Lee Byung-Chan wins presidency in tight election
Lee Byung-Chan is claiming victory today after winning a tight election against incumbent candidate Chung Il-Bak. The election was extremely close, Lee only winning by several thousand votes. Chung ran on a platform of Anti-Socialist and Pro-Oikawan ideologies, while Lee supported tighter restrictions on the Oikawan Empire and higher taxes for public education, as well as creating a relationship with the Revolutionary Defense Treaty. Lee will be sworn in as president later this week.

Parliament to vote on Alliance decision
Members of parliament will vote on the decision on which alliance to join today. President Lee Byung-Chan has proposed to the parliament that Daedong must end its neutrality in order to keep the country from collapsing under military oppression.
So far, the Parliament is considering applying for the EDF and the RDT, but if neither passes through parliament others are expected to be considered. Also on the table is the possibility of forming an Anti-Oikawan Empire, Asian alliance. This Alliance would be oriented to aid nations in exile under Oikawan Influence, as well as those who have been forced to relocate their nation to the islands of the Eastern Ocean. This Asian Alliance would also need key players in the Eastern Theater, in order to make it a viable force.
