It is the only source of indirect information as a government outlet broadcasting any and all important information at all hours of the day. Only broadcast in Arabic with potential future in other languages. The IRB holds no affiliation with other external news agencies.

Mine Collapse in Eastern Province​

In the early morning hours a catastrophic explosion in the Montes Recti mine complex has resulted in 52 confirmed killed and roughly another 200 others trapped in one of the nations largest privately owned copper mines. What has caused the explosion is yet to be determined with efforts primarily being directed by local agencies and fellow workers of those trapped attempting to dig through the rubble to open the collapsed shafts. Officials at the site have stated they will be opting out of using explosives as it could result in subsequent explosions from an yet undetermined source or worse cause further structural damage inside the mines killing potential survivors.

The disaster brings highlight to private businesses lack of respect for the laws dictated governing safety for those in the mining industry. Many demand either a stronger oversight of the private ownership in the industry or complete buyout by the government making all mines in the country government owned. These demands come from the safety regulations enforced upon mines under government ownership not having had any major accidents in 2 decades.

Miners Celebrate, Government Takes Control

Following the catastrophic Montes Recti mine collapse nearly a month ago that led to the confirmed death of 251 miners the government has now assumed control of the major mining operations that have long time been independent, this includes the Montes Recti operation. Rumors have said that government officials approached the owners of the mining sites offering favorable compensation for them to become government properties with the exception of the Montes Recti site. The owner and several site foreman and safety officers are set to face trial following the worst mining collapse in the Islamic Republics history. The sites operations were temporarily halted for an entire week following the tragedy and resumed immediately under the leadership of government contracted foreman.

While some complain it as unnecessary and another move for government control of everyday life those working in the dangerous sector of mining consider it an important step forward for worker safety. This brings the mining industry in government control at about 80% of all operating sites, only behind the petroleum (100%), and telecommunications(84%).

al-Wahhab Formally Charged​

Trial date set

Ala Abbud al-Wahhab, once a member of the Royal court and Grand-Nephew to Muhammad ibn al-Wahhab has now had formal charges against himself raised in the Revolutionary Tribunal by the Islamic Republic of Kediri.

The charges brought before al-Wahhab include corruption, treason, and embezzlement. The initial charges of treason stem from his actions that resulted in the war between the Islamic Republic and Talemantine Empire in 1954 with the invasion launched by the Christian state to attempt and re-install a member of the deposed Royal family to the throne. Corruption and embezzlement charges stem from his theft of citizens taxes, important historical artifacts, and the brutal treatment of the citizenry by himself and his close cadre of followers. The trial date has been set for the first of Safar with the Tribunal stating it shall carry on with the trial in absentia should Abbud al-Wahhab fail to return to the Islamic Republic to face the judicial system and laws he has breached.
