The morning of May 5th began early in the newly declared Bolonesvian Workers Republic, the weekly food rations were delivered for those who had not yet evacuated, soldiers drilled with their Kadikstan supplied rifles in the northern outskirts of Krisstadt. Little were they prepared for the response of the Government forces. Government forces over the past few days have begun preparations for the assault of Krisstadt, the rebel head city.

Even though the rebels had fortified the city with weapons funded by most likely Kadikstan, according to government intelligence, rocket artillery had been placed in the Grünewald to the south of the city, aimed specifically for weapon and anti-air implacements. While the government forces did not want to damage their own city, with the majority of civilians evacuated before crisis was declared. This gave the government forces a small window to cause a very serious blow to the revolution before it even begins. Special forces already had begun the Island hopping campaign to remove rebels from the various island territory of Bolonesvia, this is a slow process however due to the large number of civilians in the area. The NDP sections of the country now are fully submitted to the government with the election of the NDP party leader to the position of Kanzler.

Krisstadt In Ruins!

Following the encirclement last week, Bolonesvian Government Forces, calling themselves the "Eisenherz", began the besiegment Saturday night, and following a three hour rocket barrage from the southern heights and a 5 hour Air Raid attacking weapons depots, vehicle storage, market places and defensive formations, the 1st Heer Corps began their assault into the southern outskirts of the city, encountering a heavily trapped and fortified area. The soldiers took causlties at first, however numbers and professionalism proved too much for the Leninovist Rebels. This opened a gap into the southern downtown district, which the Heer used to make a break into the city. Radio communications were seriously disrupted among Rebel positions, however Kadikstani Exipidition forces were able to help serve as a balance among the rebels. Government forces encountered heavy gunfighting and brutal urban combat in the Southern Financial District. While this major clash in the south was going on, the 2nd Corps divided into seperate groups of 15 divisions and assaulted the city from the East and West. This caused a pocket to form for the Rebels, who were not quite cut off due to an elaborate sewer supply transfer system. This was collapsed, however, when 7 Armored divisions finished the encirclement of the rebel capital. Rebel forces have been unable to stop the armoured advance, however, they are able to make it difficult for the tanks and other vehicles to maneuver through the city. The rebel forces suffered slightly high causlties, however many supplies and weapons cahces were destroyed, which is very, very costly for the newly proclaimed government.

In the Islands around the coasts of Bolonesvia, Stahlteuflen group 1, the special forces have been destroying many pockets of Extreme far right and major pockets of ML forces. Besides Krisstadt, the lines continue to remain steady with both sides remaining cautious. William Tovensteiger comments, declaring it an act of war against Bolonesvia to help the rebels. Moral skyrockets among the government forces with the encirclement of the city. The NPD continues rise in popularity as the popular opinion of the M-L party plummets with false journalism spread about the supposed harsh conditions living in rebel territory.

"Landing in Northern Bolonesvia"

On the morning of 5/12/1956, the sound of an air raid echoed through the city of Wilihelmsburg. The civilians living there were used to this, and continued on as normal procedure dictated. Little did those living in the Bolonesvian Workers Republic know that today marked the one of the last chances the revolution had at succeeding. The day began with Carrier Grup Nord launching both Airstrikes and Missile strikes against the coastal city for around 7 hours until 7:00 am, when, in the morning fog, the landing ships began to appear. The 14th Amphibious Division made their landing with litte resistance as the landing was unexpected, and quickly seized the beach head. Government forces used this oppurtunity off suprise to launch 3 simoltanious offensives. The first began a further push into Krisstadt, which was met with fierce resistance. The city was able provide serious trouble to Government Armored forces hoping for a smashing victory, often turning their vehicles into pilboxes as the rubble prooved to treacherous for many vehicles. Rebel forces began to inflict heavy causlties on the incoming government forces, resulting in the retreat of government forces from the ruined Socialist Capital. General Marschal Erwinsk of the Peoples Army was able to use guerilla tactics to full advanage, killing 7,000 Government soldiers and siezing many lightly armored vehicles, including one B-90 Light tank. The city has been marked by the government as a "No-Push" Zone, meaning it is ment to be surrounded and cut off, but not pushed into.

The other two offensives were met with much more success. The first was into the western portion of rebel territory, lead by the 5th Heer Group. This consisted of 589,000 Men and 4 divisions of Armor. The mechanized forces were able to overwhelm the rebel forces there for several days of fighting, until hitting heavy resistance deeper into their territory. The armored push was unable to be stopped due to low number of anti-tank wepons on the region until Kadikstani volunteers were able to mobilize and act as a stop for the government forces. They could not hold for long, though were able to inflict casualties in a fighting retreat.

Hope further diminished for the communist forces as another armored push from the former Krisstadt occupying force in the east was met with great success and minimal casulties, attributing this to the willingness of civilians to return to government control/lack of local support. Many are beginning to notice the over-estimation of Rebel forces by the government, and more aggressive policies of returning rebellious territory to government control are being made.

Reigenstadt Attacked! Leninovist Second in Command Killed!

On May 22nd, 10 days after the landing in the beaches of Willhelmsburg, Government forces are able to surround a large concentration of rebel territory in the south following the connection of the newly liberated city to the rest of the nation. The city was taken following light combat in the city center, but ultimately the garrison of the 1st Rifle Divison of the Peoples Army of Bolonesvia was smashed following heavy mechanized flanking in the west of the city. Soldiers were able to pacify the city and unite it with the rest of the Government controlled territory. With the securing of the border, the blockade of the northern shores has prooved to be more than effective, making smuggling weapons and supplies across the border the only way to bring in foreign aid. Reigenstadt continues to be a meat grinder as government forces are slowly picked apart by guerrilla warfare. The efforts to lower civilian deaths have proven successful, with the civilian casualty rate down 71%.

While the offensives in the North continue,a meeting of the government in the capital building at 8:00 pm on a stormy night, for a talk between William Tovensteiger (Who has been seen wearing his old military uniform more and more) and military commanders. A group of Leninovist Elite Soldiers, calling themselves "Peoples Hammer", were able to set several morter emplacements on the roof tops surrounding the capital and the Von Schwartzlande Military Base. This is a known supply base for fuel and a major portion of the 1st Corps supply line. The attack began around 9:00 pm, with the shells falling on both the capital building and the military base. The capital building was hit in the front, with major structural damage to the outer pillars and roof tops. The attack on the military base resulted in a large raid from the sea, aimed at taking supplies back to the island still controlled by Leninovist forces. The Leninovist forces were stopped near the capital within 10 min of the attack, however the assault on the military base was more successful. With more than 100 Leninovist men attacking, large amounts of food and ammunition, mostly anti-tank and anti-air weapons were stolen. They tried to escape underground and into the storm, 26 members were caught, 45 escaped to the shore, the rest were killed in the raid following the deployment of the newly formed "Black-arms" A special forces branch of the Heer. Only 3 people dead in the attack on the capital, one being Minister of Internal Security, Thomas Echinger. The President was able to evacuate safely.
