The Gas Mask Gang, The Sons of Uintah, and The War Going on in our Union

Not many people don't turn their heads at the mention of either one of Wasatch's most dangerous gangs. Since the Revolution of '69 these two gangs have been rampaging in the northern Uintah Highlands. This article looks to go deeper into the conflict, and give the reader more knowledge than the superficial popularization of the conflict can give you.

The Gas Mask Gang

The Gas Mask Gang was started in 1961 by young John Burkman, in the nuclear radioactive city of Reno. On the South Side. The gang got its name due to the gas masks and suits they were wearing in order to operate in Reno. It is important to realize the ideology behind the GMG. They are first and foremost, Anarchists. Most of them were also soldiers in the Revolution.

Growing strength due to the lack of law enforcement in its main base of operations, The GMG soon gained control of the illicit gun trade of Wasatch. They were the sole-suppliers of weapons to the Revolutionary Army. However, post-revolution their goals went from civil rights and defending the common man, to spreading their coke trade.

With a new, more libertarian government, the GMG grew to great powers due to little police action. The coke trade became extremely damaging to northern and western Wasatch, even within the GMG's own ranks. Seeing as John Burkman actually died due to a coke overdose. The first war between the SoU actually started because of the coke trade. SoU soldiers ambushed GMG Sergeant, Charlie 'Chapman' Sarentos outside a casino in downtown Toole (February 13, 1984)

The Sons of Uintah

The SoU MC is a outlaw biker gang started in the town of Helper to the south of the Uintah Highlands. It was founded by Martin Emil Sunter, Jackson Boyack, and Roy Payton, three cousins who's marijuana ran Carbon County. They started an MC in 1976, and their numbers quickly began to grow. The population was growing ever more terrified of GMG growth, so the SoU MC promised safety without the crazed coke head violence that the GMG brought. By 1983, the Uintah Highland region and the Toole Desert region were divided between the two gangs. In the year 1984, SoU chemists created Crack Cocaine. The SoU Senate voted to start war with the GMG in an effort to erase powder cocaine and create a monopoly on the drug business.

They murdered a GMG Sergeant and began the most gruesome and deadly gang war Wasatch has ever known. Whole towns were turned red as the bloodshed proved to be unrelenting. The Union military was forced to be call in to bring peace to the towns out west by the year 1989. This was the beginning of the end for the coke war. The SoU launched an attack on Reno itself, however the military was tipped off to the attack, and sent in the special forces. All three sides suffered large casualties, but the SoU was forced to flee the scene as the military and GMG continued to kill each other off.

A peace was called between the two gangs after the Reno Massacre. The SoU didn't care too much, besides a new drug had become popular on the streets of Wasatch. Methamphetamine. The Crank trade proved more valuable than the coke trade ever had been, and thus coke was largely abandoned by the SoU.

The Second War

As the SoU obtained their Meth and Ecstasy monopoly, the GMG begun to experiment with drugs like Heroin. In the early 1990's it became obvious the Heroin had the addictive potential to outdo Meth. They began to force Heroin onto the streets, and in some serious cases far up in the highlands even forced hundreds of people to shoot up the drug. People became hooked soon. And once again the GMG was nothing to mess with. They began to stock up on weapons again, upgrading their arsenals and recruiting new members.

The SoU did not watch in silence however. They began to kill heroin addicts in GMG towns, and set fire to heroin labs within SoU territory. It did little however to stop the spread of heroin. By 2005 Heroin was the most popular drug in Wasatch. So the SoU was 'forced' to take on action. They ambushed a whole convoy of semi-trucks coming out of the Uintah Highlands. They were GMG trucks, and were pacted with Heroin. They butchered the drivers, and set the trucks on fire. And so the Second War was started. Currently the death toll from this war continues to climb, as the areas far from the influence of Salt Lake City crumble to the might of these drug cartels. There is no sight to the end of this violence, and it is my view that the government needs to step up and end this, before our nation falls to Heroin. @
