The Prime Minister is dead - English translation

FÄSTNING SVENSKA — Tragedy in Oceania as Prime Minister Linnéa Hjelmer-Lindeskog's aircraft crashed en route home from Cantignia. The Prime Minister's aircraft went down unexpectedly late last night and there isn't expected to be any survivors after rough seas didn't produce any speculation as to where exactly the aircraft crashed. As the aircraft is generally in good repair, it is speculated pilot error or sabotage.

All the more curious, is the fact that the plane crashed without a warning. Traffic control operators didn't receive a mayday or SOS signal from the aircraft.

The struggle is now to find the Airplane's black box to figure out what exactly happened in the air and what happened to the Prime Minister in her last moments.

She was returning from her trip to Cantigny and Nya Västergötland where she received several awards for peace, and spoke to colonial leaders regarding the sale of Oceanic colonies and the establishment of a Nya Västergötlander nation.

The plane crashed roughly 20 miles* northwest of Nya Västergötland according to the last reported location given to traffic controllers.

All flags in Suionia will flag at half-staff for the remainder of the month, declared the Riksdag early this morning.

THE Covenant can announce with confidence that the truth surrounding this international tragedy will be discovered at the soonest possible time. No words can express how devastated this Covenant is by the news that Prime Minister Hjelmer-Lindeskog, honored recipient of the Oceanic Medal of True Peace, has come under harm by accident or potential conspiracy. The heroine of a Prime Minister shall always be remembered by Cantigians as the awe-inspiring vision of peace and democracy, as she appeared so vividly before departing from Vesper.

Regardless of the cause, the Cantigian Covenant declares emphatically that this moment of instability will not go unchecked in the approaching era of Oceanic order. Vesper International Airport (VIA) has been under lock-down since the news of this event, and the Covenant has suspended all outgoing travel for the next twenty-four hours so the Government of Suionia may access all areas and personnel.

We consider the conduct of Communist, Anarchist, and Post-Delegationist elements in Oceania to be deplorable; incitement of anything less than than full cooperation in our efforts to restore security in Oceanic Airspace will be met with the fullest force of Covenant Law. No stone will go unturned in our investigation in to a righteous truth, and execution of justice in the name of the beloved Linnéa Hjelmer-Lindeskog.

GÖTARIKES NYSTATSMINISTER ÄR NILLA UDÉN JOHANSSON

>Suionia's new Prime Minister is Nilla Udén Johansson:The tragic death of Linnéa Hjelmer-Lindeskog forced the Greens to find a new Prime Minister for the nation. The with Greens, since the death of the winner of True Peace, riding the highest polls they've had since the elections when Miss Hjelmer-Lindeskog became Prime Minister. This fact alone made it seem that it did not matter who was appointed as the new Prime Minister, but with the coalition with the Social Democrats needed to form government, a certain sense of approval was needed from political allies. The result was the formation of Nilla's Government, as it's been coined by local Drottninggården tabloids. Miss Gunilla Udén Johansson from Söderholm, seemed like a fair pick and a familiar name, as her sister Annika is the representative for Suionia at the Hirosaki Conference on International Maritime Security. Gunilla, who is called Nilla by her friends and family has yet to deliver any speeches; however, Queen Caroline Lotta Rebecka II has officially confirmed her to form a government. Nilla is expected to suggest an exit plan in Bantyr and is then expected to travel to Nya Västergötland to attend the confirmation of the new country.

>Will there be an oceanic basketball team in Mariehamn?: Rumors have suggested that a Suionian business owner is looking into bringing an Oceanic style basketball team to Mariehamn. The basketball tour was considered a large hit in Suionia; however, no one would really consider it a viable venture in Suionia. The businessman figures the idea could be sold well in Nya Västergötland which would embrace the more Oceanic spirit of the game on a regular basis. Reports suggest the team would be based in Mariehamn and that the team would be sure to feature a Suionian style to the game. It is unclear if a team could be brought to Mariehamn before the start of the new season.

>Linnéa Hjelmer-Lindeskog murdered by foreign agents with Wieser connection: The tragic death of Linnéa Hjelmer-Lindeskog has slowly developed according to Säkerhetspolisen (Säpo) into full fledged assassination, confirming reports from Nya Västergötland's Politiken earlier this month. Säpo confirmed that the explosion was caused by a foreign object and that the object is 99% likely to have boarded the plane in Vesper. They further confirmed that agent that caused this tragedy was indeed foreign and related to the human rights abuses in Bantyr and is even connected to the Wieser missile attack that took place last year. This startling revelation comes just after Wieser press releases that confirmed that they had no leads on who the attacker was. The fact that a string of horrific events were all connected likely leads to the involvement of a foreign government; however, Säpo has refused to lead who might be most likely out of respect for the process. It might also confirm that Säpo had no involvement in the Wieser investigation that took place.

DANSKA HANGARFARTYG I GOTISKHAVET MOT MIDGARD

Their appetite has now enlarged to include the Gothic Sea and neighboring waterways, justifying their cause due to Götarikes complaints which the Danish found arrogant and self-serving. Götarikes foreign service has declared her complaints as justified as the Danes wouldn't like the establishment of a Geatish base established next to Danish territory. Danmark as of recent has attempted to tout herself as true Vikings, re-enacting Berserker landings and boldly announcing herself as an older nation. A point of silly contention since the Modern Geatish state was only established in 1956 after independence was returned by Arendaal. Prime Minister Nilla Udén Johansson commented on the situation stating, "The Danes have been at odds with our policies in the Nordic region, yet cannot even maintain safety and security in Germania. Midgard an independent nation, and our discussions with Midgard have confirmed this, our row with Midgard is on the basis of security as inviting a people with a thirst for war to your home is hardly a good idea for a peaceful nation like Midgard. Yet the Danes seem to have some kind of separation anxiety and cannot respect Midgardian sovereignty and ability to engage in discussions with other nations as they so please." It is unclear if the German communities of Danmark have appreciated Danish Viking horn blowing.

THE Oceanic Realms maintains its support of Suionian investigations in to this Suionian incident. We were not aware of any conspiracy against the Prime-Minister, and deny that any explosive native to the friendly confines was smuggled aboard the plane while under the supervision of Cantigian security sites in Vesper. This Office rejects the term "foreign object" if it indeed implies that the device was at any time outside the Prime-Minister's sphere of security, and within our guarded responsibility as a host to the Prime-Minister, who we decorated with the Medal of True Peace.

It has thus been deduced by our officials that the security of Cantigian Transportation Sites and Cantigian Airspace were never compromised prior to or following this tragedy. We earnestly hope that these facts do not conflict with the views of Suionians, who we value as friends and partners in our effort to keep Europe peaceful and pure.
