after the President called them home after rumors of conflict between the two countries. "The situation has now been cleared", says the president, "and in reality there is no real conflict, so the ambassadors will return to their countries". The ambassador to Valkany will arrive in Valkany in time for their royal wedding, and the ambassador to Portusgalia will return later in the week.

Central Centralia set to construct yet two more football stadiums

The Ministry of Sports unveiled new design concepts to build yet two more international standard football stadiums, which will be used in future tournaments; the first will be built on the island of Paraxia, which is known for its lush beautiful forests and its exotic wildlife. The stadium will be built in Pora, the main town on the island. The second stadium will be built on the mainland, in Sezarra, which is located on the northern shores. These two stadiums are yet to be named and will each hold a capacity of 75,000 and 82,500 respectively.

executions of rebels in Valkany stirs protests by central government

Valkany has recently annouced the execution of rebel leaders in the country, which troubled Central Centralian officials. This movement called the attention of the President and held a telephone conference with the ambassador to Valkany, who says that all is well but the ambassador did not wish for the executions to happen. Central Centralia, one of the first countries to abolish capital punishment, stands against the executions of the rebels in Valkany and wishes for the Valkanian government to seek a more humane treatment of its rebels. Although they demonstrate against the government, and perhaps in a violent way, the Central Centralian government shared its opinions on the better treatment of the rebels in Valkany and suggested that if they must be punished, that they do so by sentencing to prison rather than execution.

Central Centralia signs international resolution on genocide; will attend Cathiopian conference

Recently the Cathiopian government has created a resolution which has been widely popular to the appeasment of many, and Central Centralia has signed this resolution in light of its own beliefs of civil equality. The treatment of the Himyari people by Valkany has called international attention as Cathiopia looks to put an end to this mistreatment, and the Central Centralian government stands with Cathiopia for the reason to end the inhumane treatment of the Himyars in the Eastern Cape by the Valkanians. Also, Central Centralia will be represented in a historical conference in Cathiopia which will discuss the possible decolonization process in the Eastern Cape, as well as the improvement of the treatment of the Himyars. The government of Central Centralia stands against the actions of Valkany and thus has decided to attend this conference in Cathiopia for the better treatment of the natives in the Eastern Cape.

Valkany joins the European Football League

Valkany has recently been in the international spotlight with the concerns about the Eastern Cape and in other cases, and sports is not excluded from their attention. Valkany jumped into the EFL as they look to show peace and cooperation with other nations from around the world, as is the broader goal of the EFL. The Valkanian team currently leads a tight Group 4 as all four teams in this group are contenders for qualification. Valkany arrived this Wednesday into Central Centralia to begin training for their next match this weekend.

Central Centralia now included in Central Occidentia region, thanks to professional cartographers

Professional cartographers have been hard at work in making global maps, as they have recently released an updated version of the world map. Now, they have made a global map which includes regions around the world in order to avoid confusion of which country is in which region. Many thanks for the cartographers in Ivernia and Cantignia for their hard work.

government officially bans Right Way political movement

The Central Centralian Court of Justice banned the political movement known as Right Way for its alleged conservative views, including persecuting other minority groups and rebuilding armed forces in the country. The group violates the Abolishment Acts, which abolished the army permanently as well as "any group, official or nonofficial, that seeks to reinstate these horrible establishments of violence and unequality" which bans virtually most conservative groups. The leaders of this movement will not face trial as long as they do not create or engage in anymore right-leaning activities.

Cathiopia proposes decolonization efforts in the Himyar region; Central Centralia agrees and will attend conference

Cathiopia recently made four proposals for the decolonization of the Eastern Cape, which has gained worldwide attention and has gained supporters as well as a few who reject this proposal, namely, Valkany who has colonies of their own in this region as well as Portusgalia. Cathiopia has recently been working with other nations to bring fair treatment and equal rights to the natives in the Himyar region. They will also host a conference in Cathiopia to discuss the proposals and work to eventually free the region and give the Himyar people the rights that every human deserves. Central Centralia has announced that they will attend this conference and will activiely embrace all four proposals set forth by Cathiopia.

Central Centralia drops to third in the EFL

Round 10 of the EFL brought victories to many teams and secured qualification for at least four teams, but Central Centralia was not able to take home a win and now trails behind the Fennian Union and risks elimination. Central Centralia has not been below second place in their group for the whole tournament and now with a shocking loss to the Fennian Union now faces elimination unless they are able to take home a victory this week. There are only two rounds left in the EFL and the next two matches will be the most vital rounds in the tournament.

Valkany reduces sentences of prisoners amid protests from Central Centralian government

To the pleasure of the Central Centralian government, Valkany has reduced many of the sentences of rebels in the country from execution to life in prison. While the rebels will be locked behind bars for the rest of their life, this move pleased the central government because Valkany had chosen to regard the lives of the rebels and rather than ending their lives short they will at least have the opportunity to live. However, the Valkanian government announced that there will be one execution of a rebel by hanging in public, and this has spurred protests because the Valkanian government chose to resort to barbaric practices once again rather than regard the life of a human being. Nevertheless, Central Centralia is somewhat pleased for the sentence reduction of the other rebels.

new elections for Pope to be held; Cardinal Sizan Werter is placed on ballot for Pope

Elections for a new Pope are going to be held soon, and this has brought worldwide attention as many yearn for a new revival in the Church and look to support a reformist Pope. In a recent poll in Central Centralia, 77% of votes preferred a reformist and liberal pope while only 19% wanted a conservative pope. 4% said that they did not care which way it went. The Church in Central Centralia will support Cardinal Sizan Werter of the Archdiocese of Golarsen, and through his actions of working with the poor and simplifying the church in this nation he has gained massive popularity and has helped bring back many to the Catholic Church. Cardinal Sizan Werter will be among other cardinals on a ballot that will go up for elections for pope.

re-elections for pope being held

Recently votes were cast for a new pope with there not being a majority amongst the candidates. The most votes in this first ballot went to the cardinal from Lisse; the next most votes went to the cardinals from Cathiopia and Cantignia. Central Centralian cardinal Sizan Werter recieved one vote, but believes that "he is not worthy to be selected to serve the church, clearly, as these three top candidates surely deserve this spot," he said, following the first results of the ballot. The top three candidates will be placed on a second ballot with votes to end on the 15th of this month. In a recent poll across the nation, most would prefer the Cathiopian cardinal as pope, due to his humility and work towards civil equality, especially for the people in the Himyar region. Also, most would prefer a reformist pope rather than a conservative pope. The results will be announced sometime early this Saturday, and by then the Tiburtinian Catholic Church would have a new successor.

socialist movement spreading; President announces support of this movement and end to autocracy

The movement known as the 4th International was launched by Tyrrhenia recently and has gained support among socialist and democratic socialist parties alike across the globe. This movement strives to create a society in which people do not live under the abuses of corruption by the elite and most importantly to eliminate poverty. In a controversial speech, President Calovva Telnizki announced that "the political parties of Central Centralia will support this movement and strive to end poverty in our nation, and above all, encourage others to resist abuses by an elitist government.", the President said. What he said most, however, has put him under fire. "As a social democracy, we look to the past, particularly to the monarchy days," he said in a public speech in Golarsen. "We see these treacherous days and see how far we have come since those days of an elitist controlled movement and power given to a corrupt king," he recalls. "Therefore we encourage those across the globe that are fed up with autocratic governments or those of a hereditary monarchy, where one ruler has most of the power, and the people never have the chance to elect their leader; but instead, live in poverty and futile conditions whereas the head of state enjoys their luxurious estates while the people suffer," he says, which is met with approval. "So I call those who are fed up with these systems to rise up and resist, and instead strive for a government that treats all of its people fairly, and promote peace and the elimination of corruption and poverty.", he announced, which met with loud roars of approval amongst the crowd. He also called for new governments to follow the models of that of Tyrrhenia's or Central Centralia's, which "are effective governments who have mostly eliminated poverty, and won't stop until we do!". Although the country will not join an alliance of any kind, the movement has the support of Central Centralia.

new peace monument set to build in Golarsen

The pacifist movement has been in full swing in the country for over 20 years, and as a symbol to protect this, a new monument is set to be built in Golarsen outside in the city hall square. The new monement will feature a 200 foot statue of four children playing and shaking hands, each representing the four major races of Central Centralia. This monument is meant to support tolerance and peace throughout the nation and signifies an end to violence especially among different races.

new museum of modern art opens

The new Museum of Modern Art opened in downtown Golarsen yesterday, giving the chance for abstract artists such as Episler and Kramshik to display their masterpieces in the museum. Above all the museum will showcase paintings and drawings as well as building concepts of modern architecture and abstract art. Vice President Rizard Dologna attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and had the honor of cutting the ribbon, opening the museum. Admission into the museum is free, and inside there are four coffee shops as well as souvenir stores.

tensions escalate following decolonization conference; Valkany mobilizes for war

Today following the Decolonization Conference in Cathiopia, in a move rather unexpected by Central Centralia, Tyrrhenia and Kyiv have placed trade embargoes on Valkany as well as other nations. In response, Valkany placed embargoes on them as well but lessened the embargo on Kyiv to a 46% tax rate on all products coming in from Kyiv. Delegates from the conference arrived just hours ago following the flight from Cathiopia back to Central Centralia and they immediately met with the President following their arrival. President Calovva Telnizki reports, "The conference in Cathiopia in a sense was a success, as it showed that nations expressed concern for the events in the Eastern Cape and wished for greater civil rights there," but then tells us, "However, the conference has created tensions very quickly between the Valkanian and Socialist countries....War at this point may unfortunately be inevitable. In case of a war we will withdraw all ambassadors from the involved countries and will remain that way until peace is brought about again.". Central Centralia was among nations to join a Decolonization Commitee, and have been working with the nations involved to bring peace and civil equality to the Himyar people. "The conference in Cathiopia cannot be regarded as a success or a failure, as it has aspects of both,", a delegate tells us. "The conference showed that nations care about the better treatment of the Himyar people, but what separates them is how the issue is resolved, as one side stands on keeping the Valkanian colony, but the other calls for independence in the region, which has caused recent escalations and a now possible war between both countries.". Central Centralia stands for independence in the Eastern Cape, but at the same time it detests any armed conflict between nations fighting for the independence.

Recent reports from Valkany also tell us that Valkany has called its troops back to prepare for war. The ambassador to Valkany has been contacted and says that life is going on as normal in Valkany, but at the same time there is this new strange feeling in the air, one filled with distaste for the nations defending the independence cause. The ambassador also told us that young men have been signing up to join the Valkanian army today to fight for their cause. If there is armed conflict then the ambassador will be sure to catch the first flight back to Golarsen. Meanwhile in Tyrrhenia and Kyiv, war preparations may have already started in those countries, but our sources cannot confirm any rumors from those nations. We will keep you up to date as this story progresses.

Valkany declares Eastern Cape territories independent

Recently after the escalations between the socialist bloc nations and Valkany amid the supposed genocide acts committed in the Eastern Cape Territories of Valkany, Valkany has decided to respond to the escalations with no, not war, which was feared; but rather a surprising declaration of independence for the Eastern Cape. The Central Centralian government was rather taken by surprise by this after President Calovva Telnizki talked with the ambassador to Valkany, who said that life continued as normal but that everyone feared a war was going to happen. However, to the pleasure of the central government, Valkany has brought peace and avoided war by granting independence to the Eastern Cape. The socialist bloc nations as well as a few other nations still express skepticism towards this new declaration, but the Central Centralian government holds a position that if Valkany lives up to what it is saying, then the central government will praise the Valkanian government.

new elections to be held for pope yet again

Recently the elections for the new pope in Tiburtina had narrowed down to three popes, but the Church decided to bring in more cardinals because not all nations felt represented in the conclave. Registration for pope has opened yet again, which means that Cardinal Sizan Werter may have a chance at being pope yet again, although it seems that Werter does not feel that God is calling him to be the new pope.

regular season in the EFL to end with tomorrow's matches

The highly popular EFL hosted by our own nation will hold its final matches in the regular season tomorrow, where all eight teams will compete in a single day. The results for the groups have been closer than ever anticipated, and it has been called a great success because the tournament was a very evenly matched and unbiased tournament. As for the groups, most groups have definitve winners and one has a runner-up as well. However, Group 4 will be the most nail-biting and hair-pulling group of them all, as all the teams are in range for the first place and at the same time can be eliminated. After tomorrow's matches conclude, the quarterfinal rounds will be announced. Also, there will be a formal dinner held in Golarsen at the President's House for all of the teams participating on Saturday night, and the teams that were eliminated are given the option of staying in Central Centralia for personal tourism, or are given the choice to return to their homeland (courtesy of Air Centralia). However, the winners will go on to stay in Central Centralia. Also, the grand prize for winning the tournament will be announced at the dinner as an incentive for the teams to do well (rumors have it that it's an exotic trip to a tropical resort in Pora), as well as the revealing of the final trophy. The dinner will be a way of saying thanks to the teams that participated in this historical event.

Golarsen-Penshko International Aiport opens its doors to the world

The Golarsen-Penshko International Airport, after undergoing major renovations as well as several new customs areas, has opened its doors to the world, which has been met with great response from nations across the world to establish flights with Central Centralia. The new terminals constructed, Terminals A-E, will feature unique airlines from across the world as well as Air Centralia being in Terminal D. So far, nations have expressed eagerness in establishing flights to Central Centralia, as well as Sylvania's flagship airline establishing its own hub in Terminal C. Soon, the Central Centralia Airport Authority has announced to expand the application system of international flights so that flights can be established between nations not involving Central Centralia. The CCAA will also plan to work with other international air transit commissions to establish an international air transit committee to help regulate and better establish flights between nations in this new era of international travel.

scandal rocks the vice president's family after nephew has relations with two minors

It's not very often that the Vice President, Rizard Dologna, gets mentioned in the news. Unfortunately for him this is bad news. An investigation has been launched for the nephew of the Vice President for having affairs with two students at the West Golarsen Heights Catholic High School. The nephew, an algebra teacher of age 26, but whose name will not be revealed, was believed to be having relations with two students at the school while as a teacher there. The teacher recently resigned from the school, but the school has hired agents to investigate the affairs. If found guilty, the teacher will have to face up to 20 years in prison and as well as a $DD 20,000 fine.

cancelled diplomatic meeting in our nation stirs worries - does anyone care about our nation?

The diplomatic meeting between nations in our region (Sylvania, Auraria, Beautancus, and Monkecia) was cancelled today and generated sentiments of paranoia, although generally not too extreme. However, even the President seemed worried that other nations simply don't care about Central Centralia and stated in a press conference today, "I wonder if we are doing something wrong here...I hope it's not that the other nations do not like us.. ?" clearly expressing fears that other nations are apathetic towards our nation. Others, however, more moderately offered the explanation that the nations were too caught up in more important, global affairs to worry about a simple diplomatic meeting that would not seek to solve crises. In fact, there was a resurgence of a new notion to be more involved in global affairs, as not doing so would hurt the nation economically. Experts agreed that the recent football tournament was a big success, but then Central Centralia had receded from the world stage by lack of involvement in other, much more serious global issues.

Some have blamed the lack of interest in Central Centralia on President Telnizki's government and their lack of interest in global affairs. Recent polls have shown that the approval rate of the President fell from 93% in April of last year to 71% this year, a sharp 22% decrease in approval rates. That trend seems to be going down too, and with new elections starting up soon, many do not expect Telnizki to run for office again.

clashes between communists and moderates spread throughout the country

As the general trend of disapproval of the government continues to rise, so do arguments between opposing parties and ideologies, which has led to clashes between groups. The two main groups involved in the nation are the communists and the moderates, who continue to attack each other when it comes to economic policies and income equality. These arguments have led even to violence, where a reported 43 people have been sent to hospitals for treatment of injuries caused by people hurling glass bottles, bricks, and other dangerous objects at each other after peaceful protests turned violent in the capital. Communists and moderates continue to attack each other, and they continue to attack the President's socialist democratic government as well. The communists criticize the President for his lack of empathy towards the "working class" and continues to support the integration of people into the middle and upper classes.

However, the moderates have called for lowered tax rates in the country, which currently stand at 36% for income, and have called for other nations to aid the spread of communism in Central Centralia. They have also recommended other nations monitor Telnizki's actions closely, and some radicals have speculated that Telnizki will turn the nation into a communist dictatorship if he is allowed to do so. The moderates advocate for lowered tax rates and the increase of free trade as well as larger global involvement, and call for other nations to assist in the halting of the Reds' movement across the nation.

The very notion of "communist dictatorship" is an absurd oxymoron. One look at Europe's socialist states should prove that, as their democratic institution are far more solid than anything found in corrupt bourgeoise states, where money and influence subvert any formal control of the people over their government. We furthermore find the tones coming from Centralian moderates very worrying, as they argue for foreign interventionism in Occidentia against their political competitors rather than engage them in a democratic and tolerant fashion.

If this is the democracy practiced in Occidentia, we must assess it is a hypocritical one.

presedential election: the candidates

Calovva Telnizki (Liberation Party) - The current President announced his return to the candidacy to represent the Liberation Party, the nation's largest Democratic Socialist party. At a campaign speech last night, Telnizki recalled that "Our nation has come a long way under the current government. We have erased the abuses of a corrupt, greedy government and have instead given a huge portion of our budget not only for new housing for the poor - but have given directly to the poor. And of course, my return to office will continue to erase poverty for good in this country. In fact, I will be slashing half of my current salary - that's right, half - and will give it directly to those living in the streets. Also, I will provide the poor with new jobs under the government in the ever-expanding public works sector. Believe me, Central Centralia - we will be the first nation on earth to abolish poverty once and for all!". His speech was met with huge applause and deafening cheers.

Nitika Triminko (People's Party CC) - Nitika Triminko ran for president in the 1950 elections, and has been the catalyst ever since of expanding the idea of democratic communism throughout the nation. Triminko has gained huge support from the communist bloc nations. He has been known to speak out against the centrists particularly, saying that "The centrists are the epitome of hipocrisy. They attack us with not only words but then with glass objects, as seen recently - and then call for world peace. They say that they want fair and equal treatment for all, yet they will stand at nothing to let the poor and workers live in squalor. They say that we want a dictatorship - whereas we know that they would be pleased by large, greedy corporations controlling the government. We must all unite to stop this terrible movement of greed and hipocrisy - once and for all!". Triminko especially calls for greater involvement in international affairs, and promotes an international peaceful communist movement.

Mischal Latona (National Movement) - Mischal Latona is the head of the centrist National Movement in Central Centralia, a party whose popularity has been steady since the 1920s. The National Movement is perhaps the last hope of pre-civil war conservatism, as former members of the conservative movement flocked to the NM (ever since conservative parties were abolished) and hoped to influence the party there. Latona's policies are generally what would be any other centrist party would be - lower tax rates, less government involvement in the economy, and promotes a sense of general national pride. However, Latona announced that he will not embrace the conservatives trying to influence the party, as they remind everyone of Central Centralia's dark past. Latona did not run for president in 1950, but ran in 1946 and finished third in the popular vote. In a nod to the communists, surprisingly, Latona has called for the halting of the recent attacks on the communists, as it reflects badly on the party, Latona said. However, this has not prevented numerous criticisms of Latona's policies by the communists, especially on handling the situation on the poor.

Azal Belvora (CC Liberator's Front) - Belvora is the head of the recently-formed CC Liberator's Front, a radical left party that aims above all to bring social equality to the nation. Belvora ran for election in 1950 when the party was only a year old, and came in fifth out of the candidates. Ever since then, the party has been slowly gaining popularity, especially by younger voters. Belvora was also the mayor of Rellispen City from 1940-1944, and at age 30 was the youngest person ever to be a mayor in the nation. As mayor, Belvora launched a city-wide campaign to rebuild virtually the whole city all in a four year period. In 1940, Rellispen City was regarded as an ugly port town with no real attractions. By 1944, the city had been converted into a sprawling metropolis that now serves as the entertainment hub for the country, and maintains to this day an economy that rivals that of Golarsen. Belvora promises that international affairs will increase at least tenfold under him, and that the chains of poverty will be broken forever. Belvora also acknowledges homosexuals in a positive way, stating that they contribute hugely to Central Centralia's unique diversity. Also, Belvora strongly calls for a more secular society and a move away from any church to prevent religious bias or prejudice towards any religion. Out of all the candidates, Belvora has the most energy and the most plans on his agenda (if elected president). Belvora is also a huge supporter of world peace and calls for other nations to give up their arms, just as Central Centralia has.

radicals bomb the National Treasury building

GOLARSEN - Two men have been in custody since this morning after six bombs went off in the National Treasury building, injuring two dozen and putting three in intensive care. The bomb exploded at around 8:04 AM this morning, and security officials caught the two men attempting to escape in a nearby stolen black car. The two men's identities are protected, but officials announced that the two men were from Sixia and Eiffelland, respectively. The reason for the bombing is unknown, but officials say that they believe religion was not a factor in the attack.

The damage to the building was moderate to severe in some areas, with the worst impacted area being the East Wing, which was nearly reduced to rubble due to direct hit of the explosions and burning caused by the bombs. The explosion put all government buildings in the area on high alert, and security at the airport is expected to be tightened.

President Calovva Telnizki spoke on the matter: "We are deeply concerned with the recent attacks on one of our most historic buildings and especially those inside the building who were affected by the explosions. We will be sure to notify the nations of the attackers and request that they more thoroughly review the backgrounds of their people." the President said. "This is the first violent attack on our government, and we will enact measures to make sure that it doesn't happen again.".

OFFICE OF THE KOMMISAR OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

The Commonwealth of Vendland officially condemns this act of terrorism and wishes to convey its sympathies to the families and friends of those who were injured in this horrifying event. No matter our ideological differences, we share a deep respect for life, no matter whose it may be, and such a cowardly act can never be supported by any rational nation or person. We trust the government of Central Centralia to bring justice to the two men, and perhaps more, who were responsible, and not be blinded by revenge in the process.

Sincerely,

Otto Kirsten
Commonwealth Kommissar of International Affairs
