In addition and more specifically the cultivation of new crops - without governmental supervision - is allowed, as it is the Crown's primary object to rid the risk of famine that might plague our dear nation in future years to come.

Aside the creation of a nutrient surplus, the Crown also exclaimed its intentions to further stimulate the cultivation of Qat and Opium, with the aim to boost annual revenue due to taxation on commerce. Though many foreign regimes deny it, many consumers worldwide long and applaud for the further dissemination of affordable quality relievers.

Two noblemen executed for sexual assault

Sunday . 13th March
Agrabarhakam (Dowdaryastan) . Two Noblemen Executed for Sexual Assault:
The brothers Jafar Almuni and Al ad-Din Almuni, sons and heirs of Mir Hamza Almuni (Khan) of the Dowdaryastani Mirate, were yesterday hanged at the central Grand Market Square in Agrabarhakam. The two brothers were tried and sentenced to death by the national authorities after being found guilty of rape of a concubine in Farhatpur. Though their father, the Mir of Dowdarystan, issued an appeal to the Supreme Court arguing these allegations are actually politically motivated, the Court judged his claim to be false and stated that the honour and sanctity of a woman has been irreversibly damaged. This, the Judge stated "is sacrilegious in many forms and no man, whatever his position and place in society, should do harm to a woman and get away with it." Stricken by grief, the Mir Hamza did however state he will respect all made decisions and has additionally appointed his cousin Mansur Faisal as his First Heir on Sultan Nuruddin's advice. Again it is clear that true justice must and shall reign in our great realm.

Sunday . 13th March
Farhatpur . Territorial Lease Protests:
Throughout the country ignorant rioters have been protesting after speak of a possible lease of the most western islands of Bantah and Isam in the Strait of Sortain to the Republic of Justiza. The majority of the opponents are ethnic Rashalayas in the southern provinces of Jannat and Shergharshan, who fear their fellow brethren and their 'culture' on the isles will suffer suppression from the foreign government and thus do not wish to part from them. Our government has of course deemed such allegations as warmongering. So far, up to 150 hotheads in more than five rural cities have been detained and are kept in custody for further interrogation.

There are strong rumours about from within governmental circles that Rashani and Justinian delegates are soon to negotiate the early mentioned Joint Declaration concerning a Hundred Year Lease by which the Islands of Bantah and Isam are to be temporarily ceded to the Republic of Justiza. This honorable Treaty is to bring forth an economical boost to both nations and strengthen the existing ties.

It is said that the Justinian Republic is to set up and develop multinationals on the islands with the aim to grow coffee; where Rashani labourers are to form the core of the future work force. In addition, our local Islanders will benefit from substantial foreign wages. Concerning restrictions; and further access to the existing Rashani naval base and entry to the Kalahari Sea is still to be discussed, according to our sources.

Tuesday . 15th March
Hazratis . Ciricco Invests in Jannat Subah:
As a result of our Royal Government's economic reforms the first signs of commercial liberty and openness have set foot on our soil in the Province of Jannat, southwest Rashan. There, the Justinian-led corporation Ciricco Company Ltd. has purchased up to 21 existing large-size plantations worth of producing an annual 7,500 tonnes. In total, up to 25,600 acres would be owned by Ciricco and maintained by our Rashani labourers, who are to receive significant wages (an estimated 160 Rashani Rupa a day (16$)), while the Justinian Company has announced further investments - in accordance to Rashani legislation - in the region.

Many investors have anticipated changes as a sign of Sultan Nuruddin Shah's commitment in turning a page on rising protectionism and preparing the nation to join neighboring countries like Varanasi in liberalizing trade and investment policy.

Wednesday . 13th April
Farhatpur . Royal Entry Initiated:
As is the custom, the Sultan and His Majesty's Government are preparing for the ceremonial Royal Entry at the Summer Capital of Arambagh which is to take place next Friday, 15th April. Now the Winds of Winter are leaving and the Hot Humidity of Summer is approaching, the Sublime and Royal Entourage will seek the pleasurable climate of our central highlands near Lake Aram. Today, the Royal Caravan left behind the City Gates of Farhatpur and will complete a 200km long journey across the country, visiting several towns, blessing and greeting the people, before arriving at Arambagh next Friday.
Malalabad . Modern Age Cartography Restorations:
Sir Hamza Samshad, History Phd., Dr., a leading scholar of Malalabad University's Faculty of Arts and History and a notable member of the Governmental Office for Antiquities, held a press conference yesterday informing the world of a newly discovered regional map. This fine piece of cartography depicts our great Sultanate in the early 18th century and includes the northern territories as well. Dr. Samshad stated the map was produced in 1708 by the Ivernian explorer and geographer Henry Fletcher who was an attendee of the Umurid Court and resided in southern Rashan for two decades.

Allegedly, the map was a gift from Fletcher to Sultan Aalaamgeer and is unique not only because of its size but also due to its multilingual features and accuracy. Scholars today however are not certain whether the map is complete or not due to missing labels and other geographic features. Momentarily it is on display at Malalabad University and will be further restored and preserved by a team of scientists and scholars the University College of Fine Arts at Arambagh.

Eursystheus Gianakos, notable professor of Cartography at the University of Timhens and for many years concerned with the historiography of cartography commented the news about the discovered map in Rashan on Radio ERT: "For obvious reasons I could not set my eyes on this map yet but according to one my colleagues from the Malalabad University, the chart we are talking about not only has an high value from an artistic standpoint but its dimension, the multilingual toponymy and the accuracy of details make it a remarkable object of interest for all the scholars of cartography. I really hope it will not be long time before I might have the pleasure of studying it."
