About us:
The Independent Taishanese press is a newspaper published by the Taishanese human rights watch, which is an organization based in Wing Sing that seeks to end the illegal occupation of Taishan by Socialist Congress Party. It was founded in 1962 after the SCP began its current assimilation policy which seeks to eliminate the distinct cultures of the various ethnic groups in Taishan through forced assimilation. Children are placed in strict schools run by the SCP, and adults are not allowed to practice their religions and cultural activities. The SCP claims its purpose is to strengthen national unity by creating a solitary national culture united under the SCP, however it has only led to extreme poverty and distress in the rural regions of Taishan and has led to the creation of narcotic groups to protect themselves against the SCP. This paper is run through extreme observation of state media, as well as several observers who work with the SCP undercover to help provide us with information to help bring about the demise of the SCP. This is our first internet article, and up until now our publishing base has been limited to people who have fled the country and live in Wing Sing.

Rather, this press is against the current government of Taishan and the SCP. Since you are friends with that government, you should be opposed to this newspaper.

Today's Analysis

Today the state media of the Socialist Congress Party announced plans to hold meetings with the reclusive state of Minhdao. Minhdao espouses its form of Totalitarianism through its state ideology known as Chuthe, similar to how the SCP runs Taishan. It is expected they will discuss how to further improve the vast networks of censorship and reclusiveness that both nations have, despite state reports that they will be promoting "Peace and Friendship". This meeting is seen as having little benefit towards any form of peace or friendship and it will have no benefit on the people whatsoever.

The state media of the SCP also reports that heavy rain is possible in the next few weeks. Indeed, mass flooding has occured in Taishan before, and it usually has the potential to destroy the already weak network of roads in the country which would crush the already strained farming industry. In 1988, Taishan was hit with it's most major flood that it has ever seen. It killed thousands and crops that year and for 5 years after were little to none. This is when the Taishanese economy began its freefall from mild economic prosperity to mass rural poverty in the mid 90's. Since then floods have been a threat to the weak economy of the country which could lead to even more death and poverty.

Today's analysis: A Bold step forward in international relations?

Taishan is a reclusive country, and relations with other nations has been limited up until recently. Even now, The 2 councils have only allowed limited interactions with other Authoritarian countries such as Minhdao. However, it appears as though the bleak economic scene in the country has left the SCP with little options. General Speaker Zhang Wei quietly decided to seek admission to the Revolutionary Defense treaty earlier today, which could possibly mean that the the 2 councils have decided to begin opening up the country to limited investment from other leftist countries. The RDT is an international alliance of Leftist countries of various nature, such as Socialist Democrats and other Authoritarian communists and socialists. Despite this sudden and unoridinary breakthrough, much of the country is in ruin and hardship after years of neglect, and racial conflicts between Chinese and local ethnic groups continue to rage on unreported by the state "Press" of Taishan.​

Today's analysis: Recent narcotic conflicts could hinder Taishanese ability to present itself as a stable country

In the wake of Taishan opening somewhat to international relations, Drug conflicts in the far south of Taishan between the Taishanese Army and a local Narco-warlord group could hamper Taishan's ability to enter the world stage after years of reclusion. Late last night, 4 off duty Taishanese officers raided several houses in a small village near the border with Sinhai. The village was suspected of holding allegiance with a narco-warlord group which operates in the area, however the raid was unsuccessful and 15 innocent civilians including three children. Local villagers reported that they witnessed several armed SUVs leaving the area several hours before the raid, heading North-east into the thick and unforgiving forests. Locals also accused the Army of using the Narco-warlord group as an excuse to further its quiet elimination of native ethnic groups which has been a policy of "Racial Unification" in the country for many years, but has been quiet for about 5 as the SCP gears up to enter the world stage. The SCP has not and most likely will not release any information regarding the incident to prevent conflicts with other nations from arising.
