"By the way, would it be an option to check with the Emperor of Tiburtina whether he would be interested to join the Long Sea Mutual Defence Treaty?" Chancellor Von Seydewitz asked.

"Most certainly. The more the merrier. After all the Arentine Empire just made an attempt to claim Ionian soil as its own, so we need all the help we can get, in case we need to crash them."

 

[Rheinbund]

"OK. What about Bourgogne? Indeed, that country does not border the Long Sea, but it certainly agrees with our points of view. Furthermore, I want to invest into a railroad and pipeline system from the Long Sea harbour of Tiburtina to the harbour of Bourgogne."

 

[Ionia]

"Fine by me. We could also invite Portusgalia, who is already an ally and trade partner of Ionia and has good relations with us."

They are based on our geographic position." said the Minister demonstrating the proposed flag of the LSMDT; "Also, based on a Nichtsteinian Diplomatic comment I'd like to propose In Neutralitatis Concordia, the Latin version of United in Neutrality, along with United in Neutrality in the languages of all member nations to act as our organization's motto. Finally I'd like to propose that we establish a council for our organization. It won't have any real power, but we would appoint our representatives to it so as to be able to discuss matters concerning the alliance, without the need for emergency summits every time. If it comes down to a name change we could change the name to Tripartite Long Sea Union or Tripartite Long Sea Treaty."

A diplomat exited the room for a minute and came back once again. He whispered to the ear of the Minister and then sat back down.

"Gentlemen, excuse my tonque, but our current organization will probably cause a diplomatic shitstorm. various nations are even going to accuse us of imperialism and aggression even though the Arretines started this whole thing. Thus I have an idea to propose. We could turn the Long Sea Mutual Defence Treaty into a solely economic organization, by the name Long Sea Economic Union and continue to have a Mutual Defence Treaty, but not give a specific name, but instead put as little publicity on it as possible. In effect the Arretines won't have any reason to go against us, since we won't be threatening their non-existent "dominance" over the Long Sea and nobody will be able to accuse us of imperialism. Who knows? They might even join. Consider that my previous ideas about the council, flag and motto still stand."

"I am sorry, but I believe we are being caught in a time-space paradox, as the events you described can only happen in at least a couple days time, you know," Urs Unterhosen said as he dropped a cookie down a black hole vortex that just opened in the middle of the table.

OOC: wattttttttttttttttttttttttt We're supposed to have already founded the agreement. Right now we're continuing the summit considering that all the diplomatic stuff has taken place, to save us from having to RP a new meeting.

If seriously, it'd take ICly some time for Nichtstein to ratify the treaty through the ordinary parliamentary procedure. That you have chosen to rush ahead and post stuff is your OOC choice alone. But in so far as I am concerned, there would be time spent in between the moment the treaty is negotiated in general until it is drafted and then ratified.
