Colonel Steven Nephi was a hard man of the military's Elite Infantrymen (E.I.'s). And he didn't like all this political bullshit that he and his men had to enforce. The President had ordered them to enforce the entire 'quarantine'. Even when some of the men and women worked outside of the city! And why was the President suddenly so in support of this move? The entire city? All because the Prince didn't like what some of the Senators who lived here voted like?
Suddenly some large black trucks full of armed men pulled up to pass trough his checkpoint. What in the hell? Karmanzi Security boys?
"We have an Executive Order giving us the okay to go make a few arrests for the Goverment." The first trucks driver stated as he handed over the folded paper with the President's and Prince's signature.
"Well ain't this a load of bullshit!" The colonel said as he turned and looked at his First Lt.
"Indeed that is sir. We know these guys reputations... But it's your call." She replied.
"Order or no order I'm not letting you little rats in. Turn around and go home all of ya."
"I'm afraid we can't do that Colonel." The driver spoke he reached down from under the seat and raised an old small sub machine gun. The gun clicked and jammed instead of murdering Colonel Nephi. Who pulled his combat knife and stabbed the man in the throat. The E.I. troops under his command began to attempt arrest on the other Karmanzi mercenaries. The Karmanzi's all opened fire or fled the scene. The ones who did open for the most part got a shot off before they were killed. The ones who ran were also killed. After the fire fight it was clear to Nephi that the Goverment was no longer representing the people and needed to go. He ordered all of his men to pack up and start heading towards Bardwell.
