The echtenian delegation was accompanied by some functionaries from the new Furzillo airport to the government building complex in the historical center of the city.
Going up the hill to reach the Gonfaloniere, that was waiting in the government offices at the foot of the belfry, was a bit tiring but the panorama of the old city was extraordinary; from the highest floors of the senate building or from the top of the belfry you could see the entire city and, with a good weather and sight, even the sea.
Once reached the top of the hill the delegation entered a wide room with the walls embellished by faded medieval frescoes of nature, at the center there was an old wooden table, at the head of the table the Gonfaloniere Valerio Pietri closed a folder and stood up ''welcome, I'm happy to see you'' he said, and then walked towards them to shake hands while the translators were repeating Pietri's words.

Sabella Dirske was closely following the delegate from IC International. Today, the Bank was being represented by none other then Adalbert von Rijdners. Cousin to the Stadtholder of Echten. The Echtener's so far were very impressed with the beauty of Furzillo. Their guards and translator were as well.

As they entered the room and were greeted by Mr. Pietri Adalbert did the talking.

"Ah thank you! We are certainly happy to be in this fine city." Adalbert said in Dutch, as his translator quickly translated. "Shall we have a seat or are we off to another room?"

"Please" said Pietri pointing at the closest chairs. And then he continued while getting back to his seat "I'm pleased to hear that, Furzillo changed a lot in the last years, but the old town center is always the same beauty, I hope to have a chance to visit and say the same of your admirable city some day. Would you like some wine?"

 

[Echten]

Sabella shook her head and waived the wine away, turning it down. Adalbert on the other hand was more then pleased.

"Yes of course, I am a bit parched. I'm sure that after are talks are done today, we'd be more then happy to show you the International Bank's home city. Perhaps I could even offer a Casino voucher should you ever come." Adalbert said, whilst sipping the wine. he then pulled out a cigarette and placed it in his mouth. Before lighting it he asked, "Do you mind if I smoke?"

"I'm sorry, it's not permitted inside the building. Madame Dirske if we can offer you anything else let me know. But I don't want to bore you, lets speak of business, I know your bank is interested in our humble nation"

Adalbert frowned and put his cigarette away.

"Of course of course. I often lose myself in the pleasantries of conversation. The fact of the matter is that the bank I represent is very interested in your island. We were hoping to discuss plans for investing into one or possibly many more businesses. We hope to give incentive for your companies to move into our city, and with the proper level of investment... I think both parties stand to profit greatly." Adalbert concluded with a smile, taking a long drink of the wine. Which he found good, but not as good as some of the Burgundian drink back home. It was then that Sabella Dirske spoke up as well.

"The University of Echten's Department of Rocket Science is also very interested in your island Mr. Pietri. We were hoping to purchase a size able plot of land. For the uses of launching rockets of course. It should prove to be quite the job creation project for your citizens, as well as help us establish a base for future launches."
