16th of October, 1956
To the attention of the Right Honourable Anatolio Stathos, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Aegada
Your Excellency,
Our two Nations have the fortune of sharing the most noble and ancient of languages and cultures, along with a unique position of the two coasts of the Long Sea. Yet, for so many centuries, this exact position has not only acted as a chance for us to communicate, but as a division between us. On our part, we find this to be a most unfortunate arrangement, which we should do our best to rectify as soon as possible. At the same time, it cannot be ignored that, in recent years, our region has found itself in a rather precarious position, something which is all the more concerning if one were to consider the deep importance of the Long Sea for international commerce, diplomacy, and culture. With that in mind, it is my privilege and honour to invite you to the Imperial Capital, Propontis, so that we may have the chance to discuss the ways in which our proud Realms can be brought closer to one another at last. I eagerly await your response.
Signed and Sealed,
Sophoklēs A. Kravatas
