Palace of International Solidarity
Tovarich Square
Ivar Capital District
Like many Kadikistani governmental buildings the 'Palace of International Solidarity' was located on Ivar's main Tovarich Square. The Square had a length of 600 meters, a width of 40 meters and was planned and build entirely by the communist regime in 1932 on what was formerly the old historic city centre. Tovarich Square was build in the exact coordination's of the city's centre, but since the city has grown immensely since 1932 that wasn't true any more. Besides the Palace of International Solidarity, which was housed in the old Party House, Tovarich Square also hosted the new, much bigger state-of-the-art, 'Marxist-Leninovist Workers' Party House' finished a year ago and the People's Commissariats Building among others. The architecture of the Tovarich Square was a mix of postconstructivism with the newer buildings more brutalist styled. Back in 1932 Leninovism was known only for describing the Leninov Revolutionary Clan and its aggressive politics and the state was under control by the Tsjekova Revolutionary Family, more specifically Marshall Stanislav Tsjekova. As General-Secretary of the Kadikistani Communist Workers' Party he promised to destroy all symbols that reminded of the years of royalist oppression the Kadikistani people had to endure. Stanislav faces much opposition against the demolition of the old city centre by more traditional families such as the Burukova's, headed by the then still young family patriarch Bramski Burukova.
Today Bramski Burukova was much older, his wrinkly bald head testified to the many hardships he had to endure taking his place at the head of the Burukova Clan at a very young age after his father died during the Great Civil War. But he had done well for himself and put his family on the political map again not only as Head of the Army College of the People's Commissariat for War or Commander of the Ordansk Military District, but more importantly as First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Marxist-Leninovist International. In his overly decorated Revolutionary Army General's uniform even Burukova was not unmoved by the touching speech made by Georg Kaplan, the International's newest delegate.
"...make the fascists pay."
Headed by Bramski Burukova all delegations present spontaneously stood up in applause giving Kaplan a moving standing ovation. In the corner of his eye the First Secretary saw several delegates wink a tear from there eyes, some reminded of there own struggle back home while others were impressed and filled with revolutionary fire. The standing ovation continued for no less then two minutes before Burukova urged the delegations to sit down with a simple hand gesture. One by one the delegations sat back down and the First Secretary took the word the last one still standing. "I wholeheartedly welcome you, Comrade Kaplan, as a members from a most courageous and true vanguard Party. I must congratulate you on a speech that clearly left no one unmoved.", he overlooked the room making eye contact with certain delegates, "I am sure it will be on the headlines of many papers distributed by our association tomorrow. Rest assure that as a united block we will do anything to bring justice to Kannex, as we have before. Welcome Comrade! You are home."
