Argent and Azure (Prof. Alexios Kantakouzenos - Nauplia University Press, Nauplia, 2021) - A history of the political struggle between the White and Blue factions of Carian politics, including their 16th century origins as the monarchist White Guards and the republican Bluecoats, and their gradual evolution into the modern White and Blue Parties. The book includes biographies of major figures on both sides, as well as detailed maps and charts outlining the evolving factionalism within Caria. The book concludes with predictions about Caria's political future, particularly its factionalism.

On Suffering and Redemption (Fr. Galinios of Achernon - Soter Publications, Nikaia, 2021) - The last theological treatise of the renowned Orthodox monk Galinios of Achernon, who passed away in January 2021. The book was published from his last draft at the direction of Hegumen Lavrentios of the Sacred Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Achernon. Dealing with the inherent pain, suffering, and evil of the material world, Fr. Galinios qualifies it not as proof of God's absence but of His presence, since, according to the author, only faith in the divine can allow a human being to survive in such a realm, and to overcome his sins and bestial urges. The book is considered a response to the liberal and secular works of Prof. Nikolaos Makrinos of the University of Ambracia.

The Frontiersman (Markos Drakos - Ankyra Publishing House, Krini, 2021) - Kosmas lives in the militarized border regions of Pelasgia, a fantastic empire loosely based on medieval Caria. As a member of the akritai, the part-time soldier-farmers who guard the Empire's vulnerable frontiers, he often has to deal with enemy incursions as well as the activity of mythical beasts. However, his whole world is turned upside down when the Nephelians, a semi-mythical race of superhuman beings invade the Empire's southern border, laying waste to all in their path. As the Empire fights itself in a series of civil wars, Kosmas must race to the capital of Propontis, overcoming both man and monster to seek help from the Empire's wealthy core regions--and, perhaps, neighbouring human states. Drawing on both classical Carian mythology and medieval history, the book is a hit among the teenagers and young adults, and is currently being made into a video game.

Prometheus (Petros Damianos - Papyros Publications, Thoricus, 2021) - In the Year of our Lord 2051, humanity has made the first few steps toward colonizing space, establishing rudimentary but mostly self-sufficient colonies on the icy, red, metal-rich world of Ares. Residing in Prometheus (Colony 55)--one of the olive-green steel prefabricated tower-cities that dot the Arian plains--Iason works as a medical doctor providing services to ore miners and their families. One day while out on a dig, a tragic accident nearly kills him and most of his team, while destroying critical infrastructure. Elpis, the lead mining engineer of the facility and a personal friend, convinces Iason that the accident was, in fact, a purposeful action by the United European Government, which seeks to avoid Arian self-sufficiency, as it depends on the planet for critical resources. As events begin to rapidly unravel, Iason, Elpis, and the other inhabitants of Colony 55 "Prometheus" are driven toward the path to revolution and independence on the Red Planet.

Non-fiction: Past Ideology (Prof. Zuani dal Lago, Editoria Università Ca' Foscari, 2021) -- is a reflection on the problems with using analytical lenses as ideological endpoints when conducting empirical research. It is a highly critical assessment of the use of ideologies as analytical tools and is even very critical of his own past linguistic analysis. This highly reflective, even apologetic, collection of essays looks back on the good, the bad, and the ugly, of a career devoted to critical analysis.

Fiction: A Most Violent Gentleman (S. M. Barbara, Old-Middle-West Publishing) -- is a deeply psychological analysis of a Radilan Gangster who is also an "upstanding" member of his community and a devoted father. It shows how a person's psychological being breaks down as he has to increasingly compartmentalize his violent, sociopathic day job, with his roles as a grandfather and as a citizen friend-to-all.

The Muses of the Desert (Lefteris Remotis - Helios Publishing, 2021) - A new and syncretic retelling of the ancient Carian mythology, that concentrates a lot on the history of the Heroes, rather than the Gods. What is revolutionary of this prose retelling of the old legends is that it mixes Carian and Pelasgian mythology with ancient Urak, Ma'in and Nobatian myths, creating an extremely complex mythical universe, where Achillles and Hercules live in the same universe with Apedemak and Ghilgamesh. The retelling of the stories tries to keep them as close to the original as possible while also making them work in the same world.

The Nobatian Boy - The Secret Love life of Anaxandros the Conqueror (Erasmia Pavliade, Sublime University of Cyrene 2021) - The book talks of what has been seen for quite a long time as the biggest taboo regarding the life of Anaxandros the Conqueror, the Carian warlord who conquered much of Eastern Himyar, creating in the early middle ages the cradle of the modern Pelasgian civilisation. Many have painted him for too much time as this unsatiated womanizer, but the writings that he himself wrote, together with descriptions of his Cyrenian campaign, written by General Patrokles Aiakides show that while in Nobatia (modern day Cyrene), Anaxandros completely forgot of the Aresuran wife he took to pacify the territories he conquered before, and kept about 10 concubines with him through his campaign, the most significant of them being a young man, named Merkourios, whom many have described as being the person he loved the most.
