CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF GREAT ENGELLEX

The Chambers of Commerce of Great Engellex is an association of 52 chambers, including the Chambers of Dulwich and Hammersmith, and the Nurnberg Engellexic Chamber of Commerce; Cantigny Engellexic Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Chamber of Shipping of Great Engellex, the Association of Chambers of Industry, the Association of Agricultural Engineers, and the Iron, Coal and Steel Trade Association.

It is to be recognised that while a ward of the Public Board of Trade, the services of Her Engellexic Majesty’s Diplomatic and Consular officers are utilized to the best advantage for the promotion of Engellexic trade, and the opening up of new markets for Engellexic exports.

The Northern and Southern Departments would be glad to receive any bodies or persons in the interest of supporting the expansion of commerce. The Government departments are, however, not in direct communication with the network of Chambers of Commerce.

As the Chancellor of the Chamber of Commerce of Great Engellex it is my explicit duty to encourage and nurture economic growth and investment to the Union of Great Engellex.

I believe that commerce, the most extended commerce, is pre-eminently the friend of peace, and that by the joint action of great countries to facilitate commerce in the simultaneous reduction of duties and to repeal protectionist laws - more will be achieved by those two acts to cement and perpetuate the friendly relations of Europe than by all the preceding acts and statues of national legislatures throughout.

The progression of trade between Great Engellex and her partners, allies and neighbours is a national policy that shall be fiercely maintained and achieved from reciprocally adopting the repeal and the reduction of duties between Great Engellex and all. Protective tariffs are the walls and partitions which separate men and nations, and they are the great causes of war, they are the enemies of peace, of progress, and of civilisation.

I believe that our mission in Europe shall not be taken alone - our mission to carry the blessings of free trade, of commerce, of civilisation, of civil and religious liberty, and of Christianity under the our flags all over the world.

Chancellor of the Chamber of Commerce of Great Engellex,
Viscount Wickham, the Under-Secretary of State of the Northern Department

Latest Commercial News :- HAMMERSMITH CITY DUES

A public meeting, convened by the Lord Mayor of Great Wixmouth, was held on Thursday at the Wixmouth Town Hall, for the purpose of adopting a petition to the Commons Assembly in favour of the bill introduced by the M.P. for Great Wixmouth for the abolition of passing tolls and the regulation of local dues on shipping. There was a large and influential attendance, the measure being regarded especially as the means of relieving the trade of this district and of the whole country, from the Hammersmith city dues.

Sir Richard Heels, the Lord Mayor of Great Wixmouth, presided.

The following resolution was adopted:

That the claim of the Royal Commissioned Corporation of Hammersmith to exact the payment of dues arbitrarily fixed, in respect of every article imported into, or exported, from the port of Hammersmith, without being under any legal obligation to expend any portion of the amount obtained in maintaing and improving the port, or for the benefit of shipping, is as unconstitutional in its nature as it is opposed in principle to all recognised law; and the exation of such dues to be expended for local and borough purposes, constitutes upon the trade and commerce of the nation a most vexatious and unjust tax, which, in the opinion of this meeting, ought to be abolished.

AGRICULTURE & FISHING

The Agriculture & Fishing industry is a major contributor to the economy. The production and processing supply chain generates sales of £81.3bn from food & drinks processing, £115.75bn from agriculture and £12.3bn from fish catching and production. The processing sector employs 16.2% of the Free Union's manufacturing workforce and accounts for 37% of manufacturing exports. The agriculture industry provides 86% of the total inputs to the Union's food and drink industry.

The Free Union is among the most intensive sea fishing nations in the world. The Union has over 120,000 km of rivers, many of which have wild salmon and sea trout, and also more than 80,000 lakes and ponds. Commercial fish farming (aquaculture) began in the Free Union in the 1950s and now produces around 350,000 tonnes annually, worth over £560 million. It is an industry that makes a vital contribution to the rural economy, especially in the southern and eastern regions, such as the City of Peterloo and the Hackbridge, where many communities are literally sustained by the employment provided - about 4,000 direct jobs, with a further 8,700 downstream.

In 2008 production of salmon stood at 579,588 tonnes, followed by rainbow trout (39,989 tonnes), brown trout/seat trout (1,332 tonnes), halibut (472.4 tonnes), cod (369.6 tonnes) and arctic char (13 tonnes). The shellfish industry produces 7,464 tonnes.

The value of all fish exports from the Free Union in 2008 was £2.45 billion.

Her Majesty's Administration is committed to the continued growth of innovation and sustainability in the food industry. The National Agricultural Policy for the Union will provide a long-term direction and vision for the industry. Government policy for the food industry also manages to secure the quality and high standards in which the industry has built itself upon, but it also manages to secure the well being of not only those who are employed by the industry, but those who purchase it's produce.

Through the Royal Commission of the Free Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Government also acts to promote the products of several major businesses with the intention to improve sales in a forever globalising market. With that, the CFCCC will assist with every oppertunity to attract investment for the businesses, listed below, and with also establishing trade of their commodities.
