Poaching; The special anti-poaching unit of the Imimoya Defense Force (IDF), with the support of the border police aerial surveillance team, have concluded an important anti-poaching operation in the "South Telele Lake Nature Reserve". As part of a targeted activity, the special forces reported to the local Public Prosecutor's Office two individuals, a 38-year-old (father) and a 16-year-old (son), surprised inside the protected area while they were intent on hunting to the giraffes that drink from the lake, violating the ban in force in the area. The two men were found in possession of firearms, thermal viewers, precision optics, clearly highlighting the intention to carry out a hunting trip within the nature reserve. The nationality of the poachers has not yet been made public, but it is clear that they are not citizens of Imimoya as they were found to be in possession of a "tourist" visa. Investigations are also underway to understand whether the weapons found in the possession of the poachers were brought into the country legally or not, in which case further charges await the two unwary tourists.
