The beginning of a new era of tennis has arrived, as several of the wealthiest families in Partenopea gathered to announce the beginnings of the summer's first major tournament in the sport. Inviting all of best men and women in Europe, the tournament was decided to be played upon the clay courts owned by city, after permission was obtained from the groundskeepers.
This tennis tournament while having just sent out invitations to various athletes across the world, marks the first major tournament in nearly a year in Europe as the previous circuit faltered a season ago after poor funding in several countries, left many courts ill-equipped to host hundreds of fans ready to travel from across their own and neighboring countries. Athletes are expected to respond to invitations next week.
The Vittorian Open, as it is tentatively named will feature the creation of a grand new trophy made from silver with gold highlights.
