Prime Minister criticizes Josefino President's Twats on European Forum
The Verdugo Peace Plan is not perfect, but resilience not frustration is the important next step forward urges PM Emma Lise Olofsson in her daily briefing with the press

• Gutnish policy has been evasive on the topic of Pannonia, but supportive of the EF
• PM has still refused to commit peacekeepers to EF-Pannonia Mission
• No action to be taken on Tarusan escalation
• Government has not recognized any of the new governments in Pannonia

There is deep frustration in reaction to the Tarusan actions in former Pannonia that is boiling over among many European Forum members. The fingers are pointed directly towards Imperial Tarusa by President Jose Constanza of San Jose. Known affectionately as El Presidente, the Josefino President recently expressed on Twatter his dismay, "San José looks on with dismay as warmongering agents of the #GlobalExploitationConspiracy undermine the efforts of @EFRepVerdugo to bring an end to the #PannonianCrisis through the Verdugo Peace Plan. International law is shown to be worthless, and the European Forum a bad joke."

Combined with the corrupt, neo-colonial system of mandates, this failure by the EF to properly implement the peace plan we worked tirelessly to craft begs the question: is it even worth it being part of this useless organization? San José may need to reconsider its membership....

Constanza's speculation that European Forum membership could be worthless struck a chord with Prime Minister Emma Lise Olofsson. She retorted today in a press conference, "[…]the European Forum is not a perfect place, but when threats are made to leave the process of international discussion, whatever was written or said before immediately loses their value. To ensure the validity of the Verdugo Peace Plan, the process must be respected. The social media efforts of many politicians are made with a certain disrespect to these processes, and that is what undermines international efforts far more than the actions of any State that inherently did not want to respect international law."

Her efforts will likely not be appreciated on the other side of the Thaumantic. PM Olofsson is leader of KD (Kristdemokraterna or Christian Democrats), the leading conservative party in Gutarike. Olofsson however has never been shy to express her opinion on issues important to her.

Also complicating the issue further is that she has not made any effort to help the Verdugo Peace Plan along. Gutarike has not pledged any support to the EF mission in Pannonia, nor has Gutarike recognized a single new government in Pannonia. Instead Gutarike has adopted a policy where as whenever a government has proved themselves capable enough for European Forum membership, they may be recognized by Gutarike as well. This position has likely annoyed nearby friends in Hvidrige and Eiffelland, while probably delighting the nearby Tarusans.

Prime Minister Olofsson has made it clear however, the European Forum is sacrosanct as a matter of policy, even if all of the European Forum's actions are not to be participated in. The last European Forum project Gutarike engaged in was in collaboration with Hvidsrige in Franken, so Gutnish participation is not an impossibility.

Prime Minister describes Westernesse as lacking innovation
She describes the western most nations as ugly places of poverty, drugs, and filth

• Her commentary was private and leaked to the press
• Bjälbohuset has yet to comment on the incident calling it private
• Gutnish citizens find the commentary brutal, but fair
• Leak attributed to perhaps a foreign intelligence agency

Gutarike woke up to a strange attack dominating the headlines, this time from their own Prime Minister Emma Lise Olofsson. Her harsh words on Westernesse were taken as part of a private recording during an event at some point in the last month. On tape she can be heard saying, "The far western nations, Westernesse, they are ugly places full of poverty, with drug addicts, and disgusting filth that a clothespin could not hide."

Her office at Bjälbohuset (The Prime Minister's Residence), refused to comment on the gaffe of sorts only declaring the commentary as a private conversation lacking context. The Gutnish-Westernesse Society, a local association that encourages dialogue and exchange between Gutarike and the region was dismayed with the comments. Their President Jonas Augustinsson found it personally regrettable, "I can only hope that our relations with this bright and developing region can survive such harsh insult. It would be sad to watch our regions grow further apart."

However, Gutnish citizens are not entirely convinced the words were necessarily wrong to say either. Opinions collected ranged from harsh to a non-issue. For the most part the more wealthy Gutnish people do not seem to share much of an opinion of the region and found the comments fair.

The real topic of concern for the Government was how the leak happened in the first place. There are worries that a journalist or visitor may have been under the employ of a foreign intelligence agency. Of course it is possible that a concerned or disgusted citizen decided to cause trouble. Either way, individuals at Rikspolisstyrelsens säkerhetsavdelning (RPS/Säk), Gutarike's foreign intelligence agency, are apparently seeking an explanation for the leak. Extra caution will be used to log what individuals come into contact with the Prime Minister in future gatherings that might have a potential hot mic.

Queen Louise Peace Prize to be Awarded to José Constanza
The prestigious award is granted yearly to the individual that contributes most towards global peace for last 119 years

• Constanza has been involved in many peace projects over the course of 2021
• He is most known for his campaign of the Verdugo Peace Plan for Pannonia
• "El Presidente" as he is known, also defused a crisis in the Zaras
• Constanza's magnum opus for the year might be from the recent conference in Chagny

José Constanza is a controversial figure; however, when looking at the candidates for the Queen Louise Peace Prize, it was "El Presidente" that stood out the most. Constanza has been busy over the previous months visiting both East Zara to try to defuse protests there and was key in achieving support for the Verdugo Peace Plan. While both actions may have been flawed in outcome, the effort placed in trying to achieve peace did not go unnoticed by the Peace Prize Committee. In their official notice, they made a phone call to Mr. Constanza at what was around 3am today, but was a normal Friday morning for them. They have invited him to a formal dinner in Gutarike a week before Christmas where Constanza is expected to make a speech alongside the other Queen Louise Prize winners from Chemistry, Physics, Medicine, Economics, Literature, and Sport.

The action that perhaps sealed the deal for the committee was the most recent work for peace in Chagny, where it is said that Mr. Constanza was able to push forward a compromise that he himself crafted as a compromise and thus averted war across the entirety of Gallo-Germania. At this point it became clear that no other nomination would likely be better.

The Queen Louise Prizes came about in 1901 when Queen Louise exasperated from warfare and tired of the constant flow of negative headlines and news decided that people should be rewarded for their good contributions to society as well. She took a great deal of money from the royal treasury and created a fund in order to give cash prizes and a special ceremony each year for winners in the fields of science, culture, and her most controversial award, peace. In the early years most winners were Gutnish, but as time passed the award gained more and more international notoriety.

Queen Louise would pass in 1944, delivering her last speech in 1943 in front of a global audience. Her efforts have been continued by the Queen Louise Prize Trust, which has several committees and is independently functioning with a charter that has strict demands for neutrality and impartiality.

Mr. Constanza's award will come with a cash prize of 10 million Kronor, a medallion, and an invitation to one of the most exclusive dinner parties in the world where he will be expected to deliver a speech.
